Chapter 398 - Someone Talking Bad

In the morning Lory awaked early because Zhao Li Xin needs to assemble at the main courtyard, the man himself looks uninterested and lazy to the death, Lory has to pull him out of the bed and help him to change into the uniform and make sure the spell still working, Lory patted Zhao Li Xin shoulder "Okay, Off you go!" 

"I don't want to…" he said lazily.

"Come on, it won't take long to assemble and practice a bit" Lory coaxed him with sweet smiles.

"I'm tired…"Zhao Li Xin w.h.i.n.ed.

"You realize you just wake up aren't you?" Lory rolls her eyes.

"And I'm tired already" he let out a long sigh. 

Zhao Li Xin hate to gather around with stranger, he doesn't like to exchange pleasantries with strangers and he hates when someone telling him what to do unless is Lory of course, overall this morning assemble is everything he hated, Zhao Li Xin now is certain his plain is a blunder.

Lory can read his reluctance all over his face, she finds it funny as she unconsciously giggles, Zhao Li Xin eyebrows frows for Lory took advantages of his pained "When I'm leaving what would you do?" he wrapped his arms around her waist.

"I will wait for you patiently" she assured him.

But Zhao Li Xin frowned got deepen, he finds it hard to believe "Really?" he squinted his eyes.

"Uhm…"Lory averts her eyes from Zhao Li Xin gaze.

Suddenly they hear the sound of gong as a sign for all the disciples to gather at the main courtyard. Lory feel she just granted amnesty she push Zhao Li Xin to the door "Gogo-go you must hurry!"

"Lory, please don't make trouble when I'm gone..." his words are mixed between warning and pleading.

"I know, I won't!" she reassured him again.

Zhao Li Xin didn't believe her, when it comes to court danger no one is more determined than his princess but he can't stop her he can only throw a meaningful glance at Girsha, and girsha nods his head, the bird and the lord have a tacit understanding when it comes to Lory safety. Zhao Li Xin takes a deep breath as he left the small courtyard while Lory waves her hands to send him off.

When Zhao Li Xin's figure disappeared behind the wall, Girsha perch on her shoulder [Are we looking for trouble now?]

[No more than we used to….] Lory tapped her chin as she smiles mischievously.

Lory heard something interesting, her eyes follow the two maids who left the building. Lory search left and right and fortunately find a basket then she grabs any cloth around her and dashes towards the two maids. Lory followed them until they reach the river she pulls the basket near them and pretends to wash the laundry as she sharpens her hearing.

Not far from her the two maids are on the heat of gossip, the younger maid who has freckles on her face was talking excitedly "I heard Young Master Chen Hu Yin is enraged because Master the fourth master play with his sister's heart and he took side with Third master Xie Xian Zi"

"I don't know what happened, first mist Chen is so beautiful and talented cultivator, why fourth master Xie didn't satisfied with her?" the older maid sighs while beating the cloth to get rid the dirt.

The two maids suddenly realize a stranged woman is washing laundry not far from them, "You! what are you doing, are you eavesdropping us?" the young maid scolding at Lory.

Lory look left and right confusedly with a blank face she pointing at herself, the young maids face turn red frim anger "Yes, you!" she pointing her finger at Lory but Lory not scared. She smiles shyly and approaches the two maids "I,m sorry, I don't mean to bother these two sisters, I just coincidently hear a little but I won't tell anyone, I promised!" Lory raised her fingers as she swearing with an anxious face.

The two maids frown as they let their guard down because Lory looks harmless and a little bit.... stupid.

"Who are you?" the old man asks with a stern face.

"My name is Luo Yi Yi, I just arrived yesterday because my husband got accepted as a disciple, he was called to assemble in the main courtyard so I clean his clothes before he gets back" Lory looks rather worried when she talks about his husband to raised their empathy.

The two maids heard about the new disciple that Nan Yu Qi invited yesterday they say the new disciple bring his wasted and ugly wife with him. The two maids exchanged a glance and they stare at Lory with pity look, they are certain soon or later Lory will be discarded by her husband, the status of a wasted woman is lower than a dog is sacred mountain Peak, if they pretty they will become plaything but if they are ugly…..what else could happen with them other than dying.

Lory cheers when the two maids pitty on her, Lory smiles timidly as she continues her act "My husband is a great cultivator, it won't take long before he will be appointed to become inner disciple, he said he will give me maid so I don't need to wash our clothes alone, hehe…..but I don't mind, is not that bad to clean your own room and clothes isn't it" Lory smiles become wider as the two maids realize her husband not take her because he loves his wife but because he need a free servant, and this stupid girl believes her husband is sincere with her 'What a pity'

The old maid sighs "Fine, just clean your clothes, why you have so many clothes is it all yours?"

Lory shakes her head "No, this is all my husband, the laundry is lesser than it used to…" Lory make another stupid smile.

The two maids exchanged another glance then they shake their head helplessly 'Such a cruel husband' they lament inwardly.

Lory grinned widely as if she doesn't know what other people think about her.

'Ha-Chooo!' Zhao Li Xin sniffed as he wiped his nose with his sleeves, is weird he never catches flu for a very long time so why suddenly he sneezes today, somebody must be talking bad about him, Zhao Li Xin straightens his back he looks around and everyone practice with their kicked and punch passionately when the teacher watch them from the side. The teacher frowned when he see Zhao Li Xin stop his practice, he ignored the teacher as his eyes shift to the top of the mountain where the forbidden library is.
