234 Chapter 234: It Felt so Good

These thoughts flashed by his mind, and a worried look appeared on his face for a second or two. Though brief, Nathalia caught sight of it and responded with a smile.

"Great. Now we don't owe each other anything. However, if it happens again, I won't be so negotiable like this time." She said generously.

"Nathalia..." Vincent was furious, though he was good at faking. Amy's jaw dropped, still not able to comprehend how her family ended up paying ten million. What the hell!

Nathalia was very pleased with the reward. "Mum, shall we go? There are too many weirdos here. Think we've had enough outrageousness today."

Mrs. Davidson was born and brought up as a gentle, elegant lady. She had never seen a scene so exciting. Seeing the defeated look on the Berry family, she was very pleased. "Sure. We shall." She replied to Nathalia with a grin.

The two walked out of the room, arm in arm, cheerfully. The Berry family was left enraged.

Vincent took a deep breath to help stifle the anger in him. He managed to squeeze a smile on his face and said, "So, we were discussing the date of the wedding..."

Curt waved his arm and cut him short, "We will talk about it another time. I've got some important stuff to deal with. Excuse me."

He left without waiting for a response from the Berry family but threw a glance at his son, Matt. Matt seemed to get the message and followed his father.

Amy quickly ran after him. "Matt, wait. What does your father mean? You have to explain it. You can't just leave." It was supposed to be an exciting day, and Curt Davidson had agreed just before that bitch showed up.

Matt frowned, stepped backward, away from Amy. "You can ask my father yourself." He said indifferently, which enraged Amy.

"Why are you speaking to me with this attitude? Why do you blame me? I have done nothing wrong!" She said furiously as she neared Matt aggressively. There was still a bit of sauce dripping down her chin.

Matt pushed her away, impatiently. "Why don't you go and clean yourself in the bathroom?" He said, and left quickly. Amy was puzzled by Matt's response and didn't know how to react for a second. What? Clean me?

Kelly was suffering from a terrible headache. How the hell did it turn into such a tragedy? She took Amy's hand and led her to the bathroom. As she was waiting outside, there came a piercing screaming from the bathroom, "Nathalia Carter! I hate you! You are dead!"

Within just a few minutes, Nathalia ordered plenty of food. We deserve some good food. We've just won a lovely fight. It was rather energy-consuming.

As soon as the food was served, both were like two excited kids offered the best sweets in the world and dug in happily. When their stomachs were finally satisfied and pleased, they looked at each other and smiled. Then Mrs. Davidson started, "Nathalia?" and paused.

Nathalia could tell that she had questions. "Yes, mum. Ask me." She smiled encouragingly. She can't hide. It's better this way. People like her are much easier to get along.

Mrs. Davidson hesitated for a little while, and then she asked the question that bothered her the most. "You've met Curt Davidson before? A few times? It seems like he quite likes you."

Nathalia was rather taken aback. She didn't expect this question to come. Does she still care about Curt Davidson? Nathalia wondered. She had realized that Mrs. Davidson had slowly regained her memories, but she had never asked about it.

Sensing that Mrs. Davidson was a bit worried, Nathalia pretended not to take notice of it and replied with a giggle, "Really? Do you think he likes me? Ha. I've even chased him around his house, throwing plates at him and making a mess of his furniture."

Mrs. Davidson's jaw dropped, "What? Why?"

Nathalia then realized Mrs. Davidson had no idea of the incident at all. Somehow it made her blush as she told her what happened. "Err. It was when you were in hospital last time..."

She didn't care about how Mrs. Davidson would think of her at all, but it seemed to have changed, and she actually felt a bit awkward telling her about the incident.

Mrs. Davidson couldn't find her tongue for a while after hearing the story.

"I had no idea at all! Spencer didn't say a word about it."

Nathalia's face turned even redder. "Perhaps Spencer was worried that you would hate me for doing that. I mean, he's your husband, after all." Spencer was always careful with what to tell and not to tell his mother, subconsciously protecting Nathalia.

Now Nathalia was a bit worried. I hope she doesn't think badly of me.

"Husband? Huh. We are more like strangers." Mrs. Davidson replied with a sneer. There were helplessness and disappointment in her voice. She didn't blame Nathalia at all as she knew Nathalia did it to save her. She was touched, knowing that there was someone there that cared so much about her.

Nathalia could feel her sadness, yet she didn't know what to say. She held Mrs. Davidson's hand quietly.

Mrs. Davidson shook her head as if to shake off the negative thoughts and smiled at Nathalia, "I didn't know you are such a wild one!" She teased.

Recalling how ridiculous the Berry family looked, Mrs. Davidson couldn't help laughing out. "God, did you see their faces? It felt so good!"

Nathalia heaved a sigh of relief. It's good to see her laugh.

Then Mrs. Davidson suddenly said seriously, "You can never treat Spencer this way, though."
