Chapter 325 - Memory Seal

Memory seal?

Liu Xiaodan looked up at the master before Mian Tianyu sighed. Li Feng didn't teach him about it indeed. The master then began to explain: "Memory seals are one of the most invaluable resources of a shaman. Normally, it's used for storing spells that we learn through creating a seal in our mind. It could contain every spell and ritual that we read about and study on our own. Think of it as some kind of data storage.

"However, as it was indeed too useful, those who are capable of creating more than one memory seal in their minds tend to use it in different ways. Bingbing, in particular, has at least three seals in her mind. One for her spells and rituals, another for her academic knowledge, and another for the various information she needed to run her businesses. Feng'er can do the same thing as well.

"Had you tried learning it from him?" Mian Tianyu asked again before Liu Xiaodan shook his head slowly. The master then hummed and made a hand seal. A streak of light then flashed as he moved his hand. The streak entered Liu Xiaodan's head, and the young man felt like something went inside him.

In an instant, he suddenly felt like he knew something that he hadn't known before. It was exactly how to make a memory seal. However, he heard Tang Mingming ask about it as if his friends could actually see the seal when they're possessing him. Still, this was another kind of cheat he wanted to have.

Mian Tianyu then hummed. "Memorize the hundred questions in ten minutes. Then, read them out to me."

The night had already fallen when Li Feng had reached the Mian Residence along with the senior shamans that asked for his help. He wasn't particularly exhausted, but he would rather sleep than eat for tonight. When he reached his room, he spotted Qiao Shan who was lying on the bed. Her feet were in the air, and she was lying flat on her tummy. Seeing a good opportunity, he checked if she was using the camera or not.

Actually, it only seemed that she was playing a game on her phone—one that Li Feng had bought for her. He couldn't always give her his phone, but he had already transferred his game account to her email.

"Hey, Sugar, are you still playing?" Li Feng climbed on the bed and got on top of her. He placed his chin on her shoulder for a cute greeting, but his smile froze when he just saw a 'Triple Kill' flash on the screen. Damn, Ruan Jin had turned his girlfriend into a geek.

"How was your mission?" Qiao Shan only glanced at him before teleporting to the base. She moved her head to kiss the corner of his lips before attending to her game again. At this, Li Feng was stunned… when was the last time that Qiao Shan had the initiative to kiss him first without getting all shy? Could it be that those guys were teaching her more than what he thought they were?

Nah, what could they teach her aside from the things that they knew well? If anything, they probably wouldn't be able to get horny towards a woman who could embody a demon.

"It went well. They just needed an extra hand after all." After thinking about it for a while, he decided that it was still okay. He just got off of her and gathered clothes so he could take a quick shower and change into fresh tees and pants before sleeping.

Seeing that Li Feng was headed to the shower, Qiao Shan pursed her lips as if determined to do something. They were already winning so she sent a message to Ruan Jin about early quitting because the hubby had come home. However, before she could even send her carefully concocted message, the game ended. In the end, she could just say goodbye and leave.

She didn't even take clothes from the wardrobe. She just placed the phone by the bed and headed to the ensuite, catching Li Feng in the act of stripping his last piece of apparel. Unlike the first time she did this, she was more confident in actually jumping into the shower with the hubby.

The loud sound of the blow-dryer echoed in the ensuite as Li Feng dried Qiao Shan's hair. They were both in towels only as Qiao Shan didn't bring clothes with her. However, that wasn't a bad thing after all. The bad thing was that… Qiao Shan would rather talk about the things that she had seen than what she experienced. In her defense, her life wasn't eventful.

Li Feng frowned. "Xiaodan is still reviewing for the theory test after earlier? Didn't he say if he passed or failed?"

"Not really. I never saw him so eager to read things." Qiao Shan hummed. "Also, he mentioned something about a memory seal. Hm, I guess people outside a shaman family wouldn't normally think we make use of something like that. Then again, wouldn't Xiaodan's friends eat up something like that?"

"Actually, that's why I didn't even think of speaking about it." The young man only gave a shrug after bringing down the dryer and proceeded to comb Qiao Shan's hair; he even separated it for twin plaits. "Memory seals are practically food to the entities as they contained concentrated yin energy. Hm, did Grandfather think Xiaodan should be able to keep his memory seal safe from them?"

Qiao Shan only nodded and wondered why Li Feng was braiding her hair when she was about to sleep. "Feng'er, what are you doing?"

The young man only hummed as he worked on it. "Yunru said that you should sleep with braids so you won't damage your hair. Since it's very beautiful with it getting longer, I figured I should help you with it now that I have the time and willingness to do it."

"Oh." Qiao Shan only giggled.

The proof Li Feng had was sourced from other books that ended up placing the two entities in the same timeline and power output. It's just that Liu Xiaodan found the records of it before it turned into a demon. "Guangru burned down an entire village? He then waited for another few years, hoping that some others would settle there before leaving? It almost seemed that he traveled quite a few places before coming to the capital..."

Even if he was reading about the ancient demon tree, he had a smile on his face. He felt a bit satisfied reading things about Guangru.
