Chapter 736 - 61: She Didn’t Dare To Stop

Angelo once shot a lot of car movies when she was Angela, so she knew how to jump from a fast-moving car.

She covered her head with her hands and rolled around on the ground several times before she stopped.

Luckily, it was in the suburbs. There were no other cars on the road. So Angelo didn't have an accident.

Feeling the pain on her body, she cursed and struggled to stand up. Luckily, she just had some bruises, and there were no other injuries.

Those bad guys would come for her, Angelo knew it. She didn't complain but looked around and quickly ran to the hill.

She didn't know if those people came to her. She didn't dare to stop. It was hard to walk in the mountains, and there were brambles around. Soon, Angelo's clothes were torn.

At this time, she saw a man in the front. After thinking for a while, she walked to a secret place, tore her b.r.e.a.s.t wrap, and put Adam's apple down in her pocket.

When she got herself prepared, she walked to the man and patted him.

"Excuse me, do you know the way to the company of the Thorne?" she gave a confused look.

The man turned back and looked up and down at Angelo. When he saw her as a girl, the vigilance in his eyes lessened.

"It's far from downtown. How do you get here, Miss?"

Everyone in Boom knew Thorne' company, so did the man.

"I was going to the company for my brother, but the driver was a bad guy. I tried so hard to escape from them. Now I lost myself here."

With that, Angelo wept and looked sad. The man felt compassion for her.

"Yeah. There are many bad people… Well, how about you go home with me. I will go shopping downtown later. You can go with me. All right?"

The man was a kind person, and he didn't want to see the girl suffer and made the promise. Angelo agreed at once when she heard that.

Then the man carried the wood on his back and walked down a mountain road. Angelo was still wary of the man but followed him up after thinking for a while.

She just wished that her luck was not so bad and that the man was not a bad guy.

Soon, Angelo followed the man to his home. She glanced at the house and smiled.

At this time, a woman walked out from inside. She gave Angelo a wary look.

"Honey, this is a girl I met on the mountain."

The man explained how Angelo's suffered earlier to his wife, whose hostility was visible a while ago, then quickly her hostility disappeared. And Angelo smiled kindly at her.

She walked up and held the woman's arm.

"I'm sorry to bother you, madam," Angelo said softly.

"It's all right, Miss."

The woman glanced over at Angelo when she saw her torn clothes, "Your clothes were torn. I got some new clothes here. You can wear them if you don't mind," she kindly offered help.

"Yeah. I'd love to. Thanks so much!" Angelo thanked the woman.

She had been worrying about her clothes, which were specially made for the Thorne. Since she was determined to go to the Thorne' house as Angelo's sister, she couldn't wear them anymore.

Drake must have found out that she was kidnapped at this time. So she could take the chance and show up as Angelo's sister to cover her lie.

"Then come in with me," said the woman.

Angelo followed her into a bedroom. The woman took a dress from a closet and handed it to Angelo.

Angelo wasn't used to changing in front of others, but she still took her clothes off.

"Oh, there are so many wounds on your body. If you don't take care of them now, they will get worse."

The woman was surprised at the wounds on Angelo, which reinforced her belief in Angelo's story.

Angelo didn't feel the pain until the woman warned her. "Ouch!" she let out a groan.

Hurriedly, the woman took out a medical kit. When she saw Angelo's surprising look, she smiled. While putting the medicine on the wound, she explained, "My husband and I are from the Watts family. I've learned medicine for a few years. Later, the master of the Watts family drove us out, and we settled here. I prepared some medical here for the emergency."

"Yeah," Angelo answered in a low voice.

Thinking of the Watts, she had some doubts and asked, "The Watts family, you said… do they have a daughter named Ivy?"

"You know them? Yeah. Her family is also a relative of the first Watts family. So, we were kind of relatives with them. I thought they could treat us well, but they just drove us out," the woman sighed.

After hearing her words, Angelo became more confused. It seemed that Ivy's family wasn't the first Watts family. So, which was the first Watts family?

Angelo's surname was also Watts, could she be… She had a bold idea.

At this time, the woman had doctored her. She put on the dress. When the woman was putting away the medical kit, she transferred her Adam's apple to the pocket of the dress from the suit. After that, she stood up.

As the woman turned to look at Angelo, she was stunned. Then she took out a wig and put it on Angelo's head.

"That's better." The woman gave a satisfied look and held Angelo's hand to walk out.

"Oh, by the way, may I have your name?" she asked curiously.

Angelo thought about it and then said, "My name's Angeline Watts." She didn't cover her surname.

Just as she thought, the woman gave a surprising look.

"Are you from the first family?"

The woman let go of Angelo's hand, and a look of hostility appeared in her eyes. Angelo shook her head at once.

"My surname happens to be Watts. Actually, I have a feud with the Watts family."

Angelo clenched her hands as she spoke, and there was a flash of anger in her eyes. She wasn't like lying, the woman thought and then was relieved.

As she remembered, there was only one daughter, Ivy, in the leading Watts family. She had never heard of Angeline.

"My husband will send you to the downtown after lunch," the woman said.

Angelo nodded and thanked her.

Soon, the meal was ready. They were simple food, but Angelo enjoyed them. She complimented, making the hostess smiled.

Just like they promised, the man sent Angelo downtown after lunch.
