Chapter 738 - 63: You Should Thank Her

After paying the bills, Patrick took Angelo to the house of the Thorne.

"Angeline, Drake looks serious. Don't be afraid when you see him. My brother is a nice person, but since he handles big responsibility in the company he often looks serious, moreover, he deals many activities on a daily basis,"

Patrick was a little worried when he thought of Drake's temper. Angelo nodded. She knew Drake well, but it was the first time she would meet him as a girl. It was reasonable that Patrick worried about her.

"Is Drake home, Hale?"

Patrick looked around the house but didn't see Drake.

"He is in the study, looking for Angelo's disappearance. He might be worried about that child,"

"All right. I'll go to him."

Patrick went upstairs. Hale then noticed Angelo, who was behind Patrick.

"Mr. Angelo?" Hale asked in surprise.

Because she was the same as Angelo, the only difference between them was that she was more feminine and wore a woman's dress.

"I'm Angeline, Angelo's sister," Angelo smiled sweetly.

Since she showed up as Angelo's sister, she tried to behave differently from Angelo. Then people would not reveal her.

"Please take a seat, Miss Angeline."

Hale glanced over the visitor but still couldn't believe his eyes. Then he asked the maid to serve her. He can't detach the weird and strong thought that the visitor is Angelo, not another person.

"Thank you."

Angelo picked up the cup and took a sip of the coffee. Subconsciously, she looked in the direction of Drake's study.

After a while, Patrick came out of the study. Angelo looked to the back of him but didn't see Drake. Somehow, she was disappointed.

Patrick walked to her and said apologetically, "Sorry, Angeline. He is looking into Angelo's case right now. He is too busy to see you right now."

Angelo smiled at Patrick's words. She didn't expect Drake to be so devoted to her. He even had no time to see his savior.

"It's all right," she replied gently, putting down the cup.

Suddenly, "You're Angelo's sister?" a cold voice sounded.

She turned and saw Drake in a sharp suit, which couldn't cover his exhaustion.

"Angelo?"

Drake was surprised when he saw her face. He came downstairs with some haste in his steps.

When he learned that Angelo was missing, he was so worried that he didn't care about the clue to his food poisoning killer. He sent everyone to look for Angelo but got no indication of "him." So, when he saw Angelo's face, he thought it was his brother.

"I'm Angeline Watts, Mr. Drake."

Angelo was touched when she saw Drake like this. But she was Angelo's sister now. So, she gave a warm smile. She couldn't afford to make mistakes and expose her real identity.

"Drake, this is your savior as well as Angelo's sister," Patrick chimed in.

Drake then carefully looked at Angelo. Soon, a hint of disappointment appeared in his eyes.

"Yeah," he said in a low voice, walking slowly up to Angelo.

As he looked at Angeline, Angelo appeared in his mind.

He couldn't help touching Angelo's face. Angelo trembled, and her eyes filled with shock.

"Mr. Drake?"

She retreated a few steps and was surprised at Drake's action. As she remembered, Drake didn't hang out with girls. Why did he touch her face at first sight with her?

When Drake realized what he was doing, he became more upset. Since Angelo disappeared, his heart had been on edge for some reason.

"I'm sorry. I just can't help it, I... I'm worried about Angelo's disappearance," Drake gently said, like giving an explanation. Then he sat down and picked up the cup in the front.

"Mr. Drake…" Angelo hurriedly called him, but he had taken a sip. He put down the cup and looked at Angelo with confusion full of his eyes.

"Nothing."

With that, Angelo blushed. That was her coffee, and she just drank it.

She remembered Daisy's words, saying that two people using the same cup is like kissing indirectly. Her face burned. Somehow, she was quite s.e.n.s.i.t.i.v.e today.

It must be the dress, Angelo thought. She pretended to be calm and sat down.

"Drake, Angeline saved you. You should thank her."

Patrick sat down next to Angelo and looked at her with obsession.

Seeing that, Drake got more upset and coldly glanced at Patrick.

Patrick shivered. He looked up at Drake cautiously, thinking that he didn't do anything that offended him.

"Stay at home for one more month."

Hearing that, Patrick remembered that he sneaked out today. No wonder he felt something was wrong.

"I'll reflect on myself. Please forgive me, Drake."

As he spoke, he quickly stood up and went upstairs.

Angelo felt funny when she saw his flight and laughed. It seemed that Patrick was punished by Drake every time she met him.

Hearing the laughter, Drake thought of Angelo. He found no clue of Angelo till now. Thinking of that, he clenched his fists.

"Arrange a room for Miss Angeline, Hale."

Hale nodded.

Then Drake looked at Angelo and said, "Excuse me, I have to handle something."

After that, he gulped down the coffee and walked upstairs.

Angelo hurriedly got up, "Dra… Mr. Drake."

She caught up with him and grabbed his sleeve.

Her movement reminded Drake of Angelo. He was stunned for a moment, then quietly pushed away Angelo's hand and asked coldly, "What's the matter?"

"Nothing," Angelo answered with embarrassment, giving a wry smile before turning around.

Without hesitation, Drake went upstairs.

Angelo looked at the back of Drake, slapped her hand herself, and muttered in a low voice, "What's wrong with you? He goes upstairs. Why do you stop him?"

Somehow, Angelo felt she wasn't like herself since she met Drake, which she blamed on her change of dress and her nervousness to meet Drake.

At this moment, Hale came to her.

"How about I take you to your room, Miss Angeline?" said Hale respectfully.

Angelo nodded and thanked him for what he had arranged.

"You can call me if you need something," he added.

"Thanks," Angelo thanked him again.
