Chapter 775 - 100: You Want Trouble?

The foreman asked. He looked furious. A newcomer couldn't know these things, and even he had just learned it from his boss.

Seeing the look of the foreman, Angelo knew that she was exposed.

"I heard it from someone else. I'm not quite sure," she said, clenching her fists and ready to fight. But she still pretended to know nothing.

"Don't believe him. Look at his wristwatch! I saw it in the exclusive shop. It's worth thirty million dollars," a worker said, giving a greedy look.

And the other workers stood up when they heard that.

Angelo touched her wristwatch and thought that she couldn't cover her identity any longer. But since she had known what she wanted to know, exposing wasn't a big deal.

Thinking about that, she slightly coughed and gave an arrogant expression, but it didn't lessen her wariness at all.

"Yeah. I'm Angelo, the new manager of the resort. Did I surprise everyone here?"

The workers panicked when they heard that, but then they looked quite excited.

"No matter if he's the manager or not, no one will know if he's missing," one worker said.

The other workers nodded. Angelo looked thin and weak. So they were quite confident that they could deal with her.

"You want trouble? Aren't you afraid that Drake will punish you if he knows it?" She senses she's in danger right now.

"He won't know anything," said the foreman.

Then he was about to call other workers to move. Angelo quickly stepped forward and caught his neck in an instant.

While she was talking with them, she was ready. During the training, Railey had taught her that it was important to seize the initiative. So, she made her move while the foreman wasn't looking.

"Back off!"

Although she looked weak and thin, she had strength. The foreman felt hard to breathe, and there was horror on his face.

"Back off!"

It was the foreman's order this time. He waved his hands at the workers. However, these men just looked at each other and sneered.

"He must get more money than us, right?" someone said.

Hearing that, Angelo knew that she couldn't threaten them with the foreman. She shook her head and knocked the foreman down.

The shows were fake, she thought. Then she ran to them. Fighting started!

Although the workers had more strength than her, they couldn't get her under control because she had specially trained anyway.

A worker who was kicked in the face looked quite terrified. He didn't expect Angelo, such a little man, to have such a strong strength.

After a while, they seemed even, and the fight was intense. But fighting with so many people was indeed an exhausting thing. So, she was a little breathless now.

Just then, a bark sounded. Angelo felt that her legs could hardly support her anymore. A look of despair appeared on her face.

"No way!"

However, the crowd stayed at first when they heard that, but then they began to laugh. Everyone knew that Angelo was afraid of dogs.

"All right. Let's take a rest now. We can deal with it after the dog came," said one worker. Then a burst of laughter came from the room.

"Dame it!" cursed Angelo but couldn't help looking outside.

Seeing that there was no dog outside, Angelo was relieved. Just then, barks of dogs sounded again.

"Help! Help!"

Seeing a dog running towards her, Angelo panicked, screamed, and fell to the ground.

She covered her head with her hands with despair full of her face. But the dog stopped three miles from her.

She was surprised but still covered her face tightly. Through the crack of her fingers, she peaked at the dog.

Seeing that, the workers laughed more loudly. Then, a sound of footsteps came, and the workers started to realize that something was wrong.

"It seems to be Drake's dog," someone said.

Soon, the crowd panicked. They looked frightened because everyone knew what Drake could do.

"Back off!"

The familiar cold voice sounded then. Lights lit up in Angelo's eyes. Seeing the dog retreating, she seemed to regain strength.

When she saw the straight figure, she was so excited that she shouted, "Drake!"

She walked quickly up to Drake and hugged him. Her eyes brimmed with joy at surviving the ordeal.

In the room, the workers were subdued by the securities brought by Drake.

Smelling the fragrance from Angelo, feeling the soft body in his c.h.e.s.t, Drake's face darkened.

He pushed Angelo away and walked into the room. Angelo then thought of Drake's eccentricity.

Looking at the back of Drake, Angelo was regretful, she hit her head and mumbled in a low voice, "You just upset him. Why did you do that again? Now you made it. He's angry again."

The captain of the security team heard her. He had a complex expression. He had been with Drake for many years and knew something about Drake's temper.

"Angelo, Drake had been like this. You don't need to worry about it. You know, he worried about you when you were missing."

"I was missing?"

Angelo was confused when she heard that. It wasn't even a half-day. Besides, Drake had left. How did he know she was missing?

"Yeah. Mr. Thorne has sent another worker to you. But later, the worker came and reported that you were missing. Mr. Thorne stopped the meeting and asked… the dogs, yeah, to search for you."

Hearing him, Angelo felt quite warm in the heart. She gave the captain a grateful smile and trotted after Drake.

The captain, however, went blushed. When he looked at the back of Angelo, there were obsessions in his eyes.

Angelo was a man, but he was more charming than any girl when he smiled, the captain thought, and his face was redder.

"Captain."

One of his colleagues called him and waved hands in front of his face. The captain then came to himself. He straightened his body and gave a serious look, "Take them back."

Here, Angelo had caught up with Drake. Looking at his angry face, she was a little bit scared.
