Chapter 776 - 101: Drake Act Weird

Angelo plucked herself up when she thought of the captain's words. She thought about it before talking to Drake, "Thanks, Drake."

"Yeah," Drake answered calmly.

That was awkward. He must still be mad at me, she thought.

With the thoughts, she decided to say something good to Drake. Anyway, he saved her.

"Drake," she started, sounding aggrieved.

"Yeah," Drake answered, puzzled, but didn't hear Angelo anymore.

By then, he found that Angelo was back behind. He frowned and turned back, only to see a pair of watery eyes, he stayed.

It worked, Angelo thought. So, she gave a more pathetic look.

Ivy's little trick did work on men, she thought, and showed a more depressing look in her eyes. She was mimicking the usual attitude Ivy had towards others.

Then curling lashes covered the watery eyes. Looking at them, Drake felt pain in his heart.

"Drake, please forgive me. Please don't be angry with me. All right? I didn't mean to make you upset,"

He heard Angelo speak in a soft voice. The fire he just suppressed flared up again. His eyes deepened. He went to Angelo and stared at "him."

Angelo felt a little guilty and wondered if this had had the opposite effect.

Suddenly, a pair of strong hands held her in the arms. She was stunned and wondered why Drake did that.

Did he forgive her? She thought, and her face started to burn.

A few minutes later, Drake was still holding her and didn't seem to let her go. Angelo was puzzled and lightly called, "Drake?"

Till then, Drake came to realize what he was doing. He suddenly loosed his hands, pushed Angelo away, and walked quickly away.

"Oh! What's wrong with him? He acted really weird recently," Angelo gasped. She rubbed her shoulders and was puzzled.

Did she upset him even more? She wondered. Thinking of Drake's reaction just now, Angelo was annoyed.

"Alas!" she sighed, thinking that Drake was indeed weird. But then she thought of the hug and couldn't help blushing.

"What's wrong with me?" Angelo mumbled, patting her burning face. There was a touch of shyness in her eyes.

She stayed there for a while and calmed herself down before going back.

When she got back, Corrine was drinking coffee in the hall. She hurried up and massaged Corrine on the shoulders. She glanced around but didn't see Drake.

"Grandma, where's Drake?" she asked, hoping to get the old lady's answer.

"He went to take a shower. He looked in a hurry. I was wondering what had happened."

Hearing that, Angelo stayed and then gave a bitter look. She wondered if Drake felt disgusting after hugging her, so he went to take a shower.

The more she thought about it, the more depressed she felt. She was quite down and thought Drake hated her so much.

As she was lost in thought, she couldn't help strengthening the massage.

"Ouch!" Corrine screamed and turned to look at Angelo.

"What's wrong with you?"

She sensed something was wrong with her two grandchildren today.

Quickly, Angelo gave a smile. Sensing the old lady was about to get mad, she promptly answered.

"Nothing, grandma. I just want to tell Drake about today."

Looking at the sunshine with a smile on her face, Corrine was concerned about her. She sighed lightly and then rubbed Angelo's head.

"You don't need to take everything. You can tell me, honey."

Tears filled in Angelo's eyes as she sensed the warmth from Corrine's hand. Quickly, she looked away, but her voice choked up, "It's all right, grandma."

Corrine cared more about her when she heard Angelo. She glanced over at this grandson, who was trying to look strong and said in a relaxing voice, "I'm old. Your business is out of my hands."

Angelo knew Corrine said that to relax the atmosphere and hurriedly denied, "Hell no. You're always young and beautiful, grandma."

Hearing that, Corrine smiled.

Just then, Drake came out while drying his wet hair with a towel and happened to see the scene.

He felt more guilty. Angelo was his brother, and he shouldn't have the dirty d.e.s.i.r.e at all!

Thinking like that, he clenched the towel with forbearance full of his eyes.

"I have something to talk to you, Drake."

Angelo said as she saw Drake coming out. She had to tell him about what she knew today.

However, Drake didn't seem to hear her.

"Hi, grandma," he greeted Corrine. Then he just went to his office.

Looking at the back disappearing from her sight, somehow, Angelo felt hurt in her heart.

Even Corrine saw something was wrong with them.

"Did you two fight each other?" she asked doubtfully.

It was the first time she saw Drake ignore others. So she was quite surprised.

"Nothing, grandma. Drake was used to talking about business in his office. I can go to the office."

With that, she fled to the office.

Looking at Angelinence back, Corrine shrugged. The kids had to deal with things themselves anyway, she thought. Then, she picked up the newspaper, put on her glasses, and started to read.

Drake might be in a bad mood, Angelo thought and hesitated. But the matter was important to the company, so she still knocked on the door.

For a few minutes, Angelo didn't hear any answer from Drake. She thought about it and finally went in.

Just then, Drake picked up the contract from the table and didn't even look at her.

"I have something important to tell you, Drake."

Seeing Drake's attitude, Angelo got angry. She knew it was her fault to hug Drake, but he also hugged her. Besides, she wanted to talk to him about business. As the chief executive officer of the company, how could he be so emotional?

The more she thought about it, the angrier she was. She grabbed the pen from Drake's hand and shouted at him, "I am talking with you about business, you know?"

The minute she finished the words, she came to realize what she had said just now. She hurriedly put the pen on the table, and her heart was filled with remorse.
