Chapter 841 - 166: I Didn’t Kill Him

In the following days, Angelo still tried to avoid meeting Drake. She seemed to be busy with the things of the Watts family, but everything was already under her control.

Only the false account was enough for the Ivy family to deal with. Besides, the Watts group was already out of money.

One day, Angelo went to the Watts house to see if there were any new files. But outside the door, she saw police cars and… ambulance!

Angelo had a bad feeling. Just as she was about to enter, several paramedics were hurrying out with a stretcher.

On it, there was McCoy.

On his face, there was some blood, which was splashed from the wound on his neck.

Angelo stayed there. She had never expected that to happen. Until the ambulance left, she suddenly recovered and entered the house.

Because of the incident, the whole family was in a mess.

Stella was crying, shaking her head among the crowd, and claiming that she didn't kill McCoy. But of those present, she was the only one with blood on her hands.

Just then, a policeman came with a sealed fruit knife, "We have checked the fingerprints on it. They were all yours."

Stella couldn't help widening her eyes and feeling her hairs stood up.

People usually felt cold when they were scared.

At this moment, Stella felt like soaking in the icy water, and she was so cold that she forgot to defend herself.

Angelo walked up and found that there was blood on Stella's hands and her clothes.

In a daze, Stella saw Angelo. She then recovered herself and jumped into Angelo's arms, "Angelo, help me!"

Holding Stella, Angelo felt that her body was stiff and shaking.

"I didn't kill him. I didn't kill him…." Stella looked at Angelo. Tears fell from her eyes.

Angelo had planned to leave Stella alone after using her. After all, she had been treating her badly in her last life.

But now, looking at her pathetic look, Angelo relented. She didn't know what happened, but she believed that Stella wouldn't kill McCoy.

From her time to chat with McCoy, she learned that Stella had never gone to him after the marriage.

Neither of them wanted to see each other until Angelo came here.

She wanted to deal with the Ivy family, so did McCoy for the dead Angela. And Stella just wished to leave here.

Thus, Stella and McCoy were in the same line. There was no reason for her to kill him. But others didn't know that. Everyone had a guess of her motive for murder.

One policeman walked to Angelo and said seriously, "What's the relationship between you and Miss Hill? She's involved in an attempted murder. So, we need to take her back. Please cooperate."

"Yeah. I'm her friend. Can I talk to her for a second?" Angelo looked at Stella. If someone set her up, she had nowhere to hide, and going to the police station was the safest move.

"I believe you. Please believe me, all right? I'll find everything out and get you out."

Angelo fondled Stella's head and tried to calm her down, but her tears kept falling.

"Don't cry. Tell the police what had happened. Everything will be clear when McCoy woke up. Understand?"

Angelo worried that Stella couldn't explain things clearly but made it worse because of her fear and worry. Then there might be no way to save her.

Stella seemed to hear Angelo. She nodded lightly, let go of Angelo, and stood straight.

She shouldn't be afraid of what she didn't do.

Seeing Stella getting in the police car, Angelo turned and glanced around. It was a big thing that McCoy was almost killed, but none of the masters were home except for the maids.

Angelo walked to a nanny who stayed the longest in this house and asked, "Tell me what happened."

The nanny was startled. There were several people in front of her, she didn't expect that Angelo would walk past them and come to ask her. So, she started to get nervous.

The nanny hesitated, didn't know how to answer Angelo.

When Angelo lived here in her last life, she had been afraid of her. This woman was already working at this house when she was adopted by the Watts couple. After spending so many years in a house, Angelo knew her well.

She cooked best. Ivy loved her cooking the most, which was why she stayed here for so many years.

She was weak but kind-hearted. Once Angelo sent McCoy food, which happened to be seen by her, but she said nothing. And since then, there was always one more plate of food in the kitchen. Angelo knew that it was saved for McCoy by the nanny.

Angelo didn't have a good impression of the Watts house, and she just wanted to ruin it. But she had been grateful for this nanny.

Angelo softened her eyes but still looked serious. "Don't be nervous. I just want to know what happened today."

McCoy had never come to the villa side. Even during the holidays and Christmas, he was alone in the little house in the backyard.

But from the blood in the living room, Angelo guessed that McCoy must be attacked here.

Why did he come to the villa?

That was a puzzle for Angelo.

Rachel and Ivy had been hating McCoy, and she didn't think he would come to them for shame.

When the nanny saw Angelo's polite attitude, she was relieved a bit.

"Mr. Watts asked McCoy to have breakfast here. While eating, Mr. Parker got a call from the company and left. Then Mrs. Watts and Miss Ivy went for facials. So, only Mr. McCoy and Miss Stella here…" described the nanny slowly.

Angelo was more certain that Stella was framed for today's incident. And the people who planned it must be the Ivy family.

For more than twenty years, McCoy had never been here. But suddenly, he was asked to eat here, and neither Rachel nor Ivy was against it. So, there must be a plot.

"Then?"

"Then…"
