Chapter 72 - 72: We Start on our Next Quest!

"Your welcome bud! Now, for the arrows. I decided to make the shafts myself, since wood can break easily. These have a five time use, after that they will break. So don't use them all so quickly alright?" He asked me.

"Sure thing! I won't use them that often!" I told him.

"Now, Arialle. Did you try the throwing knives and stars?" He asked.

"Yes I did, the problem is I like both of them. They have their ups and downs, but they can be used for so many things." She answered.

"Indeed they can, that is why I went ahead and crafted you 30 of each set. So now you will have both throwing knives and throwing stars." He commented.

"Thank you!" Arialle exclaimed.

We took our stuff, and put it all into our rings, except Dj. I ended up putting his into my ring too.

"Do we owe you anything?" I asked him.

"Nope!" He commented.

"What about the extra arrows you crafted me? You told me you were only willing to give me ten of them, except there are 20 of them now." I asked.

"Well, I decided that you're a great kid and you're very passionate about being a hunter. So I figured I would give you double the amount." He told me.

"Wow, thank you again for this!" I told him.

"Now, I wanted to let you guys know that I'll be gone for two months trying to help my brother. So if you need anything, just come over to Iron Rock City. Alright?" He asked us.

"Will do!" Dj commented.

"Alright!" I mentioned.

"Ok!" Arialle answered.

"Alright, now I have to get back to work. Currently crafting some items we will need for once we get there." He told us, then waved at us while he walked back towards his forge.

We waved to him, then left his shop. We decided to grab a bite to eat before we went back home to gear up for tonight. Once we got our food from a stall near the marketplace, we walked back towards Arialle's place.

"Alright, we will only be gone until tomorrow, so we don't have to carry as much stuff as before, but I would still like to grab a bigger tent if possible, do you know where we can buy one? If not that is fine, we can just have one person up for watch." I asked.

"I mean, I think our tent is big enough. As long as you don't mind sharing a sleeping bag." Arialle commented.

"I don't mind." Dj mentioned.

"Me neither. Alright then, all we need to grab is our gear. Would you like to take Tyson with us? Since this is only to the prairie. It should be pretty safe for him since we won't be fighting." I asked Arialle.

"Hmm. . Sure, it will be good for him to get outside of the house more often. As long as Orion and Onyx protect him, I think we should be good." Arialle commented.

{{We will protect him!}} Orion and Onyx both said in my head.

"Haha. . . They said they will protect him." I told her.

"Haha. . ." She just laughed.

At that moment I just stopped, and I looked around to figure out who it was. It was a completely different voice then Orion's and Onyx's. They also ended up stopping, and started growling.

"What's wrong Arthrall" Dj then asked me.

"Someone just talked in my head, but it wasn't Orion or Onyx." I answered while still looking around.

The same voice kept saying Dad towards me, but I couldn't figure out who it was. When I was looking around I noticed that Blue wasn't on my shoulder anymore.

"Blue! Where are you?" I yelled.

{{Dad! Dad! Dad!}}

{{Arthrall, look above you!}} Orion yelled.

At that point I was starting to freak out, when I looked up I saw something flying above us in a circle. The creature started flying down towards us. That is when I realized it was Blue.

"Blue! You can fly now! That is great!" I exclaimed while jumping in the air.

"Wow, he can finally fly!" Dj commented.

"He is beautiful!" Arialle mentioned.

"He really is! Now come back down here you little turd!" I yelled up at him.

"Woah! Don't land on me yet bud! Not until I have my shoulderguards on! That will freaking hurt!" I exclaimed, as I noticed that his talons had gotten quite a bit bigger than what they were beforehand.

"It's ok bud, just fly low with us alright?" I commented.

I saw Blue nod his head towards me, so once I saw that, I decided to resume my trip towards Arialle's house. Once there, we went inside, and started getting our gear on. It took me about ten minutes to get all of my stuff on, then I went out of my room towards the front door. Once there I called out to Blue, and he flew straight towards my shoulders. This time I didn't move out of the way, and he landed onto my shoulders with quite a bit of force. It actually pushed me back a little bit to where I almost fell backwards.

{{Sorry! Sorry!}} Blue said.

"It's ok bud, we just gotta work on that. We can do that once we leave town alright?" I asked him.

He just nodded his head like before. I have a feeling he will be able to talk more once he gets a little bit bigger, and levels up. I walked back towards my room, and started equipping Orion and Onyx in their gear. I put on Orion's ċhėst piece first, then I took the sleeves out of my ring. I decided to inspect them before putting them on.

I slowly put them on, and they actually adhered around his wing bones. He was also able to move his wings up and down like before, but they weren't as fast.

"That must be the decrease in his Agility. . . How do they feel?" I asked Orion.

{{They feel weird honestly, but they also feel very strong. . .}} Orion commented.

"Haha. . . You two. . ."

This time, I took out Onyx's claws to check them out.

"Wow. . ."

That was literally all I could say at that point. They were quite powerful. I started to put them onto Onyx, but it took me about 20 minutes to put them on. I had to individually put each claw into the weapon, then I had to wrap the leather piece around his ankles.

"Finally. . . That took forever. . . How do they feel" I asked Onyx.

{{They feel great! I feel like I can take on anything!}} Onyx exclaimed.

{{They look pretty terrifying honestly.}} Orion chimed in.

"Haha. . ."

After I got them all hooked up, I walked out of the room, and back towards the living room. I saw Dj sitting there, with Arialle explaining some stuff to him. After they saw me, they got up to start heading out, but once they saw Orion and Onyx, they were quite surprised.

"Wow. . . Those look great on you two!" Arialle exclaimed while bending down to pet both of them.

"Indeed they do. Heck I would hate to be on the receiving end of those two." Dj commented.

"Haha. . ." All I did was laugh, and Orion and Onyx just bowed their heads towards them.

"Well, we are ready to go. Tyson is also ready. He has a little harness on him to at least protect him a little bit." Arialle commented.

I looked down at Tyson, and he was growling at Orion and Onyx like he was showing how powerful he was. It was honestly quite cute. I bent down and patted him on the head.

"Well, if you guys are set. Then let's head on out of here!" I told them

They nodded their heads, and walked out of the house. After Arialle locked the door, we headed straight for the gate. It took us about 20 minutes to reach the gate, and we walked right on out and waved goodbye to the guards. After walking for a bit, I decided to have Blue try his taking off and landing on my shoulder. It started hurting after a little bit, so I had him start doing it on the other shoulder. After about an hour long walk, he was able to land and take off without much damage to me. We also saw our first slime.
