Chapter 74 - 74: The next morning. . .

"Arthrall. . ."

"Arthrall time to get up." Arialle kepted shaking my arm in order to wake me up.

"I'm up. . . I'm up. . ." I commented before I yawned. Then I grabbed my ċhėst piece/shoulderguards, and put them on.

"Alright, I'm heading to bed then." She commented while waiting for me to get up.

While slowly getting out of the sleeping bag, I looked over to my right, and saw Blue still sleeping soundly. "I guess he is still pretty tired. . . Did Orion or Onyx get any sleep?" I decided to ask her the moment I stepped out of the tent.

"No, they stayed up and kept a watch on the forest. I told them to go to bed, but they just shook their heads. So they went and laid down just a little bit ago next to the fire." She told me.

"Alright, just make sure to be careful around Blue. He is still sound asleep in there." I told her while scratching the back of my head.

"Will do. . . I'm heading in now!" She commented while walking into the tent.

After she went into the tent, I walked near the fire to check on Orion and Onyx. Once I got over there, I noticed Tyson was out here too. Even though Arialle had put him into the tent earlier, he must have come back out after I went to sleep. I patted his head, and he just snored loudly after that. It was quite funny in my opinion. I walked around, and checked on Orion and Onyx. They seemed alright, so I just patted their heads too. They didn't make a sound, but they did relax a little bit. I decided to look around the camp before I sat down near the fire.

{Hey Zoe, you up?}

[You know I can't sleep, but I'm happy that you were wondering.]

{Haha. . . Yeah I know, but I still wanted to ask. Can you make it to where we talk in real time? Like you did earlier so time went by faster.}

[Already done.]

[Hey, before you do that. You might want to pay attention to the outside. It is starting to get light out.]

{Already!?}

[Yep. . .]

{Well fuċk. . . I guess I'll wait to take a look at the store till later then.}

After she told me that, I went around the camp and picked up some sticks. I needed to make the fire bigger since the fire almost went out. After grabbing the sticks, I put them on the fire. So when I get ready to cook, the fire will also be ready. I took some meat and vegetables out of my inventory and ring. I also took a cutting board, knives, pots, and pans out of my ring. I started to cut the vegetables up into chunks, then threw them into the pot that I brought out. I then took the meat, and cut it up into chunks too. I took and put the pan on the fire in order to get it hot for when I started to cook the meat. Once the pan was hot, I put the meat on it, and started cooking the outside of it. Once the meat was cooked on just the outside. I took the pan off, then put the pot onto it. I also took out the water bottles we got from my ring. I poured the water into the pot, so that way the water would start boiling. I realized I had forgotten the spices. I took the spices out, and started putting some into the pot to help season the meal I was making. While doing all of this, I heard a rustling behind me. I turned to look to see Dj coming out of the tent, with Blue on his shoulder. The moment Blue saw me, it jumped off Dj and flew straight towards me.

"Hey Blue! Did you sleep well?"

{Yes! Yes!}

"Haha. . . Good! Hey Dj, how are your arms?" I asked him while I was just putting the meat into the pot.

"They hurt. . ." Was all he managed to say. He was trying to stretch his arms out, but it was hurting him a little bit.

"Haha. . . Yeah, they will be sore for a little bit." I told him.

"What are you making?" He asked while walking over towards the pot.

"Just a morning stew. It should be done in about an hour, maybe a little sooner." I told him. I then started stirring the pot to get the meat completely soaked.

"Awesome! I'll be right back, going to go get my ċhėst piece. I'll need a little help putting it on today since my arms are hurting." He commented, then he ran back towards the tent to grab his ċhėst piece.

While he was doing that, I looked over towards Orion, Onyx, and Tyson. They were still out like a light, but Tyson was moving more. He will probably be awake in about 20 minutes or so. I just smirked at that. It was kind of cute seeing him move around like that. When I went to look back over towards Dj, I noticed him walking back with his ċhėst piece. Once he was next to me, I got up to help him put it on. Sadly though, he had issues getting his arms through the ċhėst piece. It took us maybe about 10 minutes to get his arms through it. After that, it went pretty easily actually. I helped him hook the ċhėst straps to the sides of him, and he was done after that. We sat back down, but he stayed quiet the entire time. He was just staring out at the clearing around us. There were a few slimes jumping up and down over to the right side of us, but other than that, there wasn't much going on.

"Hey, can you go wake Arialle up? It is almost time for the food to be ready." I asked him while stirring the pot.

"Sure thing!" He commented.

After he got up, I went over to Orion and Onyx to wake them up. I noticed Tyson had woken up a few minutes ago, so I didn't plan on doing anything with him yet. I shook both Orion and Onyx until they both woke up. They just shook their heads at that point, but I knew they were both up. I walked back over to the pot, and started stirring it again. The stew was almost ready, so I thought about some rice, but sadly we didn't have any rice to go with the stew. Arialle and Dj both came over to the camp fire at this point.

"Hey Arthrall. . . It smells good. . ." Arialle commented while yawning and bȧrėly having her eyes opened.

"Yeah it does, I just wish I had some rice to go with it. . ." I told her.

"Is it ready yet?" Dj asked.

"Yep!" I told him.

After telling him that, I took out the bowls and spoons and started putting the stew into them. I took and handed Dj his first, since I figured he would be hungrier than us. I then took and filled Arialle's bowl and filled my bowl last. I handed her bowl over, and took mine. I also then threw some fresh meat over to Orion, Onyx, and Tyson. I started devouring mine like usual, same with Dj. It was honestly quite refreshing to see him eating that quickly. He ended up wanting seconds after he was done with that bowl. So I ended up giving him more.
