Chapter 75 - 75: Grabbing More Quests!

After feeding everybody, I decided to take a look at Blue's stats.

{Honestly, I believe so. . . Due to them just fighting slimes for now. . .}

[Alright.]

"Hey Arialle, has Tyson leveled up?" I decided to ask while patting Blue's little head.

"He has actually. He is now level 3." She commented while scratching Tyson's belly.

"Do you think he will get bigger then puppy size?" I asked.

"I'm not sure to be honest." She answered.

"Now what about you DJ? How much have you leveled?" I asked him.

"I'm also level 3. Is it this easy to always level up?" He then asked.

"Haha. . . No it's not. . ." Arialle answered.

"I mean. . . For me it has been. . . I just know I'll be running into a snag here pretty soon on the leveling. I have a feeling it will get harder for me. . ." I commented.

"Oh. . . Ok. . . Well, I'm ready to go and kill more slimes. You two little guys ready?" Dj asked Blue and Tyson.

"Ka'kaw!" Blue answered him.

"Ruff ruff!" Tyson barked.

"Alright, see you guys later! We only have to kill eight more of them. Shouldn't take us too long!" Dj commented while walking away from us.

Blue flew to Dj's shoulder, and Tyson started running around his feet. I could see them having fun today.

"You want to get the stuff together, and follow them?" Arialle asked.

"Sure, Orion and Onyx. Do the same thing as yesterday. Keep an eye on them." I told both of them.

They nodded their heads, then went directly towards Dj and them.

I went around, and started gathering up our supplies that we had used earlier. Sadly I didn't have enough water to rinse off the utensils that I had used. I'll ask Arialle about a stream later before lunch. After I was done picking up the utensils we had used, I went towards the tent to help her take it down. She already had our sleeping bags, and was in the process of taking one side of the tent down. When we were done with that, we took and put everything into our rings.

"How long do you think it will take them to kill everything?" Arialle asked me while standing up.

"Hmm. . . Probably at most two hours." I told her while looking in the direction they had gone.

"Ok, why don't we go follow them." She then commented.

"Let's go then!" I answered.

We started walking in the direction that Dj had gone. It took us maybe 20 minutes to finally see them. Dj was currently tanking two slimes at once, and Tyson was doing his usual of just biting the slimes. Blue was attacking them with his claws like yesterday.

{How many have they killed so far?}

{{This will be their 3rd slime. It took them a moment to find them, but once they did, it didn't take them too long to start fighting them.}} Orion commented.

{Where are you two at anyways?}

{{Over here to your right.}} Orion commented.

I took a glance over towards the right side of me, and I happened to see Orion's head pop up and look over towards me. I nodded my head, and turned to watch Dj kill the third slime he was fighting. After that, we just followed Orion and Onyx until Dj finished his quest. It took them maybe an hour and a half to finish the quest completely. After they were done, they walked back towards us.

"You guys done then?" Arialle asked.

"Yep! Just finished it up actually!" Dj commented.

"Alright, then let's head back towards town. It will probably take us about three hours to get back there." I told them.

"Welcome back!" The guard exclaimed.

"Hey! We are back from his quest!" I told him.

"Oh yeah? How did you like your very first quests?" The guard asked Dj.

"Very tiring. . . It was fun though!" He told the guard.

"That is great! Well you guys can go in!" The guard commented.

"Thanks." All three of us answered.

After that, we walked directly towards the Adventurer's Guild. It took us a little bit of time to get there, due to us being hungry. We bought three sandwiches for us. I also bought some fish from the market. I gave Orion and Onyx some meat from my ring, and I gave the fish to Blue. He was able to eat the entire fish this time without me having to cut it up. After we ate, we walked into the Guild, and went directly towards Faylin.

"Hey Faylin!" I said to her.

"Hey guys! Welcome back! How was your very first quest Dj?" She then asked him.

"Tiring. . . The first night I was bȧrėly conscious to eat anything. . ." Dj commented.

"Haha! I can understand that. Hand over your ring! Let me check the video!" She commented.

Dj handed over his ring, and the usual happened. Faylin took a look at the ring, then gave it back to him after completing his quest. She also gave him 20 Silver Coins.

"There you go! Now you guys can go back to the board, and grab more quests if you like!" She told us.

"Alright! Thanks Faylin!" Arialle commented.

"Let's head over to the quests. I want to see what all three of us can do." I told them.

We walked over to the board, and I took a look at the quests I was able to do. I saw a lot of different ones from, gathering, killing mobs, farming, exploring, and escorting.

"Do you see any that seem interesting?" Arialle asked me.

"Hmm. . . The exploring and the killing mobs seems interesting to me. The escorting seems really boring. . . The farming one seems to also be good. I think I'll grab three different ones this time. Gathering, killing mobs, and exploring. Let me take a closer look at them." I told her.

I took a look at the gathering ones first.

[Gather 50 Poppy Seed Plant]

[The quest giver would like you to go to the Slime Plains to gather up the Poppy Seed Plant found near the river.]

[Gather Beast Bones]

[The quest giver would like you to gather 50 pairs of femur bones from Beasts that you kill.]

[Gather Beast Pelts]

[The quest giver would like you to gather 30 Beast Pelts from beasts that you kill.]

"Hmm. . . I might actually grab two from the gathering portion. Let me take a look at the Killing Mobs quests." I commented.

[Kill 40 Valley Lions]

[The quest giver would like you to go to the Western Valley, and kill the Valley Lions there. You can keep the lions, but the quest giver would like you to bring the tooth of each lion to show proof.]

[Kill the Valley King]

[There have been reports of a beast that has been terrorizing the Western Valley. We do believe it is the Valley King. Please be warned, the Valley King is a dangerous beast to face. Talk to Philip for further details!]

While taking a look at them, I decided to also take a look at the exploring quests.

[Explore the Caves in the Western Valley]

[The Adventurer's Guild would like someone to fully explore the cave system in the Western Valley. There are currently five cave systems in the Western Valley that the Guild knows about. They would like you to explore those caves. If you find any others, please explore them too! Ask Philip for further details.]

"Well that is convenient. . . There are five quests that fit around each other. We can do them all in the Western Valley I guess. There are others, like exploring a marsh, killing goblins, and gathering some different plants. What do you guys think of going to the Western Valley?" I asked.

"Hmm. . . That valley is kind of hard, but I believe we can do it. Go ahead and grab them. We should be able to do them together." Arialle commented.

"Uh. . . Am I even able to do something like that?" Dj asked.

"Not sure. . . Did you find anything that seems good for you?" I asked.

"Yes, I found two of them. Like yours, I have to kill 20 beasts, and the other I have to also gather pelts." Dj answered.

"Well, we can also do that in the valley. Just gotta make sure you bring quite a few potions with you. Alright, let's grab the quests, and go talk to Faylin and Philip about them. . . Araille, did you see any you would like to do?" I asked her.

"Well, I can grab the same type as Dj, just mine are bigger. Kill 60 beasts, and gather 40 pelts." She answered.

"Alright, grab those, and I'll grab mine. Let's then head over to them to figure out everything for these quests." I told them.

We grabbed our quests, then walked directly back towards Faylin.
