Chapter 86 - 86: Our first troubles!

We walked up to the entrance to the valley very quietly, until we could see the beasts themselves. They were actually about the same size as male lions back from my world, but they had two tails instead.

'Wait. . .'

[Arthrall: Are these male or female lions?]

I looked over towards Arialle and Dj to see if they noticed the message or not. Dj looked over towards me, then looked at the lions with a confused look on his face too.

[Dj: I honestly have no idea. . .]

I looked over to Arialle, but at that point she disappeared.

[Arialle: They are females.]

[Arthrall: SERIOUSLY?!]

[Dj: They are as big as male lions back from our world then!]

[Arialle: . . . Then you guys won't like the size of the Valley King then. . . Do you remember the wolf we faced back in Iron Rock City Arthrall?]

[Arthrall: Yeah?]

[Arialle: Well needless to say, he is about the same size, if not bigger. I went back the next day while you guys were still asleep, and I asked Phillip what size the lion was.]

[Dj: . . .]

[Arthrall: . . . Nevermind about their size for now. We need to make sure we are prepared for the lionesses right in front of us first. Remember what Phillip told us, they attack in pairs, but since these two pairs are so close to each other, then they will both attack us.]

[Arthrall: Hold up. . . Let's head back real quick, I forgot to hand out the potions!]

I looked over towards Dj since I can't physically see Arialle right now, and he basically almost hit his forehead due to me forgetting something so important.

We crept back the same direction we came from, until we were far enough away for the lionesses not to see or hear us.

"You dumbass. . ." Dj commented finally.

"I know. . . I'm sorry for forgetting about this. Where is Arialle?" I asked him.

"No idea, she went stealth the momen--" Dj started off, but when he got part way through that last word, I noticed Arialle pop up from behind him.

"Boo!" Arialle exclaimed.

"FUCK!!!!" Dj shouted.

"Dude! Quiet! We don't want the lionesses to come out after us now do we?" I exclaimed towards him. I then looked over towards Arialle with a scowl. "Was that necessary?"

"Sorry. . ." The both commented with their heads hung low.

I looked over in the direction the valley entrance was, but at that moment I saw something move.

I didn't even notice who said that, but I instantly ducked and rolled away. The moment I moved, a giant clawed paw came down and crashed into the ground. It left a small crater in the ground, but what scared me was the fact I didn't notice it till it was almost too late.

"Move!" I yelled at them.

Dj brought his shield up in time for it to be swatted into him. The moment the lioness hit him, he got pushed back about 5 feet from just the force of the attack.

"Fuck!" He exclaimed while shaking from the impact.

Luckily Arialle wasn't targeted at that point, but she still moved a good distance away from them.

"Be careful. . ." Arialle muttered quietly.

I finally looked at the beasts, and they were quite big. They indeed stood at my ċhėst area with ease, but what freaked me out was the fact their paws were a lot bigger than my head. I decided to inspect one of them to see what they were exactly.

Health -- 500/500

Stamina -- 130/150

Strength -- 60

Dexterity -- 80

Constitution -- 40

Intelligence -- 10

Skills -- 2

Active Skill -- Predator Swipe

'How in the fuċk could I not see them. . . I have a higher Dexterity than them. . .'

[They have a higher Natural Dexterity to you. Yours might be higher, but your Natural Dexterity is a lot lower than theirs.]

'Forgot you can still hear me Zoe. Anyways, thanks for the info. That really helps!'

[No problem.]

At this point, Orion decided to use his Wind Blade attack on one of them, but the problem is the lioness moved out of the way the moment he attacked.

"Dj! Onyx! Grab aggro now! We can't hit them if they keep moving out of the way!" I yelled at them.

Dj ran towards them, and used a taunting ability he's got. Sadly I don't know what it is, I really need to inspect him to figure out what abilities he's got. Onyx also ran forward and started just attacking the lioness. It didn't do much, but irritated her instead.

"Everyone, attack the one Dj's got aggroed. Onyx, make sure to not get hit by her!" I told them.

I took out my bow, and started blasting the lioness with my arrows. Orion, Blue, and Tyson started trying to attack her, but some of their attacks kept missing. Arialle went stealth, then she popped up right behind the lioness. Luckily there were quite a few of us attacking, or else it would have taken us too long to kill her.

"GRRR!!!!"

I heard that, and looked over to see Onyx have a huge gash on his side. It was bleeding profusely.

"Fuck! Dj taunt the other lioness! I need to heal Onyx!" I yelled at him.

The moment I said that, he looked over to see what the lioness did to Onyx. He yelled then, threw his mace at the lioness. It went straight towards her head just in time for her to look over towards him. It hit her directly on the mouth. The lioness then roared, and charged towards Dj. While Dj had her distracted, I bolted right towards Onyx while grabbing out a big Health Potion out of my inventory. I uncorked it, and slid over to Onyx. He was currently breathing really hard, with a wild look on his face, but the moment he saw me, he calmed down a little bit. I motioned for him to open his mouth, then poured the Health Potion down his throat. While doing this, I took a look at his wound, and it started to visibly heal up. After the potion was done, I set it down and turned to look at the lioness that wounded him. It was currently trying to tear through Dj's shield while the other lioness was about to die. Arialle used an ability that instantly cut the lionesses throat. That lioness was dead, there was no stopping the bleeding from the neck wound. I took five arrows and got my ability ready.

"MULTI-BARRAGE! DIE BITCH!" I yelled at her.

The shots then went straight towards the back of her head, and they all impaled her in the same spot. One arrow actually went all the way through, and lodged itself into Dj's shield with an eyeball hooked to it.

"Put them into your inventory now! We need to run away from here!" I told them.

I went over towards Onyx, and picked him up. I turned to look over towards the others, and I noticed the lionesses disappear into Arialle's and Dj's rings. I motioned them to follow me, and I booked it away from there.

{Orion and Blue. Fly up and keep a lookout on the valley. Let me know if they give chase or not!}

{{Got it!}} They both commented.

We kept running until it started getting night time out. Luckily I only had to carry Onyx for about an hour longer, then he ran with us until it started getting darker outside.
