After an hour or two of Lady Melissa's lessons, she was given some time to eat her lunch, and in that certain period of time Lady Melissa decided that she would call out her friend who'd do the favour for her.

"Hopefully, he picks up."

Lady Melissa mumbled to herself, walking to the telephone in her desk after her teacher had left her room.

"000-342-592." (please keep in mind that this is a phone number that I made up! So don't call this number)

Lady Melissa said, talking to herself, dialling his home number and hoping that he would pick up the telephone.

"Brr, brrr, brr."

Lady Melissa's side of the telephone said, indicating that the call had already reached his home, and all he needed to do was pick up for the ringing to stop.

After a few more rings, eventually, he had picked up.

"Hello?"

The man said, picking up his telephone that had been ringing for the past five minutes, which he had been showering the whole time, not hearing the telephone ringing.

"Hi, Kev, it's me; how are you?"

Lady Melissa said, greeting her friend, Baron Kevin Hagen Denmark, who she had been a friend with for quite some time in her teenage years before he had moved and they had lost all contact; but a few years after Lady Melissa found him, and they reconnected, every now and then they would meet up.

"Ah, if it isn't my favourite person, Melissa!"

Baron Kevin said, happy to hear from his dear friend; it had been some time since they talked.

"Want to meet up later?"

Lady Melissa said, immediately shooting her shot and going to discuss with Kevin about the murder later.

"Sure, Melissa, just tell me the time, and I'll try to fit in the schedule."

Baron Kevin said, laughing.

"Alright then, is 3-4 pm alright for you, Kev at your estate?"

Lady Melissa asked, knowing that she'd have to switch with Victoria for that to work.

"Sure."

Baron Kevin quickly replied.

"If you'll excuse me, though, I have to go now; the papers aren't going to do themselves."

Baron Kevin joked, earning a little laugh from Lady Melissa.

"Alright then, see ya later, Kev!"

Lady Melissa said, hearing a goodbye from Baron Kevin from the other line, smiling to herself; in her previous life, she had grown apart from Baron Kevin after he had tried to bring her to face reality; that the Crown Prince was using her.

Yet she wouldn't accept it; she had been too blinded by love; when all Baron Kevin had been trying to do was help her, yet she simply couldn't bring herself to accept it.

Thus they grew apart, a sad smile on Lady Melissa's face, vividly remembering the last day she talked to Baron Kevin; it had ended in an argument, a very heated one.

That Baron Kevin no longer wanted to associate himself with Lady Melissa or the Shayla estate, and Lady Melissa did the same, never associating with him either.

If she could take back the hurtful things she had said to Baron Kevin that day, she would. If Lady Melissa could somehow time travel back and just tell him that he was right; and she was wrong, she would love to.

If only the world were that simple; if only whatever we wanted would come true, then maybe none of this would have happened.

'I'm overthinking again.'

Lady Melissa thought, letting out a heavy sigh; she regretted so many things that she had done in her past life, wanting to fix every single mistake of hers.

Yet, at the same time, she was grateful for every mistake; it had helped her to learn, grow and develop as a person.

If Lady Melissa had never made any mistakes, she wouldn't be able to feel the different emotions she'd experience after all her mistakes.

She wouldn't be living this second life right now, and she wouldn't be as grateful as she was now to still have her parents currently with her.

'Oh, that reminds me, I haven't talked to Victoria today at all.'

Lady Melissa thought, deciding to start a conversation with Victoria.

"Victoria, hello? Are you there?"

Lady Melissa asked.

"Yes, Melissa?"

Victoria responded after several seconds.

"Are you okay?"

Lady Melissa asked, genuinely concerned about Victoria.

"Don't worry about me, Melissa; I'm alright."

Victoria said, trying to ease Lady Melissa's worries.

"I just realised that I haven't been using your proper title all this time when I was addressing you."

Victoria just noticed, unintentionally greeting Lady Melissa without using her proper title the whole time she talked to her.

"Sorry, Lady Melissa."

Victoria said, finally addressing Lady Melissa using her proper title while apologising to Lady Melissa for her mistake.

"Well, it's not much of a big deal, though, since now you're already using my proper title; besides, you acknowledge your mistake and apologise, so it's fine."

Lady Melissa telepathically said, trying to assure Victoria that it was fine.

"Speaking of which, Victoria, did you die in the Whitechapel district?"

Lady Melissa asked.

"Actually, yes...I was brutally stabbed a couple of times in the Whitechapel district on my way home after my shift had ended, and suddenly the man he...took out a knife and just stabbed me."

Victoria said, her tone sounding nervous while trying to keep herself calm and composed, not wanting to worry Lady Melissa at all.

"Could you give me an estimation of the number of times you were stabbed?"

Lady Melissa asked.

"I think around 10-11 times before I died, though when I died, I could still feel the sensation of getting stabbed, so I'm pretty sure the man continued to stab me after I died."

Victoria said, her tone sounding almost 100 percent sure that the man had continued stabbing her even after she had died.

"Alright then, last question Victoria….Does your full name happen to be…Victoria Tabram?"

Lady Melissa asked, hoping that Victoria would say yes, as it would make everything much more simple.

"Yes, you're right, Lady Melissa; my full name is Victoria Tabram."

Victoria confidently replied.
