Lady Melissa couldn't believe it, not when her body was still hurting even though the flames weren't there on her body anymore.
Lady Melissa stood up, and stood in front of her mirror, afraid that she would see her dead corpse staring right back at her instead of her reflection.
Lady Melissa closed her eyes, slowly opening them, and luckily for her, it was just her reflection staring right back at her.
Nothing else, just her reflection.
Lady Melissa let out a sigh of relief, although she still couldn't believe the whole thing was a nightmare, she was grateful to know that it was actually a nightmare, and that she wasn't dead.
Lady Melissa made a mental note to herself to never drink cold milk again, or milk at all for that matter.
Just when she had stopped dreaming about the brunette-haired woman, the brunette-haired woman just had to appear in her nightmares again.
Lady Melissa took a deep breath, still shaken up from the nightmare she just had.
'Take a deep breath Melissa, you can do this. It's just a nightmare, don't worry about it.'
Lady Melissa said to herself, trying to comfort herself since even though she was given proof it was just a dream, she still felt as if everything that had happened was real.
Lady Melissa took a few deep breaths, calling one of the maids to get her some chamomile tea to soothe her down.
The maid quickly went into the kitchen to carry out her orders.
Not long after, the maid emerged as she knocked on the door, asking if she was allowed inside as she patiently waited for Lady Melissa's response.
"Come in!"
Lady Melissa shouted as she sat on her desk, awaiting for the maid to arrive in her room with the chamomile tea.
The maid quickly and carefully opened the door, making sure not to stop the teapot and the glass she had brought for the tea to Lady Melissa.
The maid soon left after placing the teapot and glass on Lady Melissa's desk, making sure to bow to Lady Melissa before leaving.
Lady Melissa took another deep breath as she took her glass filled with the chamomile tea from the teapot that the maid had earlier poured.
Lady Melissa took a few sips of the tea, already starting to feel as if her heartbeat was already starting to slow down.
Lady Melissa felt comforted from the fragrant smell of the chamomile tea, for some reason chamomile tea had always been her favourite tea out of all of them.
Perhaps it was because of the soothing effects it had on her after she drank it, or perhaps because of its aroma that made her calm down whenever she smelt it.
Or maybe because of how the tea tasted, whatever the reason was, chamomile tea would always make her feel better after the worst days of her life happening.
It was something that had stuck with her ever since her past life, when she had bad days or anything she would always drink chamomile tea.
Her mother, the duchess, had asked Lady Melissa to try it. At first Lady Melissa thought she wouldn't like it so she wasn't expecting much when she tried it.
However, her expectations were completely shattered, luckily it was in a good way. Ever since then Lady Melissa drank chamomile tea whenever she had a bad day.
It had become a daily part of her life, and an essential one at that. She always made sure that she had chamomile tea, just in case she needed it.
Lady Melissa had finished calming down as she decided it was best for her to get some food. She couldn't exactly start the day with an empty stomach.
Lady Melissa came down the stairs, patiently waiting for her parents to arrive at the dinner table who had not arrived there yet.
As a minute passed, it soon became thirty minutes, Lady Melissa, however kept waiting for her parents. She had wanted to eat breakfast with them.
Soon, an hour had passed and Lady Melissa was starting to become hungry. She couldn't stand it anymore and wondered what her parents were doing.
'Should I go to their room and check on them? I wonder why they're taking so long, this hasn't happened before. Maybe they're just busy with work?'
Lady Melissa wondered for a few seconds, before deciding she would just check on them. Besides, it wouldn't hurt right?
Lady
Lady Melissa started going up the stairs, planning to go into her parent's room and asking why they hadn't come down this entire time.
Lady Melissa knocked once, no answer. She knocked once more, and there was no more answer yet again. Lady Melissa knocked one last time but there was no answer either.
Lady Melissa started to get worried, what if something had happened to her parents without her knowing?
What if they had been kidnapped or something and held hostage?
Endless possibilities roamed through Lady Melissa's head wondering what to do.
It may seem a tad bit dramatic for Lady Melissa to think of such a thing, but her parents were head of the Shayla estate.
One of the five founding families, so her assumptions weren't too crazy or anything.
Lady Melissa decided to open the door, wondering that maybe her parents weren't even in there in the first place.
Lady Melissa opened the door, however, she did not expect to see her parents cuddling on the bed, passed out.
She skimmed her eyes through their room, before pausing at their desk, filled with paperwork and messy papers scattered all over the desk.
'I should probably let them sleep, they've had a long day yesterday and I'm sure they'd like to sleep more. I can eat with them another day.'
Lady Melissa thought, thinking that her parents had been working hard yesterday and feeling bad if she woke them up right now so she could just eat with them.
They needed sleep, and besides she could always eat breakfast with them next time.
