Lady Melissa went back to the dinner table, as a maid approached her and asked Lady Melissa for her breakfast.
To which Lady Melissa bluntly replied to the maid that she would like to have some salad and lettuce, due to the fact that she realized she needed to be slimmer to be faster in swordsmanship.
She was at an average weight, but her waist was too big. Definitely too big for a noble lady, it was supposed to be much smaller. However, her parents had kept spoiling her with food ever since she had gotten here, leading her to get more fat.
Lady Melissa needed to burn off the fat as well, she had been doing her swordsmanship practices since the beginning yet for some reason they didn't have an effect on her, though she'll deal with that problem later on.
Soon after the salad arrived, and although Lady Melissa disliked vegetables, she wasn't given that much of a choice, especially considering the fact that she needed to somehow make her waist slimmer.
This was one of the ways to slim her waist, so she did this.
Lady Melissa smiled painstakingly, dramatically suffering from eating the salad, it wasn't the best thing she's eaten. Though it wasn't the worst either, she was just being very dramatic, not being able to imagine eating salad for days, continuously.
'Maybe I should start eating more vegetables, and go on a diet. I have been gaining some weight these days and I'm sure someone in society will notice if my stomach gets bigger the next time I go to a tea party or perhaps a ball.'
Lady Melissa thought, as she looked down, staring at her belly, realizing that she had been gaining some weight the past few days. Although she didn't want to lose some weight, she would be talked about if she gained too much weight as it wasn't considered 'pretty' for a girl like her.
'Well, I guess I'll try and eat more vegetables these days, maybe one part of the plate can be the food? The other part of the plate will be filled with vegetables. Though I'll have to give it a trial run first for a few days before making it a daily thing.'
Lady Melissa thought, shuddering at the thought of eating too many vegetables over and over, continuously for days.
Lady Melissa finished her salad soon after, planning to head up to her room to inspect the letter that she had been inspecting the previous night. More specifically, the letter she had sent to her parents and the one they had sent back to her.
Speaking of which, Lady Melissa thought to see the head butler, Derreck first before going back to her room and inspecting the letter again. Perhaps Derreck had already done what she had ordered him to.
Lady Melissa soon left the dining room, as she walked through the Shayla estate, not wanting to draw attention to herself if she called Derreck.
One could never be too careful anyways.
Lady Melissa walked and walked, as she soon found Derreck talking to one of the servants, she quickly signaled for him to come over and talk to her.
"Have you done it?"
Lady Melissa asked Derreck, wondering if he had finally finished what she had ordered him to do.
"I'll talk to you later."
Derreck said to the servant, as the servant nodded his head, leaving Lady Melissa and Derreck alone.
"Yes, I've done it."
Derreck quickly replied.
"Well, then where is it?"
Lady Melissa asked, wanting to know which one of the employees had black, straight hair, and maybe find out what had happened.
"Give me one second Lady Melissa, 'll take it for you. In the meantime, just stay right here."
Derreck said, as he quickly went into his room, grabbing the report so he could hand it over to Lady Melissa.
"Here you go."
Derreck said, as he handed the report to Lady Melissa.
Lady Melissa skimmed through the pages, before dismissing Derreck and heading up to her room.
Lady Melissa was planning to read the report thoroughly and see which one of the employee's would do such a thing.
Though of course she didn't know any of the servants and maids in the Shayla estate on a personal level.
Lady Melissa soon arrived at her room, opening the door as she went into her desk, the report in her hand, and her other hand opening the door.
'Now, let's see who our list of suspects are.'
Lady Melissa thought.
Although she had skimmed the report, she hadn't actually properly read any of the names, she only made sure that the report contained what it was supposed to, which in this case was the name of all the employees who had dark long straight hair.
Though it was only the maids, since only the maids were given access to clean Lady Melissa's room, the servants weren't given access to it.
Lady Melissa opened the report, and the first name on it was Sophia, her personal maid.
Lady Melissa thought about it, thinking that Sophia might have done it but there was no way right?
Besides, she hadn't read through the whole report anyways, she needed to see all her options before deciding which one of the maids was the true culprit.
She couldn't just randomly make decisions before even seeing the whole report.
Lady Melissa read through each one of its pages, thoroughly reading each of the maids' names and inspecting them, hoping that she could pick up a memory or two of them.
Unfortunately, she didn't end up recalling a memory or two of most of the maids in the SShayla estate.
Though it wasn't that much of a surprise since she didn't really pay that much attention to the maids, or any of the employees really.
Lady Melissa usually had far more important things to focus on and knowing about all the maids in the Shayla estate just wasn't one of those important things, at least not for Lady Melissa.
Though the report was useful as it narrowed down her list of suspects.
Though, to be fair, most of the maids had black-hair anyways, and straight hair too for that matter.
Then again, the report that Derreck gave did narrow down Lady Melissa's list of suspects, though not by a lot, it still narrowed it down.
Lady Melissa took out her red pen, as she opened the report once more, deciding to circle out the pictures of the maids she suspected, or someone she thought would do a crime.
Lady Melissa opened the pen, circling out the maids' faces almost immediately, and even putting a triangle on Sophia's face.
Lady Melisa trusted Sophia but there was always a chance Sophia could've done such a thing and she wanted to believe Sophia, but she just didn't know anymore.
Sophia had been acting strangely the past few days anyways, acting different and just weird.
