The Duke and the Duchess, both ate their food slowly, savouring both the moment and taste of the food.
"How are the both of you doing, Dad and Mom? I know you've been under a lot of stress these past few days."
Lady Melissa said to her parents, giving the both of them a comforting and reassuring smile, knowing the kind of stress they had to go through since, she went through that same type of stress when they were gone.
"Oh it's fine, wasn't nothing that your father and I haven't dealt with before, but what about you Melissa? Sorry we've been so busy that we couldn't even introduce your own guard to you."
The Duchess said, as Justin quickly glanced at the Duchess, before averting his gaze away to the wall.
"Oh don't worry about it mother, Derrick had already introduced Justin to me. Oh, and you and father have been eating properly these past few days right?"
Lady Melissa asked if her parents had been eating properly since she had never spotted them when she ate breakfast, or dinner for that matter.
"Don't worry about us, we've been eating dinner, and breakfast, we just eat it in our room since we're usually too busy to go down and eat."
The Duke said, as he spoke up, not wanting his wife, nor daughter to forget about his presence in the room.
"Ohhh I see. When the both of you are done eating, we're going to go somewhere special, so look forward to it."
Lady Melissa said, as she told her parents that as soon as they were done eating that the three of them, excluding Justin, would go together to somewhere special.
Of course, Justin would join them but he would be in a separate and a cheaper carriage that the Shayla estate owned, to get there, along with Sophia just in case anything happens.
Soon enough, Lady Melissa's parents had finished eating breakfast, excited on where they would go next.
Earlier in the morning, Lady Melissa had already instructed the driver to bring them to their next location, so she wouldn't be revealing the location's spot in front of her parents.
"For our next spot, we need to go outside and into the carriage, it'll bring us to our next destination."
Lady Melissa said, as her parents followed her, with Justin trailing behind all of them, with Sophia.
Justin and Sophia quickly took the carriage behind the one Lady Melissa and her parents were in.
"Where are we going Melissa?"
The Duchess asked Lady Melissa, whilst she went inside the carriage, taking a seat right beside Lady Melissa.
"It's a surprise, and hopefully the both of you will like it."
Lady Melissa said, as she gave both of her parents a smirk, hoping that the both of them would enjoy where she would bring them next.
"Based on everything you've gifted us earlier, I'm sure this will be great, and that the both of us will love it."
The Duke said, as he gave Lady Melissa a smile in return, sure that he and his wife would love wherever Lady Melissa would bring them next.
Heck, the Duke was already ecstatic to know that for the rest of the day he and his wife were stress-free, and the best part was that they could finally spend time with their daughter.
Of course, the Duke appreciated the gifts Lady Melissa had bought, or made for him and his wife, but they were meaningless compared to their own daughter.
Their daughter meant the world to them, and being able to spend time with her was the greatest thing they could have.
If the Duke didn't appreciate the gift Lady Melissa had gotten for him, he wouldn't have immediately put on the watch and tried it.
But he did put it on and try it, and now he was wearing it, which Lady Melissa didn't notice since it was covered by the Duke's clothes' sleeves.
The Duchess thought similarly like the Duke, the greatest gift she and her husband could receive was not gifts.
As those could be bought with money-, but it was rather being able to spend time with their daughter, and enjoy themselves, even if it was only for one day.
"We're here! "
Lady Melissa said, excited to show her parents where she had brought them, wondering whether they would like the place or not.
The driver quickly opened the doors, as Lady Melissa's parents stepped out of the carriage, looking around, wondering where they were at before her mother let out an audible gasp once more.
"That's right mother, this is the blue lagoon."
Lady Melissa said, as she already knew what her mother was thinking based on the audible gasp and her face.
"How did you manage to get this place? I thought it was booked for weeks?"
The Duchess asked, wondering how her daughter was able to bring them to blue lagoon, a prestigious place, where only nobles were allowed to enter, and even the nobles with the highest status in society would have to wait in line like everybody else.
The blue lagoon was like a place to eat breakfast and lunch, and it was specifically only open from 6:00 A.M.-12:00 P.M.
The blue lagoon didn't only offer that though, they owned a private lake, in which nobles could go and ride boats, with the beautiful scenery that would accompany them.
Of course, there would be someone peddling the boat, and there was one last thing, an aquarium, and it was the first ever place to have an aquarium that big.
There were multiple aquariums, one was filled with stingrays, while the second was filled with sharks, and the last was filled with fishes that wouldn't harm each other, for better or worse.
Lady Melissa had rented out the entire place for her parents, and herself, with the help of some of her connections of course.
She was excited for her parents to experience the aquarium and the boat-riding together. She had heard many nobles talking about how beautiful the scenery was in the lake.
