"It was nice seeing you too, make sure to do the swordsmanship exercises and take care of yourself alright?"
Duchess Ella asked to which Lady Melissa replied a 'yes' too.
Lady Melissa soon left the room, giving Duchess Ella one last glance before she left Duchess Ella alone in her room.
Lady Melissa was so caught up with Duchess Ella that she wasn't aware of her surroundings, accidentally bumping into someone.
"Sorry."
Lady Melissa said, letting out a little gasp, as she looked up wondering who she had bumped into thinking that it was Duchess Ella's husband.
Contrary to Lady Melissa's beliefs, it wasn't who she had expected, instead, it was none other than Duke Gaston who was standing right in front of her.
"Why are you here?"
Lady Melissa suddenly blurted out, not realizing she had said it out loud, as her cheeks turned red, feeling embarrassed.
"I can say the same thing to you."
Duke Gaston replied, looking up and down on Lady Melissa when he stopped at her eyes, as Lady Melissa gulped.
Duke Gaston soon let out a smirk seeing her nervous expression as he replied to her question.
"I'm here to see Duchess Ella, I assume you were doing the same earlier?"
Duke Gaston asked Lady Melissa who slowly nodded her head.
"It was a pleasure seeing you, Lady Melissa. Unfortunately, however, I must go and see Duchess Ella."
Duke Gaston said, as he went on his knees and kissed Lady Melissa's hand, making sure to open her gloves first while doing so.
Lady Melissa's heart fluttered as she felt Duke Gaston's warm lips on her arm, as she snapped herself out of it, she couldn't allow herself to get distracted by such scandalous thoughts.
Lady Melissa simply stared in silence as Duke Gaston's back slowly started to disappear from her sight.
Lady Melissa quickly regained herself as she made her way to the carriage, where Sophia was waiting for her.
"How did it go?"
Sophia curiously asked Lady Melissa, wondering how her meet-up with Duchess Ella had gone successful or not.
"It was fine, we talked a bit and she looked alright, though I won't be having any swordsmanship lessons for a week."
Lady Melissa said to Sophia, as she mumbled the last part, a little frustrated that she wouldn't be able to learn any new swordsmanship skills or tricks for a whole week.
Sophia stayed quiet as Lady Melissa and her both made their way back into the Shayla estate, as Lady Melissa let out a sigh of relief.
That was one less problem for her to worry about, now she just had to meet Duke Mason and Duke Alphonso (both of them individually of course), and discuss some things with them.
Lady Melissa rubbed her neck as she made her way up the stairs, and as the universe would have it, there standing inside of her room was Duke Mason.
"You just gonna stare at me all day, pretty girl?"
Lady Melissa's eyes widened a bit as her cheeks soon turned into a bright shade of red, realizing what Duke Mason had called her.
"Cute."
Duke Mason said as he mumbled under his breath, still maintaining eye contact with Lady Melissa.
Duke Mason slowly approached Lady Melissa who had made sure to close the door upon entering her room.
"Why are you here- no how are you here? Security was tightened a few days ago. Then again it's no match for someone like you."
Lady Melissa said as she mentally faced palmed herself, she hadn't expected to run into him when she had just met Duke Gaston earlier.
And she'd never expect for the both of them to call her cute, only an hour away from each other.
"Well, you guessed correctly, security isn't a match for someone like me. I'm the boss of one of the most powerful guilds, remember darling?"
Duke Mason said as he used another pet name on Lady Melissa, making her heart skip a beat…or two.
"So? I guess you're here to discuss yesterday's events with me?"
Lady Melissa said as she made sure to quickly cast a spell to make their walls soundproof, at least for the meantime.
"I think I'm going to need you to be a little more specific with me darling, I'm not sure which one of yesterday's events you're talking about, too much happened yesterday for me to know which one you're talking about."
Duke Mason said, as he took a seat down, sitting in front of Lady Melissa as he crossed his legs against each other, all whilst maintaining his eye contact with Lady Melissa, not even blinking when doing so.
Lady Melissa's face became redder, with the use of Duke Mason's pet name, an action that didn't go unnoticed by Duke Mason himself as he stared at her face, observing her cute little reactions with every pet name he used on her.
"I'm pretty sure you know which one I'm talking about, Duke Mason."
Lady Melissa said as Duke Mason let out a little laugh, confusing Lady Melissa who decided that it was best for her to ignore it, who knew what he was thinking about? For all, she knew he could be planning her murder right now in front of her as he laughed.
"Fine, I'll tell you what you need to know if you do me a little favour."
Duke Mason said, as Lady Melissa raised her eyebrows, she knew that if someone like Duke Mason had to ask her for a favour, then it was important. Lady Melissa narrowed her eyes, she didn't want to kill anyone.
'What if he's going to get me to kill someone? What if I get caught? What if he wants to murder me?'
Lady Melissa's head was filled with the multiple possibilities of the favour that Duke Mason was going to ask her for.
"So? How about it? Want to do me a favour?"
Duke Mason said as he asked Lady Melissa, wondering whether Lady Melissa would accept his favour or not, a sly smirk on his face.
Lady Melissa was tempted to say yes, after seeing the smirk on his face- she was tempted to do anything he'd ask her.
