Soon enough there was a knock at the door again- as Sophia came in after being granted permission from Lady Melissa.
"Here are the other bodyguards left Lady Melissa."
Sophia said as the other last two remaining bodyguards bowed down to Lady Melissa, as well as Sophia.
"If there's nothing else, you can go and excuse yourself Sophia."
Lady Melissa bluntly said as Sophia nodded her head, leaving the room as she left the five bodyguards alone with Lady Melissa.
"Congratulations to all of you here, you've been hired to work for me, and each of you can get your individual contracts on my desk and read each of its pages, you may ask any questions if you're confused."
Lady Melissa said as the four bodyguards nodded their heads, Justin simply stood since he didn't have another contract to sign.
The four bodyguards approached Lady Melissa's desk as each one of them took their own individual contracts, which consisted of about 15-20 pages.
Lady Melissa sat back on her desk as she observed each of their faces, all of them still reading each of their own individual contracts.
"Excuse me, but the sentence 'If Party A is in any sort of conflict or physical struggle, Party B should henceforth help them.' That means that we, as the bodyguards, should help you in any sort of physical struggle right?"
One of the bodyguards asked as Lady Melissa shook her head.
"Thank you."
The bodyguard mumbled softly under her breath as Lady Melissa gave her a smile.
"Are there any other questions?"
Lady Melissa sternly asked after ten to fifteen minutes had passed, since no one was asking questions, she wanted to know whether she could start talking about the bracelets and rings and the fact that they all needed to make knight's vows to her.
Originally Lady Melissa thought about whether they could choose whether they want to make a knight's vow to her or not, but after seeing the past events that had happened.
Lady Melissa decided that it'd be best for her to just make all of her bodyguards do the knight's vows to her since then none of them would be able to betray her or worse.
All of the bodyguards shook their heads in unison as Lady Melissa let out a smile, she could finally start actually explaining things, secretly wondering if any of them would choose to quit before they even started.
"I'm not sure if any of you noticed but the contract missed out a few details such as your shifts, how long each of you is going to work for me etc."
Lady Melissa said as in the corner of her eye she could see a few of the bodyguards nodding their heads in unison.
"So, I'll be explaining some of the details that the contract missed out, and Justin will be explaining some of the other details after with you in private."
Lady Melissa said as she pointed at Justin, who nodded his head.
Lady Melissa had told Justin about everything he needed to know at the last minute, and with his own experience with Lady Melissa before he was sure he could answer their questions.
Or at least he hoped he could do so, or else that would be embarrassing considering that he was their senior, even though he only started working for Lady Melissa a few weeks ago.
It would shatter Justin's nonexistent pride and ego if he couldn't answer any of the questions his juniors would ask him.
That is considering the fact that all of the four people there in the room wanted to work for Lady Melissa.
"First of all, your shifts, every three to four hours, each of you will switch. For example, 1-5 A.M. will be Justin and then once it's 5 A.M. the next guard will be guarding me for the next four hours."
Lady Melissa said as she gave an example.
"The rotation for every day is Justin, then Nathan, Clara, and then etc and then the rotation will keep repeating so it's similar to that of a never-ending cycle."
Lady Melissa said, a smile on her face as she explained who was going to work and so on.
"Oh and if any of you die during work or because of me, then your family's or your close ones will be compensated with a sizable amount."
Lady Melissa said, explaining what was going to happen if one of them died on the job, or because of her.
"I'm sure all of you have so many more questions; and there are a lot more that I haven't explained to each of you but this is where Justin comes, he'll explain the things that I haven't explained, and most importantly, he'll discuss the rings and bracelets that are similar to the one that he is currently wearing."
Lady Melissa said, as Justin held out his hand showcasing the ring and bracelet that he was currently wearing, which was custom made.
Lady Melissa had made sure to imbue some magic and have each of them be custom made, after all they were working for Lady Melissa, she couldn't have them wear such shabby rings or bracelets right?
"Oh and one last thing before I dismiss you all and you ask Justin any questions or so, you work starting from tomorrow and I would love it if you all are punctual and respect me, or else I can't promise what happens to you next."
Lady Melissa said as she stared daggers at her four new bodyguards who in unison gulped, and nodded their heads slowly.
Lady Melissa had already told Justin about the Knight's vow and so and so, and she was planning for each of them to have written their knight's vow by tonight and they'd do it in front of Lady Melissa.
"That is if you do decide to work here."
Lady Melissa said with a smile before she coldly dismissed all of them, Justin included, and they left her room.
'I wonder which one of them will be giving me their Knight's vow first.'
Lady Melissa thought with a smirk on her face, wondering just which one of them would be 'the one.'
