Truth be told, Lady Melissa had more than enough time on her hands to explain more about their job as a bodyguard and so and so, but did she have the energy to? The simple answer is 'no.'
She couldn't be bothered to spend the next thirty minutes or so explaining everything to each one of the bodyguards, and neither did she have the patience to do any of that either.
Hence, Lady Melissa had quickly given Justin a prep talk about what he needed to know and everything and had redirected all of their questions to him, knowing that he certainly couldn't deny his master's orders, or else his pay was going to be cut for the entire month.
A few hours and so had passed, and Lady Melissa heard a knock on her door.
"Come in."
Lady Melissa casually said, as she was greeted with the sight of one of her bodyguards, Nathan, Lady Melissa already knew what he was going to ask her for, she had kind of expected it.
She was actually going to talk to him about it tomorrow but seeing how he had approached her first she assumed that he was going to talk to her, at least now she could tell him about Noel earlier.
"Good Evening Lady Melissa, is it possible for me to talk to you regarding my brother Noel? I have a few questions regarding him and I doubt Justin had the answers to them so I came to you."
Nathan said as he quickly bowed his head down, glancing at Lady Melissa before he quickly averted his gaze to somewhere else.
"Be my guest, I'll gladly answer your questions regarding your brother, Noel."
Lady Melissa said as Nathan gave her a thankful smile.
Little did Nathan know that Justin had the answers to his questions regarding Noel since he was the one who had taken care of the body.
"Where is my brother? You said that he died right on the first day of this job, so where is his body? And how did he die? What was the weapon and has the suspect been caught yet?"
Nathan asked Lady Melissa as he bombarded her with multiple questions that were going through his head before she rudely interrupted him.
"One by one, but to answer your questions. Noel is safe, his body is currently in a funeral home which I'll give you the address later, you can go pick up his body to prepare a funeral for him."
Lady Melissa calmly said as she took a breather before she soon continued answering Nathan's questions one by one.
"Your brother died because of a murder attempt against me, the weapon was a knife so he has several stab wounds all throughout his body, and the criminal who committed the murder has been caught, unfortunately, I can't reveal the criminal's identity but you can rest assured, they have been caught and is currently suffering from the consequences of their actions."
Lady Melissa said, already knowing the next question that Nathan was going to ask her, hence why she had answered it before he was even going to ask her about the criminal's identity.
Although she'd love for Nathan to bring hell to Victoria, she knew that she would be putting a lot at risk if she did so- and just for extra precautions, she had already made sure to ask Justin to erase all traces of Victoria ever existing.
Well ever-existing after she died, and she knew she'd have to be explaining about Victoria and everything to Nathan, and she wasn't ready to tell the whole truth to a stranger whom she had just met, in a few hours ago.
Lady Melissa hadn't even told Justin the whole story- though she already knew that in one way or another, he was somehow going to find out and put the pieces together, even then he wouldn't be able to tell anyone, so it was still a win-win for Lady Melissa.
Lady Melissa decided that she wasn't going to tell any of her bodyguards the whole story- she knew that if the bodyguards had managed to get through Derreck's selection process, then they were smart enough to figure things out on their own.
Besides Lady Melissa didn't want to complicate things by telling her bodyguards every single little detail, she'd end up having to explain from her first life, and truth be told she wasn't planning to tell anyone about her previous life, whether if they were her bodyguards or not.
"Oh and, I'll be compensating you with money because of Noel's death, I'll give you the money along with the address and location of the funeral home, in the meantime, do you have any questions to ask me?"
Lady Melissa asked Nathan, seeing his fists being clenched together.
"I don't think I have any questions regarding Noel leaving, but I have a question regarding the job, are we allowed to take breaks? And if so, how long can we take the breaks?"
Nathan asked as Lady Melissa nodded her head, whilst she calmly answered his question.
"You'll of course be permitted to take breaks, but since the job of being a bodyguard requests someone to be present 24/7 then you'll only be permitted to take short breaks, the maximum being three days."
Lady Melissa explained as Nathan nodded his head.
"The breaks can't be taken all in a row either, they can only be taken separately, and in one month you're only permitted to take one break, with only the three limited breaks."
Lady Melissa said, as Nathan nodded a little confused with her explanation but he understood what she was trying to say.
"Alright, thank you for the explanation Lady Melissa, I think I'm ready to do my knight's vow right now. If you're available of course?"
Nathan said as he raised his eyebrows, wondering if Lady Melissa was available and had time for him to do his knight's vow to her, after all there needed to be at least two people for the knight's vow.
One is the master and one being the knight, or in this case the bodyguard.
