Chapter 252 - 252

"I am grateful for the demand my King, though I do not believe that the Shayla estate's mines are worth only one wish. How about this, three wishes, and the key that unlocks any lock in the whole of the United Kingdom? I'll give you all the rights of the Shayla estate mines, every single one of them."

Lady Melissa said, emphasizing on the last part, she had somehow managed to ask for more- her initial offer from three wishes to three wishes and the key that unlocked anywhere.

Lady Melissa knew that all of the royal family members had that key with them, including both the King and the Crown Prince.

"Three wishes, and I'll give 100000 gold."

The King said, as he negotiated the price whilst Lady Melissa's confidence never wavered- not even a single bit, she was going to fight for her price, the Shayla estate's mines were going to be worth a lot- especially in the future, and the royal palace would definitely benefit from having it in the future.

Lady Melissa didn't want any sort of money, or jewellery for that matter- she didn't need it when the Shayla estate had more than enough for it.

The offer that the King had given her was certainly eye-whopping, but the key would be so much more useful for her- especially in the future, she'd need it.

"Three wishes, and the Key."

Lady Melissa said, repeating on her request as the King stayed silent for the next few minutes, wondering whether the deal was perhaps worth it, 100000 gold coins was already more than a whopping amount, but Lady Melissa didn't waver at all even after the amount, it made him think why the Shayla estate mines were so expensive- what did she have in her possession that made her believe that the Shayla estate's mines were worth that much?

"Fine."

The King said as Lady Melissa's expression on her face didn't change a single bit.

"I'll come to the palace tomorrow and have the contract drawn up is that alright?"

Lady Melissa asked the King as he replied with a 'yes'.

"I'll come around in the afternoon or evening."

Lady Melissa said as the King stayed in silence.

"You can go and excuse yourself now."

The King said as Lady Melissa bowed her head down, saying goodbye to the King before she left the room.

Lady Melissa had bumped into someone- just after she had left the room, it was none other than Camilia.

"I apologize, greetings, to the Crown Prince's fiance."

Lady Melissa said, bowing her head down to greet her, and then Lady Melissa proceeded to help Camilia, but since she had never technically introduced herself- Lady Melissa couldn't just call her Camilia.

"It's fine, you can just call me Camilia."

"You can call me Melissa then."

Lady Melissa said a fake smile on her face.

"Did you just come from an audience with the King?"

Camilia asked, as her eyes narrowed between Lady Melissa and the door beside her.

"Yes, I did."

Lady Melissa said as Camilia gave Lady Melissa a smile- Lady Melissa doing the same to her.

"I apologize but I'm busy, though if you are free, I'd like to invite you to a tea party with me someday, it was nice talking to you."

Camilia said as Lady Melissa smiled, and the both of them had gone their separate paths.

Based on that five-minute interaction Lady Melissa had with Camilia, that was enough for her to know that she had been faking everything- from the way she talked, to even the bump.

It was almost as if everything was staged, Lady Melissa was certainly going to take up Camilia on her offer- she was sure that the woman certainly knew much much more than she was supposed to.

Lady Melissa was surprised at the fact that there were no guards guarding the door beside her though, earlier there were guards, but there weren't any guards anymore during her little interaction with Camilia, so there was a chance that she had staged all of this. But why?

That was what Lady Melissa was going to find out why Camilia had staged the 'bump.'

Lady Melissa made her way back to her parents, the corridors seeming empty and such.

"How did it go?"

The Duke asked a nervous and concerned look on his face since Lady Melissa had been talking to the King for a little over an hour.

"Don't worry, everything is fine."

Lady Melissa said as she assured her father that everything was fine and that her family wouldn't face any sort of problems.

"What did you talk to the King about?"

The Duchess asked, curious to what Lady Melissa spoke to the King for so long about.

"Not much, though I'll be coming to the royal palace tomorrow again."

Lady Melissa said,as her parent's eyes widened- again?

"What do you mean? Why does the King want to speak to you again?"

The Duchess asked, fear evident in her voice.

Just as Lady Melissa was going to speak up, a guard had come to her rescue- informing her that the Queen- for some reason had wanted to see her.

"Good Evening Lady Melissa, the Queen requests for your presence."

The Guard plainly stated as Lady Melissa maintained her stoic demeanour- though she wondered whatever reason the Queen would have for wanting to see her.

"I'll talk to you later alright mama and papa? I don't want to keep the queen waiting."

Lady Melissa said, a seemingly apologetic smile on her face as her parents couldn't argue against her- especially since their daughter was seeing the Queen.

Lady Melissa turned around, as the guard escorted her to where the Queen was- she had left Sophia and Justin again since well they couldn't possibly be with her whilst she was talking to the Queen.

"The Queen is currently waiting for you inside of this room."

The guard said as Lady Melissa nodded her head, knocking on the door before hearing the Queen's voice, telling her to come inside.
