Chapter 263 - 263

"Are you from the wolf pack who could speak?"

Lady Melissa asked, though she already knew the answer, she still hadn't let the realization of the situation sink into her yet- still being stunned and so.

"Yes, now what are you doing in my territory?"

The wolf asked as Lady Melissa gulped, now she wasn't usually intimidated by people- but this was a completely different situation, she was head to head with a wolf that was TOWERING over her.

In addition to that, the wolf was from a wolf pack that had been extinct hundreds of years ago, at least that was what the history books had said last time, though now that she thought about it, they were probably assuming once again that the wolf pack had died.

"Wait…are you from the Shayla family?"

The wolf asked, as his eyes widened a bit, as he stared her up and down a few times before nodding his head- perhaps it was time for him to tell her about it, after all the others had already told him that someone was going to be coming here.

"Yes."

Lady Melissa truthfully replied, knowing that the worse thing to do in the situation was to lie to the wolf.

"Well then, come with me."

The wolf said, as he started leading Lady Melissa to the place where she had touched the book earlier, Lady Melissa followed in his footsteps, as her mind was filled with hundreds of questions, who was this wolf, and how had she even gotten here?

Of course, Lady Melissa now knew which wolf pack the wolf was from, but she didn't know specifically which wolf this was- truth be told, she had thought that the wolf pack that could speak was entirely else- perhaps a fairy tale made by adults to amuse children.

After all, there were hundreds of fake information in history books, so there was no telling that this one would be real- and there wasn't that much information about them either, so Lady Melissa assumed that they were just fictional- a figment of people's imagination.

"You saw this book earlier right?"

The wolf asked Lady Melissa, as he levitated the book in the air, all of his legs still on the ground as he put it right in front of Lady Melissa's face, as she slowly nodded, agreeing to his question.

"I'm Boreas, and I have the power to allow anyone to reincarnate into whatever soul, body or year they please."

Boreas said as Lady Melissa's eyes widened- he was the one who had gotten her a second chance at life.

"Oh and I can also read minds."

Boreas quickly added, as Lady Melisssa's cheeks flushed red a little bit- had he heard all the questions she had? And also some of the comments she had on wanting to pet him because of how fluffy he had looked?

"Anyways, whatever soul that has negative feelings such as hate are reincarnated, and so they are given a second chance of life, to make peace with themselves during the last moments of their life."

Boreas said, as Lady Melissa slowly nodded her head, understanding what he was trying to say to her.

"Though not everyone has memories of their past life, only the ones who were lucky enough had managed to have them, most of their memories are wiped out, and so the lucky few if their willpower is strong enough, will manage not to get their brains wiped out."

Boreas said, as Lady Melissa nodded her head, admittedly a little confused with his words as he noticed this, shortening what he was saying.

"Everyone forgets about their past life, and only the ones who have strong enough brainpower can manage to keep theirs."

Boreas blankly stated as Lady Melissa mumbled out an 'I see.'

"Did you bring me here?"

Lady Melissa asked Boreas, as she raised one of her eyebrows- after all, there was no one else in sight.

"No, you woke me up from my sleep, it's fate that you came down here and saw me, and just happened to wake me up from my slumber."

Boreas said, as he sarcastically said, though Lady Melisssa didn't hear the last part of his sentence luckily.

"So, fate exists?"

Lady Melissa asked, intrigued by the sudden mention of fate, she had so many questions to ask Boreas, now knowing that he was one of the reasons why she got reincarnated- though at the same time he wasn't really one of the reasons why he got reincarnated, she was sure he knew more than her.

"Yes and no, sometimes fate cannot be changed- yet other times, some people if they try hard enough through sheer determination and will, will be able to change fate, create a fate of their own."

Boreas said as Lady Melissa nodded her head, as she understood what Boreas was trying to tell her- that it was possible for her to recreate her own fate of her own, and have her own happy ending.

"Anyway, you'll be forgetting about this happening in a few minutes, don't worry, I'll send you back to the Shayla estate since I'm pretty sure you don't know how to get back. It was horrible seeing you."

Boreas said, as in an instant Lady Melissa had teleported from the tunnel- back into the Shayla estate, as she held her head, currently having a headache as she had forgotten about the incidents that had happened just a few minutes ago.

Lady Melissa then remembered why she was there in the first place- to retrieve her parent's deed, after a little more snooping around, she had found it as she had placed it inside of her dress pocket, making sure that it wouldn't fall when she walked.

Lady Melissa glanced at the clock, for some reason, she felt like it had been hours since she was last here, but she shrugged the thought off her head, after all, that was just some stupid and unreasonable thought of hers right?
