Lady Melissa awoke, as she got into the bathroom, ready to wash her face and shower as she noticed two wine glasses beside the sink, letting out a little smile before she noticed a small note below it.
'Had fun tonight. I would love to do this again with you.'
Duke Alphonso said, a small and simple message on a note below the wine glasses, as Lady Melissa let out a smile, men who were caring and respectful would always have her heart.
Lady Melissa's heart skipped a beat, noticing that Duke Alphonso had cleaned the desk for her, which was the first thing that she had noticed after exiting her bathroom.
Since Lady Melissa had gotten sleepy and had actually slept after Duke Alphonso had left, she wasn't able to do the paperwork from yesterday, and in addition to that, she had today's paperwork to get through, which quite frankly was more than enough for her to go through.
Lady Melissa let out a grunt in annoyance, she was definitely not going to hang out with Duke Alphonso anymore, though the temptation might be too sweet for her to resist, after all, a good night's rest?
The last time she had managed to even sleep that well was when she was a baby, and now knowing that Duke Alphonso was the solution to all her problems- or at least one of them, she was tempted to perhaps have another drinking game with him.
Lady Melissa was able to learn all sorts of information about Duke Alphonso after the drinking game, she had found out that surprisingly, he liked to fish in his free time- she had never expected that, though she had expected that the reason the information probably wasn't public was because of how people would mock him- especially nobles when they would find out about his hobby.
After all, fishing was a 'peasant' job, a job that wasn't suitable for nobles, and it wasn't even considered as a hobby for most, if not almost all the people, though it was one to Duke Alphonso.
Duke Alphonso had also flirted with Lady Melissa a number of times. Perhaps some nobles would call it 'unfitting' or 'peasant like' since it was always the peasants who would do any sort of clean up for the nobles, but Lady Melissa had found it sweet, it was an action that Lady Melissa honestly loved, it was just so sweet and such that Lady Melissa couldn't help but let out a smile at.
She definitely didn't regret hanging out with Duke Alphonso, and she would do it again- or so she thought, but here she was, currently suffering the decisions that she had made last night.
Lady Melissa managed to get herself to go down and to start her day off, which, had been off to a great start so far, considering the fact that she had managed to get a good night's rest, though on the other hand, she was suffering as well since she couldn't finish yesterday's paperwork, meaning that she had numerous piles of them to do right now.
Lady Melissa yawned, stretching her hands as she made her way down the stairs, quickly eating her breakfast before she headed out, to none other than the royal palace.
Lady Melissa hadn't sent a letter to the King to request an audience, since today she wasn't seeing the King, she was seeing the Queen, who had actually invited her to have a private tea party with her, even if Lady Melissa wanted to reject or decline the offer (which she didn't want to do) she would have no choice but to accept it since the person who had invited her was none other than the Queen.
Lady Melissa had worn a red dress, as she had already gotten ready to go to the royal palace, only needing to sort out a few things before she would arrive there.
Lady Melissa, soon enough, entered her carriage, being accompanied by none other than Justin, as the both of them would head out to the royal palace.
Lady Melissa, deciding that it would be a hassle and take more time to get the other carriage, the one that would be used for employees, decided that it wouldn't hurt if the both of them rode together, besides it had been pretty long since they had done so.
Lady Melissa intensely stared, at the man in front of her, as he closed his eyes, wary of the intense stares his mistress was giving him, as he felt uncomfortable by them, though he didn't show it.
"How are you and Sophia?"
Lady Melissa asked Justin though the question ended up sounding more like an order, something that he needed to answer.
"We're doing great."
Justin quietly said, his eyes still closed as Lady Melissa let out a mumble.
"Be on the lookout you never know, one day another man might just steal her away from you."
Lady Melissa said, as Justin thought that she was joking for a second, but he opened his eyes- and her expression was serious, at least serious enough for him to believe her words.
"Thank you for the information Lady Melissa."
Justin stiffly said as Lady Melissa nodded her head, as she stared at the window, the rest of their time in the carriage being spent in silence.
During the whole time of the carriage, Lady Melissa had multiple thoughts in her head, one of them being what it felt like to be young in love, even though Lady Melissa was younger than both of her employees.
Perhaps it was because of the fact that Lady Melissa had gone through the same life twice, though technically it was a different life since some things had changed in this life compared to the previous one.
Lady Melissa felt as if she was old, perhaps that was where she had gotten all her wisdom from- her old age and experience that she had received in her previous life.
