Duke Gaston flinched his head finally out of the gutters, only now realizing how close he was to Lady Melissa, he could practically feel her breath. Lady Melissa noticed the man flinching, but she didn't mind, thinking that it was probably nothing.
Meanwhile, Duke Gaston was looking at Lady Melissa up and down, from her face- to her eyes, nose, cheeks before his eyes finally landed on her lips- those rosy lips that just looked so tempting.
Duke Gaston gulped down, his imagination going wild, thinking about the number of things he could do to her right here, right now, before he was harshly brought back to reality with Lady Melissa shaking his body.
"Stop spacing out, we gotta go back."
Lady Melissa said as she shook Duke Gaston's body with all of her strength.
"Apologies Lady Melissa, my mind was preoccupied with a few things."
Duke Gaston said as he cleared his throat, Lady Melissa rolling her eyes at Duke Gaston.
"What about that woman?"
Duke Gaston asked as Lady Melissa let out a sigh of irritation and annoyment.
"You really haven't listened to me at all huh?"
Lady Melissa asked, her tone filled with irritation and annoyment- she had already explained it to Duke Gaston earlier, while she was checking his body for any injuries he had, but apparently, the man hadn't been listening.
Duke Gaston said nothing in response, as Lady Melissa let out another sigh- this time, however, the sigh was different- she was too tired to deal with this, but she knew that she needed to tell Duke Gaston.
"Justin will take care of it, don't worry."
Lady Melissa said, as she had already known that Justin was going to come here- she just needed to wait for him, her heart had been beating so fast that she was sure ALL of her bodyguards had been contacted.
Lady Melissa and Duke Gaston just needed to wait for them to arrive here.
However, she wasn't gonna let her guard down so easily- there was a big chance that Lady Camilia was still here, and perhaps even observing her every move.
She could tell that Duke Gaston was keeping his guard up as well.
Lady Melissa and Duke Gaston made their way out of the door, after a display of brute strength by herself and the Duke (and boy might I tell you that I wouldn't wanna be the door).
The both of them managed to escape the place, other than there being a few mishaps and such, seeing security guards supervising the area.
Lady Melissa and Duke Gaston had managed to knock out a few of them when they had spotted the both of them, after all, it was easier to knock someone out.
Lady Melissa and Duke Gaston had finally managed to leave the warehouse, since the place looked like a warehouse, or at least the both of them assumed it was one.
They would've escaped from the window in the room that they were in earlier if there was one.
However, there wasn't one, it was one of the first few things Lady Melissa had managed to notice about the room, how it was so different, not even having a singular window.
Lady Melissa and Duke Gaston had managed to leave the place- however, they were greeted with the shining moonlight.
Lady Melissa and Duke Gaston hadn't realized how much time the both of them had spent there, and Lady Melissa was sure that there was a search party for at least one of them, if not the both of them.
"My men are probably finding this location here right now."
Duke Gaston whispered to Lady Melissa, breaking the silence, almost as if he had read Lady Melissa's thoughts.
"So will mine."
Lady Melissa said in response, whispering back to Duke Gaston as the man nodded his head.
"Let's go deeper in the forest, they might try to catch us."
Duke Gaston said, whispering to Lady Melissa as she nodded her head- the both of them going deeper to the forest, and although there was some moonlight shining the forest's road, it was still nonetheless eerie.
Lady Melissa found peace in the dark, but she wasn't exactly the most comfortable person in this situation, after all, most bad things happened at night.
Lady Melissa, unconsciously grabbed ahold of Duke Gaston's hand, before she quickly pushed away, a little embarrassed by her actions before the Duke stopped her from pulling her hand away, as he used his hand to pull her hand back, as there was no sort of words shared between them.
The both of them walked inside the forest, their hands holding each other as Lady Melissa was a little embarrassed and red, she hadn't expected DUke Gaston to do such a thing to her.
Duke Gaston, meanwhile felt the same thing, his body had subconsciously reached out, though he wasn't complaining, he got the chance to hold her hand now.
Lady Melissa felt more reassured with Duke Gaston holding her hand, it felt nice.
Duke Gaston felt the same way too as if he was more at ease though the both of them still kept their guards up nonetheless, knowing what could happen at night.
As if on cue, there was a noise from behind them, as Lady Melissaa and DUke Gaston quickly shared a look with each other, before they quickly decided for one of them to look behind, and for the other to just keep looking forward, since there could always be an oncoming hit from in front of them whilst the other one was momentarily too busy to notice.
Lady Melissa looked back, her heart beating out of her chest, as she came face to face with a squirrel.
The girl let out a sigh, her worries were all for nothing then, which was good since she was quite afraid of forests at night, something she had just found out right here, right now whilst she was holding Duke Gaston's arm.
