Book 3: Chapter 3 (1/7)

Name:Twin Soul Author:Zskyph
Not only Kain didn’t laugh, he just couldn’t believe what he had just heard. Jaane Almos, a level 50 Legend Earth Mage, didn’t use the Advancement Potion that has a hundred percent chance of success on herself but saved it for him. Kain asked, “Jaane, that Advancement Potion is very precious since it has a hundred percent chance of success. Even if I was still stuck at level 50, you shouldn't give it to me but use it for yourself.”

“You have mentioned before that you believe I will advance into Saint-tier in the future, that was why I...”

Kain didn't hear what Jaane was saying after that. Kain remembered he did say something like that but it was a pure lie. Kain didn’t think Jaane was smart enough to even advance into level 31 of Legend-tier, let alone Saint-tier.

Kain said, “I have already reached level 100. Why don’t you drink that Advancement Potion now so you can become a Saint Mage?”

“Wouldn’t you be disappointed if I do that? Your trust in me wouldn't be reduced?”

“It wouldn’t. Go ahead and drink it. I have a gift for you too but you can only use it after reaching Saint-tier.”

“A gift? For me?”

“Yes. I’m sure you will like it. Now, go ahead and drink that Advancement Potion.”

Jaane listened to Kain. She sat up then immediately drank that potion. Because the potion had the success chance of one hundred percent, a brown aura released from Jaane’s body and flashed fifty-one times right after she drank it.

After advancing into level 51, Jaane opened her eyes and saw Kain had already held something in his left hand. Kain gave Jaane that item and said, “This is a Soul Advancement Stone. You can use it to upgrade your Earth Soul to a better Elemental Soul. Just close your eyes and place it on your forehead.”

“This item sounds extremely valuable. I couldn’t accept such a gift. Why didn’t you use it on yourself, Kain?”

“I have upgraded my Black Soul into Devil Soul. I can’t upgrade another Elemental Soul to a higher-tier. Go ahead, use it.”

Jaane wanted to say something, but then she decided not to. Kain was too strong already. If Jaane wanted her Earth Magic to be useful for him, then she must become stronger as well. Jaane closed her eyes, placed that Soul Advancement Stone on her forehead as instructed. Ten seconds later, Jaane opened her eyes as the Soul Advancement Stone vanished.

Jaane asked, “How long have I been sitting here?”

“Only ten seconds. I’m sure you have witnessed some kind of battle that goes on for like hours or days or even weeks in some cases.”

“I didn’t see any battle but have learned a new type of magic that I have never known existed before.”

“Oh? What kind of magic is that?”

“My Earth Soul has been upgraded to Druidic Soul and I have unlocked Druid Magic.”

“Druid Magic huh. How does it work?” Kain eagerly asked.

“I can convert up to five regular animals into Magical Beasts and have them serve me for eternity or until they get killed. Their physical strength and magical power will be able to scale with my magical power. I can recharge my mana pool by absorbing natural energy from the Earth once a day. Once a day, I can truly resurrect a magic caster and restore their health pool and mana pool to the fullest. The revived magic caster can immediately cast magic spells instead of not being able to cast magic spells for a month. I can create living things out of anything including trees, rocks, weapons, stones, metals, or even clothes. The possibility is limitless.”

Kain couldn’t control his happiness anymore. He laughed out loud and then said, “Jaane! This Druid Magic sounded even more powerful compared to my [Devil Anatomy] spell. Having you by my side, I will never have to be afraid of death ever again. Here, take this.” Kain handed Iviss to Jaane.

“A knife?” Jaane asked herself in confusion but still smiled because that knife was given to her by Kain.

Kain commanded, “Iviss, show yourself.”

The knife on Jaane’s hand turned into a beautiful pink-haired female warrior who wore silver armor and had two silver short swords on her back. Jaane didn’t expect someone else going to be here. Jaane then quickly hid behind Kain because she didn’t want Iviss to see her naked body.

Kain smiled and said, “Jaane, no need to hide. This is Iviss, she is my Soul Weapon. Iviss, from now on I need you to stay with Jaane and protect her. Because you are my Soul Weapon, I can feel your location at all times and know if you engage in any type of battle. It doesn’t matter what kind of enemy you face, you have to protect Jaane at all cost, understand?”

Iviss respectfully answered, “Yes, my Lord.”

“Thank you. Now please turn back into a knife.”

Iviss then turned herself back into a knife and landed on the ground. Kain opened the palm of his right hand and Iviss flew directly into it. Kain handed Iviss to Jaane and warmly said, “Because Iviss isn’t just a knife, no one can steal her from you. She is an Eleventh Stage Ghost Warrior from Norelf Continents which means she is much stronger compared to any human Eleventh Stage Saint Warrior in Toria Continents. The Norelf Continents is a planet famous for physical fighting skills in different Warrior Classes just like Toria Continents is a planet famous for its Elemental Magic system. With Iviss by your side, I don’t have to worry much about your whereabouts or your safety all the time. Also, even if Iviss faces any enemies stronger than her. She will still be strong enough to keep you safe for a while until I get there. If Iviss die in the line of battle, she can restore herself after twenty-four hours.”

Took the knife from Kain’s hand, Jaane asked, “Miss Iviss, can you hear me?”

“Mistress, I can hear you. Do you need me to do anything?”

Jaane was very happy when she heard Iviss called her a Mistress. Jaane said, “Yes. Please don’t look while I put my clothes back on.”

“Understood.”

After Kain and Jaane got dressed, Kain asked, “Jaane, do you want to follow me back to Benil city or-”

Jaane interrupted Kain's question as she said, “Kain, it doesn’t matter where you go, I will always follow.”

Kain smiled, nodded his head, and grabbed Jaane’s waist as he flexed his Vampire Wings and flew back to Benil city. Kain then spent two months using the ultra-rare crafting material he received as the fourth reward after completing the Timeless Dungeon to design and craft a Magical Staff that can hold six Large Mana Stones. After countless failures, Kain finally succeeded.

Kain handed the super heavy Magical Staff containing six large Mana Stones to Jaane and said, “You can make this staff as your Soul-Bound Weapon. By that way, no one can steal it from you and you will never lose it as it can fly back into your hand at any time.”
