154 Even Just For A Bi

"Why did you choose this drama back then?"

"I like the character."

"Then why did you choose this drama? I have spoken with your manager and learned that towards your projects, mostly they were chosen by you. So why?"

"Because I like the story line."

Amber closed her eyes before she opened them, "And what are you going to choose next? Because you like the actor you'll act with next?"

"Uhmm, what did I do? The ratings of all of my dramas were good," she complained.

"Good? You call this good?"

Amber placed a folder in front of her. It contained the rating of the drama as a whole but also the rating of the actors and actresses, individually.

"You were the lowest among them, despite being the second lead you were the lowest," Amber said.

This shouldn't have been her work, talking and pointing out the artist's mistakes but it seems that the company was a bit lax due to the fact that Jake could also get busy on his own designs.

As long as the project has a good rating, they no longer looked at whether their rating is good.

"Now look at this," she then placed another folder in front of her.

This time it was the rating of her very first drama, it has mediocre rating but her individual rating was higher among the others.

"You also got quite some good feedback on this drama, but during the next ones, you were like a ghost whom anyone was not noticing."

The talent became silent, she actually enjoyed this drama but her role was just a supporting one. That is why she aimed for the main if not the second lead.

"You see, you can't just suddenly jump up. The first hike of your popularity would be overshadowed by those who were already much much more famous than you are."

Amber started giving her a lecture.

"Why don't you try and follow your manager for now. The company won't give you anything that would make you lose your name. Instead Capa Entertainment will let you slowly climb up."

The artist nodded her head, she was talking to the acting president, if she didn't accept then she would surely lose her job.

After she left, Amber went to the adjacent room where the other superiors were watching what she was doing.

She stood in front of them and started speaking, "Was it that difficult? Speaking with the artists the way I did?"

No one replied.

"I know you must be thinking that it was because I was the acting president or something like that. Then I suggest you stop."

Upon seeing everything, her blood almost boiled, not towards Jake France but instead to the employees.

"Is Capa that lenient?" she asked.

Everyone looked up at her with their eyes asking her what she meant.

"It came from Jake France himself. He was already a renowned designer all through out the world. Of course people who learn of him starting his own company, would be curious."

"But that curiosity was only at the beginning. What we did about the coffee shop and all was also new, so people would once again be curious."

"The time that Capa started until now where it is still standing was all due to curiosity and not because of how much the people remember it's talents."

Somehow the superiors one by one lowered their heads.

"I understand why Jake France was unable to completely address this matter but you who should be next to him watching over the company. Why didn't you notice it?"

No one still answered.

"Is this company a joke to all of you?!?"

For the first time since she came, she lost control and got mad.

"I want all of you to look back on this matter. I hope that all of you would see to it that this wouldn't continue. And if it still do, then let's just close Capa altogether."

She walked out of the room while slamming the door behind her.

"I never thought she could get this mad. She was all smiles and politeness when she just came."

"To think she was even younger than us, isn't this a bit disrespectful?"

"You should stop whatever you are doing. She has all the right to do so, not one of us noticed what she did in less than a month."

"That's right, she was polite and respectful but the company could be at stake because of our negligence, what right do we have to complain?"

Their opinions were divided into two as they disperse, returning to their own stations.

"Don't you think that something was odd?" Loren couldn't help but to whisper to Will.

"What do you mean?"

"The way she addressed the president, it's like he was not her superior at all," Loren explained.

"Stop, we have no right to probe regarding their matters, currently I'm just happy that she came. The sales are indeed falling and the stocks of Capa is slowly declining," Mark started saying.

"Now that she addressed this matter I can say that Capa will start climbing up again," he finished.

Amber sat tiredly on her chair upon returning to her office, she never thought that the matter was this serious.

SNN didn't encounter this much because she was there from the start but this time despite receiving the reports, she was actually negligent as well. Not focusing on it.

She leaned back as she massaged her temples, 'Dealing with all these companies is truly tiring.'

Just then the door were slammed open.

"Are you going to make these ones have lesser production?" Hayley suddenly barged in her office, throwing her designs on Amber's table.

It was a week after the last deadline and she was able to finish it much much earlier but just as she was happily skipping towards Amber's office, she heard from the sales department of the production of her designs.

"What do you mean?" Amber asked as she look up from the mess Hayley created.

"I have heard that you have my designs production to 25 percent of the original. Why? Why did you lessen it that much?" Hayley was on the verge of tears.

Amber sighed as she started fixing Hayley's drawings, she looked at them and mentally sighed again.

It was still the same, lacking the usual life.

"Hayley, this is a transition for the company. I wish for you to wait for a month. Wait for the transition," she patiently asked.

"If it is for the transition, why only me? Why not the others as well? I am one of the pillars right?" she asked hurt.

"That's right you are one of the pillar, that is also why we need Capa to stand on its own. Without relying in only a few people but instead as a whole."

Amber started feeling her energy leaving her, but compared to the side effect this was different.

She was also feeling cold.

Hayley turned silent before she slowly nodded, "I understand, I'll wait then."

She turned and left.

But Amber could see that she was still hurt and didn't really bought her explanation.

She leaned back on her chair as she started feeling dizzy and closed her eyes.

Hayley who just took a few steps was shock as she stared at the man who came. He nodded at her before he went straight to Amber's office.

Amber felt a cold hand on her forehead, "That's nice.'

She opened her eyes but it was still blurry.

"Ash? Did I miss you too much that I am seeing you right now?"

That's when she finally lost consciousness.

"This girl really, she went ahead and overworked herself again," Ashton sighed.

Tomorrow was the weekend so he finished everything early and came here on this day and was planning on returning at the evening flight on Sunday.

He was already planning on coming when she first suggested that she wanted to drink from Alissa.

It was just the second day of her arrival and she seemed to have been troubled already.

But he too was being busy so he didn't have the time.

Now that he did, he was glad he came, if not she would have slept here and woke up in here as well.

"It seems that Hayley didn't notice this at all," he commented as he carried her.

Upon stepping out, Hayley, who decided to stay, was shock to see him carrying Amber.

"What happened to her?" she couldn't help but ask.

"I don't know what happened to you, but if you really care for her, you would have noticed that she was not feeling well. It seems she lost consciousness the moment you left the room."

Hayley was not his friend, Amber may care for her, but he cares for Amber more.

Now that this happened adding to the fact that one of her problems was Hayley, he had no plans on being nice to her at all.

"I'm sorry," Hayley instantly said while feeling bad.

"If you really are, then try and check yourself, no one would stay the same for almost ten years. All of us will change, even just for a bit."

He walked to the elevator while Hayley watch his back in confusion.
