224 Face Him Head On Now

Amber could only sigh.

Their morning ended with a heavy atmosphere.

Amber returned to her room and started having calls.

"How is it going?" she asked.

"Well we already got everything ready, even the place is ready," the other side answered.

"Very well, let's proceed then. It is time to go for the next level of the plan," she answered with a serious look.

She may still feel bad about what had just happened but she has no time to be depress about it.

Since the Empire already knew of her, she can only speed up her preparations.

It was already afternoon when someone knocked on her door.

Her family's picture in the necklace were projected in the wall when she opened the door.

And there stood Samantha and Alissa, they brought some pastries and coffee.

"We really didn't have the chance to chat since meeting each other, wouldn't it be nice to have it now while we are free?" Samantha said with a smile to which Alissa nodded her head.

"Come in then," Amber said as she made way for them.

They were then in awe upon seeing the projected picture.

"You really have beautiful parents," Alissa complimented.

She tried searching for pictures about her parents but it seems that everything was deleted, she couldn't find anything related to Nathan and Sarah Price.

"Our genes are pretty strong isn't it?" she said with a sad smile.

Before looking at Samantha, "And I can say that the baby you are carrying will surely have the same wonderful appearance. Just look how beautiful you are as well."

Samantha chuckled shyly, "Come on I can't be complimented by someone who has earth shattering beauty just like you."

Amber smiled and touched her face, "But even this was a double edged sword. You really can't have a peaceful life having this kind of face. I sometimes think if I could just have plastic surgery but then..."

She looked at the picture, "I would no longer have the face I inherited from them if I did that."

"I really am selfish, I didn't tell them everything then now I didn't want him to join when he has the same rage inside him as I do. Somehow I just couldn't."

Amber looked at Samantha and touched her still flat stomach, "The first day I found out about its existence I have vowed that I will bring him back to you and make sure that his life will no longer be placed in danger."

The other two remained listening, she was pouring things she couldn't in front of her brothers.

"But, there's also the factor of him being a doctor."

She took hold of her cup and drank from it.

"Were you aware? That he inherited our mother's kindness towards life?" she asked looking at Samantha.

"When I rescued them and the three of us raised our guns and pulled the trigger, his shot wasn't as solid as Timothy and me. He shot the man in the arms and not in the head or the chest," Amber said.

Alissa and Samantha looked at each other.

"Even though they are his enemies, he who loves life couldn't bring himself to take one. He would incapacitate them but he wouldn't be able to kill them. And that wouldn't only be dangerous for him but to those around him as well."

"Why didn't you tell him this a while ago?" Samantha asked.

"He wouldn't accept it of course, you saw just how stubborn he was a while ago. At the same time, he is a doctor. And a doctor is the most needed in a battle," Amber answered before sighing.

"He really didn't know what he wants and took up medicine because of trying to cover up for Timothy, so that their attention would be on him. But subconsciously it was also because of his care for life."

She shook her head, even as a child, Xander would cry when he saw someone trying to catch fish or would kill it.

"He thought I didn't see it, The way his eyes shifted when both she and Timothy killed those kidnappers. He knew they were the enemies but he still see them as life."

"Was Timothy aware of it?" Alissa couldn't help but ask.

"He was aware of Xander's tendencies but I think he didn't notice what happened during the kidnapping. In the end he didn't speak up a while ago, he didn't know where to stand," Amber answered before giving another sigh.

Alissa and Samantha looked at one another before looking at Amber, they couldn't help but to shake their heads.

This siblings really.

They bicker all they want but when they are in a serious situation, the three of them react differently.

Timothy understood the point of one another but didn't know who to side with.

Xander would stubbornly push what he wants without noticing that he himself is lacking at something.

Amber would always take her brothers into consideration without thinking about herself.

Amber suddenly chuckled, "Why not just fight it out with a fist?"

Both stared at her stupefied, "F- Fist?"

"You know when guys were too awkward to talk after a fight, they use their fists to make up right?" she replied in a serious manner.

Both ladies stared at her and blinked a few times waiting for her to say that everything was a joke.

But in the end she just kept drinking her coffee and nodding to herself.

"Uhmm, Amber are you really serious to what you just said?" Alissa asked.

"Of course I am. Both Xander and I would often times fight and it would take us quite a while before making up because of our stubbornness. But there is one time that we fought physically and we made up right after."

Amber's explanation left the two of them with open mouths.

Coming from a lady with such outstanding capabilities and beauty, they never would have thought that they would hear her say things like a gangster.

Amber suddenly stood up, "Alright, shall we get going now?"

Just as she took her first step, the two of them held each her arms and stopped her from walking any further.

"It's fine, you will wake up for sure. You don't have to fight to that point. You both are grown up and surely you'd understand each others point right?" Samantha pulled her to sit down and said.

Amber started laughing, "Look at the two of you, you're too tense. We might end up with that but maybe in a later time. For now, he and I just needs to cool down our heads."

"I'm amazed at how fast you can uplift your spirit," Samantha commented.

Amber shook her head, "I know most of you thinks that I have switches and such because of how fast my emotions change. But I guess it is because of the fact that I grew up doing my best to lift my own spirit."

"Well, you are quite good at doing that yourself. Seeing just how strong you have become," Alissa commented.

"Strong..."

Amber repeated the word before she smiled.

"Well I suppose when you ask Ash, you would find out just how much of a cry baby I am? Being someone who wants to get back at an Empire, I really couldn't show to others my weaknesses could I?"

"No," Alissa interjected.

Amber looked at her with her eyes asking why.

"The fact that you can cry your eyes out and still stand back up is the biggest proof of just how strong you are. You won't be able to stay standing for this long with everything you have experienced if you didn't know when it is time for you to be weak."

"Sometimes our weaknesses are our spring to get back up much stronger, to soar much higher than where we currently are. If you haven't cried all this time, do you think you can still stand right now?"

"If I didn't experience my fall due to that scandal, where all the fans I thought I had suddenly turned their backs on me, I wouldn't know that my heart was not entirely in it."

"I had experienced so many things that made me weak, where I could only fall down on my knees but every time I get past them, I was able to stand stronger than before. Both my heart and my mind."

"So don't deprive yourself of these compliments, all of us could see just how strong you have become or how strong you currently are. But we are also not telling you to just entirely rely on yourself. That is why we are all here supporting you."

Alissa finished looking at her with full determination.

"Explain it properly to your brother, that you need him at the back and not in front. Your honesty of your worry was good but you didn't explain everything to him. You have to tell him that not only because of his child but also because of all of you."

Samantha then said to her looking at her with a smile.

"Well 75 percent was because of his child, 25 percent is because of us," Amber laughed.

She then looked at the two of them seriously, "I guess I'll have to face him head on now. Thank you."
