"So, you're going straight to work?" Stopping at his car, Zoey's lips stretched upward as she held her hands behind her.
"Mhmm," Matthew Xi hummed a tune, glancing at her simple bare faced. He hadn't noticed it before, but the small mole on the other corner of her left eye added allure to her. Her make-up probably covered it most of the time.
"I see..." Nodding in understanding, Zoey watched him unlocked the car's door. "Thank you about last night." After a second of pondering, Zoey thanked him.
For Matthew Xi to stay with him for the night and treated her the same after witnessing one of her craziness, it meant a lot for Zoey. Few could stay the same after seeing her breaking down suddenly. Even Zoey thought she's crazy before.
"I..." Upon hearing those sincere words of gratitude, it tugged some parts of his conscience. To Matthew Xi, this was probably the last time Zoey would see him as someone she initially thought he was.
After all, there was no telling what Zion Kwan would do. There was no reason for Zion Kwan to keep his secret as a secret. Well, not that Matthew Xi intended to keep his identity as a secret. It just happened that it was kept like that.
Still, why was he somehow worried? Perhaps the uncertainty that everything would change after this was his concern. Regardless, Matthew Xi was surprised that this concerned him.
Didn't he want this? That Zoey would stop pestering him? If she knew, there might be a chance that she would pester him more. However, considering Zoey was a businesswoman herself, she would surely draw a line.
"You," Gulping a mouthful of saliva, Matthew Xi opened his mouth as he stared at her clueless front. 'Don't disappear on me just yet.' Was what his mind said.
"Good luck, later." Unlike what his mind whispered, the words that came out from his mouth were far from what he truly wanted to say.
It just sounded so corny. Matthew Xi didn't want to give her a clue of what he had foreseen. He just hoped that Zoey wouldn't change after knowing that he had been unintentionally lying... though the wished probability was low.
"Hehe. Browny, your future wife only has one talent: earning money." Pleased that he was being supportive, Zoey confidently stated with a smile. "I only needed a bit of luck, which already happened. Don't worry about it~" she added, bearing a bright confident smile on her lips.
Matthew Xi nodded in understanding, the side of his lips tilting up. He ignored that she called him that cursed nickname again, maybe because of the gloomy atmosphere surrounding his heart. Without further ado, Matthew Xi then hitched inside the driver's seat and left.
Zoey remained standing on the side, watched the car as it depart the parking space. The smile on her lips slowly faded, and a faint sigh escaped her lips. None knew what she had on her mind aside from her.

"Z, break up with him." As soon as Zoey came to Zion Kwan's office, Zion Kwan didn't beat around the bush and advised.
"Ah?" Surprised at the unusual welcome from Zion Kwan, Zoey looked at him strangely. "Big bro didn't like my browny?" She asked, closing the door behind her.
"No, I just think he's not good for you." Shaking his head sideways, Zion Kwan said. This wasn't a matter if he liked Matthew Xi for Zoey or not. The reason was obvious. The man himself was Matthew Xi — there's no other reason, just that.
Considering Zoey's personality, once she had her fun, she would surely throw Matthew Xi out of her life. Zion Kwan was afraid once that happened, Zoey would have to face a much dire situation than the current one: Richard Sun.
Matthew Xi would surely bring Zoey and the Z Image Group's downfall. That's why Zion Kwan needed to prevent this because even he couldn't help her if that happened.
Not good for me? Big bro, you're acting really weird today." Zoey narrowed her eyes, sizing Zion Kwan up suspiciously. Zion Kwan never meddled in her love affairs — well, he did once before.
"Don't tell me you like my boyfriend?" Zoey asked, perking her chin up as she crossed her arms.
"Zoey..." In distressed at the ridiculous assumption of hers, Zion Kwan frowned. Raising his gaze, Zion Kwan decided to tell her the truth. "It's because..." however, just as he was about to tell her, Zion Kwan stopped upon seeing Zoey's expression.
"What?" Zoey arched her brow, tilting her head to the side slightly.
"Do you like him that much? No, don't tell me you're in love with him, Z." Heaving a heavy sigh, Zion Kwan stared at her and wished to have some honest answer.
Zoey didn't need to tell him verbally. Zion Kwan would understand her with just her expression. Hence, he hoped that she would show him even a bit of hint.
"Big bro, I have to go. I can't push my luck with that freak. Anyway, thank you for your help. I'll surely treat you to dinner next time." Instead of answering Zion Kwan, Zoey smiled as she turned and waved her hand.
"Z..."
"I don't know but I like him, that's for sure." Stopping in her tracks, Zoey didn't turn to face him but answered. After that, her tracks resumed and left the office.
"Zoey..." As soon as the door shut closed, Zion Kwan murmured. Zion Kwan realized that he was too late. Although he wasn't certain if Zoey's feelings towards Matthew Xi was a mere brief like or love, what he was certain was Zoey was already attached to Matthew Xi.
It was worse than Zion Kwan expected. Therefore, even if he said that Matthew Xi was the real Matthew Xi, it wouldn't matter anymore.
Thus, Zion Kwan let Zoey find out for herself. She's a smart woman. She'll know even before they realized.

Meanwhile, when Zoey exited the office, a heavy sigh escaped from her lips. She remained silent for a good one minute, just standing while resting her back against the door without a word.
Shortly after, Zoey picked up her phone and dialed her lawyer's contact number. As soon as the line connected, Zoey spoke. "Attorney Chan, I'll be a little late. Please start the meeting without me.." With that said note, Zoey hung up and resumed on her strides.
