Sarah stared at the food served on the table. Each dish, although Sarah didn't make all of them, she helped the chefs to prepare everything. She wanted to be part of it since she wanted to fill Zach's stomach.
However, he couldn't make it. The worst of all was, he didn't even talk to her. Zach just left a message just like that. Sarah didn't know what to feel at the moment as all overflowing emotions were surging inside her heart.
"Madam," The worried Jean came forward, darting her eyes on the untouched meal to Sarah's back before she sighed. "You should eat something for the baby. I'm sure the master just didn't have a choice."
Jean added, trying to cheer her madam up. However, Sarah was unfazed as a bitter smile resurfaced on her face.
"Jean, can you wrap some of it?" After a long silence, Sarah finally spoke as she glanced at the maid.
Jean pursed her lips in a thin line, a little reluctant to abide on the order as she guessed what was on Sarah's mind. "Madam, it's late and --"
"Jean," Before Jean could finish her sentence, Sarah called out firmly. "Please. Just do what I've told you."
For a moment, Jean went silent and studied the firm expression plastered on her boss. After a beat, she bowed her head a little.
"Yes, Madam."
With that being said, Sarah got up from her seat and went to her bedroom. Meanwhile, Jean wrapped a generous portion of each dish.
Minutes later, Sarah went back to the dining area with a paper bag in her hand; a set of new clothes for Zach. Jean was already done wrapping the foods and was standing near the table, waiting for her boss to pick up the foods.
"Madam, it's late. It's not good if you go out with your current condition." For the last time, Jean reminded Sarah out of pure concern.
Well, Sarah was told to keep her movements to a minimum. This was her first pregnancy and she would constantly feel dizzy. The reason Jean was worried about Sarah going out to see Zach.
"Thanks, Jean." Sarah only offered a meek smile before picking up the paper bag full of food.
Without further ado, Sarah left the dining room. Jean followed behind, fiddling with her fingers as she wanted to stop Sarah. However, deep down, Jean knew that Sarah was determined and nothing could stop her from seeing Zach that night.
And thus, Sarah left the mansion. Jean couldn't do anything. If only she successfully stopped Sarah, all the occurrences that would change Sarah wouldn't happen. If only she had the power to stop her boss… but, she was powerless.
All that poor Jean could do was watch Sarah get in the car before the car slowly sped away.

Meanwhile, in the emergency room at Zach's current workplace...
"Feeling better now?" Zach asked, holding Beth's hand as his thumb gently caressed the back of her hand.
"Mhmm," Beth hummed a soft tune, nodding her head as she blinked her eyes weakly. "I'm just tired, I guess."
"I told you, you should refrain from doing the housework. I can do it when I come home." Zach sighed, his tone was purely out of worry and sincerity.
Beth was rushed to the hospital because she had fainted. Good thing Zach just arrived when that happened. He didn't want to think what could have happened if this happened with him not around.
Although he promised to see Sarah, Zach still loved Beth. He cared for her and the child in her womb; it's their child, after all. He just didn't want to tell Sarah about the real reason he couldn't make it because… Zach didn't know why.
Probably, it was because he was used to lying that he decided it would be better to lie again. Also, in his mind, he was being considerate to Sarah because it would hurt her if he said the real reason.
"But, you're busy with work." Beth weakly shook her head sideways, showing a subtle smile as she held on his hand. "But, I won't force myself. I don't want to put our child in danger again."
She added while staring at him. Zach sighed heavily and nodded.
"Please do. Take a rest, I'll still be here when you wake up, okay?" Zach patted her head, offering a loving smile which made Beth smile back.
As Beth closed her eyes, Zach placed a soft peck on her forehead. Beth moved a little, finding a comfortable spot before she fell asleep with Zach holding her hand.
For a long time, Zach stared at his fiancee. Beth seemed stressed. Maybe, because of how rough their relationship had been lately. Their relationship had been going up and down, one second they were good; then, all of a sudden, they were arguing.
But as he looked at her, his heart melted as he felt bad for her. He realized that Beth was being like this because he was changing as well.
With Sarah in the picture again, he couldn't spend as much time talking and be with Beth. Before, Beth was only competing with his hectic schedule at work, but now, he had to split his time with Sarah as well.
Beth wouldn't be paranoid if he wasn't acting sketchy in the first place. Thus, part of Zach wanted to be nice to Beth so she would be stress free. He was truly worried because Beth was pregnant.
'I could think of an excuse to tell Sarah… or maybe, I'll tell her the truth. She will understand, Zach.' Zach thought internally, nodding his head in determination because having two women in his life whilst his busy work, Zach knew twenty-four hours was not enough.
When Beth was deep in her sleep, Zach carefully pulled his hand away. He wanted to breathe in some fresh air. However, just as he stood up to turn around, He found Sarah was standing on the entrance, carrying two paper bags.
Upon laying his eyes on Sarah's figure, Zach's eyes widened. He saw her shift her gaze to Beth before Sarah shook her head and turn away, walking away.
"Wait, Sarah!" Without thinking much, Zach exclaimed as he rushed to follow Sarah. Little did he know that Beth woke up because of it and saw a glimpse of Zach rushing outside and a woman's back.
'Sa -- Sarah?'
