Chapter 604 - Sixth Commandment XVII

"Za...ch?" Baffled at what was going on, Beth called out softly. Her vision was blurring as she felt lightheaded. In fact, she didn't know what was going on.

"Beth!" Zach shouted; his voice echoed across the entire villa. "How could you!"

Due to the overwhelming emotions surging inside him, Zach was lost of words. Even the assault he had done, it didn't quench his anger.

"Zach, honey, I…" Despite the confusion, Beth called out but as she was about to ask why he was mad, she realized that she was naked.

Slowly, she moved her gaze and saw a familiar looking man she knew. He too was unclad, baffling her before her eyes widened in realization.

"Zach, it's not --"

"Since when, Beth?" Zach put up his hand, interrupting her midway.

"No, it's not what you think!"

"Not what I think?" Upon hearing her last remarks, Zach chuckled in mockery. "Do you think I'm stupid?!"

Zach shouted once again, startling Beth as he grabbed her wrist up. He tightened his grip as his eyes were bloodshot.

"No, Zach. It's… I don't know him!"

"Hah! Really?" Just as Beth denied the man's existence, the man that Zach had seen with her chuckled as he glanced up.

"We're busted. Shouldn't we come clean now?"

The man added in a matter-of-fact tone. Zach was utterly annoyed as he glared daggers at him as he tightened his grip around Beth's wrist. Zach was shaking.

He couldn't think straight as he thought that Beth was also cheating behind him. He was livid.

"Why don't you tell him that the child inside you is mine."

Zach's world stopped as soon as he heard that. No… that couldn't be. So, Beth was already playing around even before then?

Zach's grip on Beth's wrist loosened as he took a step back. He darted his gaze from Beth's pale and in disbelief expression to the man who had his brows arched while staring at Beth.

"Zach, no, it's not. I don't know him and…"

Once again, Beth couldn't finish her sentence as Zach held his hands up. She saw him shake his head sideways before he walked away.

When Zach was one step away from the room, he spoke without looking back. "I don't want to see you again, Beth. Leave while I'm asking nicely."

With that being said, Zach resumed in his strides. Every step he took weighed him down. He could hear his heart sinking as his breathing grew harder.

Karma.

In Zach's perspective, he had done a lot and sacrificed most things to be with Beth. He was ready for divorce before this bright idea of using Sarah to get away from the pressure the Kwan family were putting him in.

At first, Zach didn't want to do it. After all, Sarah had been kind to her and truly loved him. However, Zach knew deep down where his heart belongs to, to Beth. Thus, even though he knew he would hurt Sarah once again, he didn't hesitate to execute his plans.

Little did he know, all those things were all for naught. Beth was probably using him as well. His mother was right all along. Beth was just after his money and status.

As Zach walked away, he was reminded of his mother's words. No woman would want to ruin a marriage without ulterior motives. No woman who could be with a married man despite knowing that he's married was decent.

Beth just appeared to be decent. How could he didn't see through her act?

"I won't forgive you, Beth." Through his gritted teeth, Zach muttered as he looked back at the villa and his eyes glinted.

This was him showing mercy for her unforgivable act. However, if he ever sees Beth once again, he wouldn't be merciful anymore.

Later that evening in the Kwan Mansion…

"What's going on here?" Sarah exclaimed as she walked on the staircase from the second floor.

It was late in the evening and there was a loud commotion all of a sudden. When Sarah reached the living area, Zach was lying on the couch, intoxicated.

"Zach!" Sarah called out, rushing to him as the other maids took a step back. "Oh god, Zach!"

Sarah scanned him from head to toe before she raised her head and commanded, "Get me a warm water and towel! Now!"

Upon hearing the command, the maids bowed their heads and rushed to get the things their boss asked for.

"Why did you drink until you can't walk on your own? How did you even get home?" Asked Sarah as she waited for the towel and water.

Although Sarah knew what could have happened, she didn't expect this outcome. This was dangerous! If Zach got into an accident, Sarah wouldn't forgive herself despite owning the position of the villain in Zach and Beth's love story.

"I asked him, but he didn't tell me why." All of a sudden, Sarah flinched upon hearing Zach's brother's voice from the side.

Slowly, Sarah turned her head towards her brother-in-law in surprise. "Zayne?"

"Sorry. I didn't mean to surprise you, sister. Big brother Zach called me to have a drink. When I came, he's already like that." Zayne shrugged his shoulder as the corner of his lips stretched into a force smile.

"Though, I'm surprised that he asked me to bring him here."

Sarah bit her lower lip as her set up with Zach was only known to a selected people. Aside from the Zheng's, most of the Kwan's weren't up to date to this relationship.

The Zheng knew that Zach and Sarah reconciled. On the other hand, the members of the Kwan's were left in the dark. It was the old madam's request because she knew that Zach was still with Beth.

The world was small. No one was cheating if people don't know that Sarah and Zach were back together.

"It's…"

"Beth…" Just as Sarah was about to come up with an excuse, Zach spoke as he tried to open his eyes with great difficulty.

"Why…?"

Sarah's complexion turned pale as her heart sunk once again. He must have truly loved Beth.

"Zach, you should rest for now, okay?" Yet, Sarah sported a smile on her face as she patted her chest lightly.

"Beth…" Under his breath, Zach whispered.

Pain flickered across Sarah's eyes as her heart was in pain. Although she was mad at Zach and Beth, she still loved Zach. hence, seeing him like this while speaking Beth's name was tormenting her.

Unbeknownst to Sarah, Zayne's hands slowly curled into a fist. "Why do you love this fool so much, Sarah?"
