"Miss, are you crazy?! I already said sorry!" Surprised, the man raised his voice as Katherine continued her hysterical outburst.
"Hah! Is that how you say sorry?! Do you want to die?!" Seething with anger, Katherine scoffed as she cocked her head sideways, cracking it before a fight.
"You low life, do you know who I am?!" She screamed, ignoring the two individuals who were inside the VIP lounge.
"Huh," The man scoffed, in disbelief at how this psychotic girl was running free in the country.
"I am Quin Katherine. Don't you know the Quin Family, ah?! How dare you beggar cross me and pretend nothing happened? Kneel and beg if you're really sorry!"
Katherine continued with her outburst, screaming at the top of her lungs. Zoey and Zion instinctively covered their ears, both baffled as to why they were being victimized by her deafening screams.
"Sh*t! I knew you were going to do this again!" Suddenly, a very familiar voice of a man was heard from outside the VIP lounge.
"Hey, Crazy K! I don't want trouble so can you please try and act as a decent human being? I don't want us staying behind bars tonight, eh?" Another familiar voice came in.
Soon, two figures entered the VIP lounge where Zoey and Zion were trying to chill. Zoey's eyes instantly widened upon laying her eyes on the two males entering the lounge. It was Enzo Li and Kenneth Bai!
'I think Zion's first option on which bar to drink is better than mine!' Zoey stressed internally.
Since Zion's first option was a normal local bar, Zoey was put off as the song that was playing when they came in was a sad song. Hence, she insisted on choosing which bar was good to relax and forget.
However, Zoey had forgotten that this nightclub was also a place for elites like Enzo Li and Kenneth Bai. Also, how could Zoey forget that Katherine Quin was a regular in this place?
Silently, Zoey massaged her temples as Kenneth Bai and Enzo Li tried to calm down the crazy Katherine. Meanwhile, Zion was utterly baffled at these intruders and were just going along with whatever argument that they had going on.
"Gee! This is a VIP lounge and…" Realizing that it was a VIP lounge, Kenneth Bai moved his gaze to see who was the guest in this room.
His eyes instantly widened as he gasped upon setting his eyes on Zoey. Kenneth's reaction caught Enzo's attention and the latter moved his gaze to where Kenneth was looking.
As soon as Enzo saw Zoey, he furrowed his brows. Obviously, he recognized her because Zoey left a strong impression on him that night.
"You're…?" Enzo trailed off, recalling Zoey's name as it has been months since that incident.
"Zoey!" Just as Enzo was thinking of Zoey's name, Kenneth Bai exclaimed. "Thank goodness it's you!"
Relieved, Kenneth Bai glided his way towards Zoey. When he stopped near the table, Kenneth moved his gaze to Zion.
"You are…?" Kenneth arched his brows before he gasped, covering his mouth in disbelief.
"Don't hop to a ridiculous conclusion. He is my brother." Zoey rolled her eyes, knowing Kenneth was quick to imagine silly stuff on his own.
"Are you people done?"
Zoey added, shifting her gaze to the other three that crashed into their room. Her gaze went from the snob heiress, Katherine Quin, then to the young Enzo Li, before her gaze settled on the other man.
'I don't know whether I should thank this party animal, but she surely saved me some trouble.' Zoey muttered internally, knowing immediately that the other person was no ordinary staff.
They said villains could smell their own kind. That's how Zoey knew this other person had come with an ill-intention. Zoey's instincts were never wrong.
"You," Slowly, Zoey rose to her feet without looking away from the man. "Get out of here."
Zoey's tone gave off a different vibe that Kenneth and Zion noticed. Meanwhile, Katherine and Enzo glanced at each other in puzzlement.
"Ma'am, I came here because the manager…"
"Get out," Unfazed, Zoey repeated. "NOW."
Zoey and the man exchanged gazes before the latter took a deep bow and left. Zoey heaved a sigh of relief as her throat suddenly felt parched.
'Nikolai… how dare you!' Zoey's jaw tightened as she recognized the small tattoo peeking through the man's collar.
"Zoey?"
Zoey snapped back from her trance when Zion called her out. "Are you alright?"
"Uh! Yes, of course." Zoey awkwardly nodded, glancing at Kenneth Bai's intrigued expression and then to Katherine and Enzo who seemed surprised.
"He's out. If you want him to kneel and beg for your forgiveness, follow him. Better yet, file a lawsuit against him." Zoey uttered as she stared directly at this wild party-goer named Katherine Quin.
Zoey recalled that in her previous life, Katherine would be engaged with Zion. However, it was never pushed through because Zion and Cora eloped.
She's bad news and her actions just now proved she's crazy.
"Ahem!" Katherine cleared her throat, raising her chin up. "No need. I changed my mind."
She sassed, finding it annoying to continue her outburst after Zoey's interference. Also, she already vented enough that she was calm now.
As Katherine avoided Zoey's eyes, she accidentally glanced at Zion. Zion was not paying attention to her. Instead, he was looking at Zoey with puzzlement and in silence.
"Good. Now, will you leave me and my brother alone?"
"Hehe. Zoey! How can you be so cold! We're friends, are we not?" Just as Zoey coldly told them to go away, Kenneth chimed in with an overly friendly tone.
"Are we?" Zoey arched her right brow, knowing that Kenneth needed something with just his tone alone.
"What? You don't think so?! Didn't we…" Kenneth frowned, hinting to Zoey about how they built their friendship and they both shared each other's little secret.
"Don't worry. I'll let this one slip and this will be a secret. Happy now?" Zoey sassed.
Surely, Kenneth was probably scared that the news that he was still partying despite his promotion in the Bai Clan would leak. Well, it would surely reach the ears of General Bai if Zoey mentioned this to Matthew.
"Really!?" Upon hearing Zoey's reassurance, Kenneth's eyes lit up.
"Z, you don't have to be so harsh with your friends." Suddenly, Zion finally spoke and smiled gently.
"Nice to meet you. I am Kwan Zion, Zoey's big brother. I'm glad to meet my sister's friends. Why don't you join us for a moment?" Zion offered and Zoey gasped in disbelief.
"Sure, Big brother." Without a second hesitation, Kenneth immediately took a seat while grinning at Zion.
"You two can return and have fun. Shoo!"
Kenneth added, waving at Enzo and Katherine indifferently. However, for some reason, Katherine announced.
"I'm staying. I want to get to know Big Sis Zoey more!" She grinned, prancing her way in as if she was walking in the catwalk.
"Uhh… I don't think it's nice to refuse big brother Zion's offer." said Enzo and followed Katherine.
Zoey scoffed, rendered speechless as she gazed at the odd group of people gathered around the table.
"Since when did you become my brother's little brothers and since when did I become your big sister?!" Zoey asked as she gasped in disbelief as these three seemed like they were willing to be adopted right now.
"Just now!" In unison, the three answered and Zoey's face instantly distorted.. Meanwhile, Zion chuckled as these people whom he hadn't known to be his sister's friends were just as interesting as Zoey.
