Chapter 119 - [Bonus ]A Knight In Business Suit

"Young Master, I will have to excuse myself first." Suddenly, Derek broke the stifling silence while Lewis just nodded.

He didn't waste a second as he walked outside, leaving the three to talk. Although he was certain their conversation wouldn't last long.

"Alright." Derek cut off the line as the elevator slid open. He was alone in the elevator when it suddenly stopped after several floors.

His brows furrowed and narrowed when his eyes landed on Bella. He observed her in silence the second she entered. Bella's complexion was rather pale as her trembling hand pressed the buttons in panic.

'Is she alright?' he wondered as Bella stood awkwardly to the other side, forcing a smile when their eyes met.

Just when the door was about to close, it slowly opened once again as a man suddenly placed a hand in between the gap. Derek's eyes glanced at Bella and noticed her reaction and then shifted it to the man outside the elevator.

"Oops. Emergency." The man smiled, fixing his cap as he stepped inside the elevator. However, just as he did, Derek took a large step in the middle and blocked his way.

"Get out," Derek commanded, raising his chin up as his eyes down on him. Thanks to his great stature, he could look down on him.

"Huh?" the man slowly looked up, blinking in puzzlement.

"Wait for the next one," Derek uttered as he pressed the closed button.

"Wait! I need to — there's an emergency —"

"Out." This time, Derek's tone was colder than absolute zero as he jerked his chin up.

"Tch." The man ground his teeth, eyes flickering with malice as if one of his triggers were pulled. "This is not —"

The man's breath suddenly hitched when Derek did a handgun gesture with his fingers, placing it on the man's forehead.

"Do you believe that this can hurt you?" Derek raised a brow as he tapped his finger against the man's cap. He didn't waste a second and took his phone out, calling someone.

"Shoot him if he tries something funny." Derek emotionlessly ordered without taking his eyes off of the man. "I will give you three seconds to go away and leave this lady alone."

The man clenched his teeth, observing Derek's demeanor, to see whether he was bluffing or not. But knowing that there was a high possibility that this man could bluff, he sneered.

That sneer alone was enough for Derek to get some answer. 'He didn't buy it.' He sighed before his eyes glinted dangerously.

"Get out of my way!" The man yelled, thrusting a knife towards him. What this person didn't expect was the person he was assaulting was an expert in martial arts.

Derek immediately dodged the knife and grabbed his wrist, twisting it on the man's back, and pinned him down without breaking a sweat. The man yelled as Derek placed his knees on his back with all his weight until the man dropped his knife.

Bella, who witnessed everything, felt her knees go weak but was too stunned to move. They were just talking one second ago, but then the situation suddenly escalated! She couldn't even think of admiring Derek, who didn't seem to know her but stood up for her, or feel terrified that her stalker had a knife with him!

"Yes?" Derek glanced at her with his phone in front of his ear. "Something came up. Send someone here to pick up a piece of garbage. No, I didn't mean you, but there's another one here."

When Derek hung up, he gazed up at her and asked. "Are you alright?"

Bella pursed her lips, her back almost fusing with the elevator wall before she nodded. "Yes. Thank you."

"Ahh! Let me go, you motherfcker!" The man squirmed underneath Derek, but the latter didn't budge.

"Thank you," Bella expressed as they watched her stalker throwing a huge fit while being dragged away by the hotel staff along with Lewis' men.

Derek only glanced at her with no change in his expression. "You should increase your security."

"I did, but I don't know how he got into my room." Bella gazed down, clasping her hand as her entire body trembled. She was still in her robe as she rushed outside when she sensed something was wrong in her room.

"Then increase it more," Derek advised, as that was just the immediate solution in his head. "If hiring ten is not enough, hire a hundred. Life is more precious than just a few hundred thousand."

Bella gazed up at him, having mixed emotions with this. Not that she expected anything from him. She was already grateful that he helped her in the first place, even though she was too scared to speak a little while ago.

"Let's go. Don't waste my time." He cocked his head in a direction, making her furrow her brows in confusion. "I'll walk you back to your room. You can't just walk around in a robe, will you?"

"Uh." For a moment, Bella was rendered speechless by his straightforwardness. She studied his nonchalant and stoic expression, biting her lower lip as she took a deep breath.

"Thank you," she expressed, as she was just full of dread at the moment. "And sorry if I'm wasting your time."

"If you are sorry, increase your security. I believe you can afford to pay millions a year for that." Derek's attitude remained the same, blunt, but one couldn't really hate him as what he was saying was facts.

"What is your room number?" he asked and then added to avoid misunderstanding, "I'll lead the way. I don't want to walk with a woman in a robe in front of me — it'll hurt my eyes."

"Oh." Bella could barely find her voice with his continuous disheartening remarks as she cleared her throat and told him her room number. Derek only nodded and turned without saying a word, walking in that certain direction, as it was easy to find her room.

Meanwhile, Bella, who was walking behind him, could not help but glanced at his broad shoulders. A subtle smile resurfaced on her lips as she felt very reassured by his strong presence.

'A knight in business suit.... that suits him.'
