A few days passed in Isis' visit and it was time for the family dinner. Isis slipped on a white garment and combed her silky hair. It was her first family reunion in 5 centuries and she wasn't about to walk in looking like a mess.
"You ready?" Osiris asked as he laid his head on his wife's shoulder.
"Yup," Isis replied, "Help me with this?" She handed a gold necklace to Osiris.
Osiris' hand brushed against her skin as he slipped the necklace around her neck, "You look stunning."
"Tell me something I don't know hun," Isis grinned.
The newlywed linked arms and waltzed out of their bedroom into the winding halls leading to another large ballroom at the end of the hall where the meeting will be held. They took a turn and walked into the room. In the middle, a long table stretched from the back of the room to the front with loads of food displayed on the table. Chairs lined the sides of the table all clothed in white covering.
He sat at the front of the table, clothed in a suit in blue, and a wine glass in his hand. At the end of the table, was their mother, she was clothed in golden garments. On one side of the table, was Nephthys and Seth and on the other side, two seats remained unoccupied.
"Hurry, hurry I have an important announcement to say," Geb smiled.
"You always have an important thing to say don't you?" Nut sighed.
Isis walked into her seat and Osiris sat next to her. Isis examined the long line of food on the table. Delicacies Earth could have seen but with a taste that could never have been imagined were decorated with the best topping in the universe. Bottles were filled with the finest wine and music drifted through the air. Isis tapped the table twice and the napkin rose from the table and flew onto her lap.
"Well, I think It's about time I step down," Geb announced.
"You've been saying that for the past 50 centuries since you married me, haven't seen you actually do it," Nut sighed.
Isis picked up her fork and pushed it into the steak on her plate and juice dripped out the sides of the steak. This was a conversation that she wasn't about to involve herself with especially since she wasn't even going to be the next to the throne. It was Seth that was next, at least according to age. She bit into the steak and the meat hit her tongue the taste sending shivers down her spine. She wasn't paying attention but she knew that the meal was probably a hundred and one times better than what her father was about to announce.
