Chapter 271 - Another Lie

"You're okay, Alex?" Sky asks while helping him to stand up. The situation on the floor they landed is quite an in havoc with people screaming and running to save themselves. A few of them also look so lost, and some of them were crying.

The attack from their enemy will evidently be labeled as the terrorist attack sooner by the news. Before they both gonna get caught, Sky needs to bring Alex exit the building without anyone noticing them.

"Yeah. Just my forehead. I think I hit something when I grab on the brick earlier." Alex wipes his forehead using the back of his hand. Then he noticed the blood start to drip on the floor.

"Uh-oh..don't touch it!" Sky said and took out a clean handkerchief from his pocket and handed it over to Alex. "Use this first. We need to get out of here as soon as possible."

Nodded, Alex presses the handkerchief on his wound at his forehead and starts to follow Sky from behind. They both use the crowded situation so that no one from their enemy can locate them.

After ten minutes, they both ended up at the alley behind the building. Panting and huffing before Sky took out his mineral bottle and poured it on the handkerchief that Alex is holding.

"We need to clean up the wound first. I'll get you treated.." He wipes Alex's forehead slowly when he saw Alex winced a little. It's cold outside since it's nearly winter.

"Alright, we should try to get back at the hotel before.."

Screech!! the sound of the tire suddenly brakes, make Sky's eyes turn wide. He pulls Alex's hand before he could finish his sentence and run down the alley.

"Go get them!!" one of the men said before a few motorcycle rider chase them both at the narrow alley.

Unlucky for both Alex and Sky when they end up at the dead-end wall surrounding by the group of the motorcycle. Gulped, Sky shakes his head to Alex. Feeling sorry for not able to make sure they both safely return to the hotel.

"Well, well, well…look at these two rats." said the guy who drove a car earlier.

"Who are you? What do you want?" Sky said. Try to use the appearance as a child to trick them.

"I believe that either one of you has what we want. Now, be a good child, follow us, or rebel and see what will happen to you. You don't want your parent to receive your head as their Christmas present, right?" He was smirking before he widely smiles at his other buddies, and they laughed after that.

Since Alex is a bit dizzy, and his vision starts blurring, he did not waste his energy to utter a single word at all. He pulls Sky's arm, which he then almost stumble on his feet before Sky supporting his weak body with his hands.

Seeing Alex is not in the condition to run again, he decides to follow them. Maybe he can learn who this new 'enemy' has been targeting Kiera and him since long ago.

If his instincts are right, the one who wants to harm them is the same person who wants to harm Miss Lisa years ago. What they really want is the invention of Gen-X. Which means..the three of them.

Of course, they don't know that Gen-X has been used to three different people, and those three also had different skills set, and one of them have been upgraded. He should learn their motive first and deal with it before they could touch Lily.

"Fine. We'll go with you. But! I need treatment for my friend first." Sky said while glancing at the man. He needs to show them that he's the one that they're after and not Alex.

"Get in the car, brat." The guy said and walk to the car door. Someone's wearing a white lab coat, smiling toward them both. It's quite an eerie smile.

"He's gonna treat your 'friend,' little rat." the guy mocking him, and Sky couldn't care less about the mocking. As for now, he needs Alex to stay alive. The explosion earlier could give an internal injury or effect which they can't see with a rough sight on Alex's body.

If anything to happen to Alex. What will he say to his uncle? Sorry, things go south? Of course, he can't give a reason like that. Whatever the method is, Alex needs to stay alive. He monologues alone while seeing the guy start to look into Alex's forehead, and the car begins to leave the city.

They are now far away from the city, and no one knows that they have been gone. All he can hope is Lily's safety, and she could give a solid reason for their parents until he solves this matter.

Lily looks at the opposite road where the ambulance parked, and she saw Caitlin, who's supposed to be his father's fiancee tonight, in the arm of the man who saves her earlier. She squinted her eyes a little.

'So….is both of them related?' Lily then avert her eyes to the entrance of the hotel, where she spots Luna's figure with Raymond, who rushes to the same road as her.

Luna's face looks ashen, and there's a trace of her tears on her cheek. Gasping, Lily had thought of the probability that Luna saw Alex since their floor is on the same level as the ballroom hall.

Feeling anxious, Lily pull the cannula on her arm and run to Luna while a few medical assistance was chasing her from behind.

"Mama!" Lily calls Luna before Luna turned her body around. Shocked to see her baby was there.

"Oh my god!" Luna cupped her mouth with her hand and ran to the girl. "Lily?! Baby, why are you here? What happened? Where's Alex?" she squatted down before she checks on her body.

It's heartbreaking when seeing the girl who she raised all these years in such a state. Her tears stream down while her body was trembling a bit. So, what she just saw is real?? Then…where's Alex? She starts to panic a bit while looking around them.

"Mama…I'm the only one who got kidnapped. Alex is safe," said Lily. Even though she tried to hide her voice, but her expression said that she feels guilty of something that Luna did not know.

"No, Darling. I'm sure I saw Alex earlier." Luna shakes her head and sniffle. Raymond rubs on her shoulder gently, trying to calm her down. "Honey..maybe it's just someone who resembles Alex. Lily said she's was the only one who got kidnapped, right?"

Turn to the man, Luna, weeping like a child who lost their mother. "No…I'm sure of what I saw. I can't mistake my own son." a few people who were there keep looking at them.

Lily bit her lips before her father also went to them. "Lily!" Brian almost feels like dying when he heard someone in the next building is his own daughter.

Run to the little girl, he hugs and carries her in his arm. Feeling thankful to god for letting her daughter stay alive. "What happens? Why there's no one informing me that my daughter was not in the suite?" Brian was questioning his assistant, which then the man lowered his head down. 

How should he explain it? There's no one informing about the kidnapping is because no one was spotted to enter nor to exit the suite. He was sure the security around the young Miss and the young Master is in a top-notch.

"Daddy…I really didn't remember much, but I certainly remember that I sneak out from the suite to go to the banquet alone." Lily creates another lie to cover up their story.

A few seconds later, Jamal was running towards them while carries 'Alex' on his arm.

"Mr. Brian," He huffed and put Alex down on the sidewalk. "Miss Lily…" he stops his word after seeing the little girl on Brian's arm.

"Ah…you almost make me got a heart attack, Miss Lily. I try to find you all over the place." He wipes his sweat, and just now, he noticed everyone looks at him. Curious. But, of course, Lily already send a signal to her robot to hide while she was running away with that handsome guy while finding the exit earlier.

"So, you did lose my daughter?" Brian asks Jamal before Raymond interferes. 

"He didn't intend to. After all, Lily said that she sneakily go out by herself." Raymond was protecting Jamal. He knew Jamal is not a careless person.

Upon seeing Alex's figure, Luna's immediately embracing that little guy while sobbing. "Alex…"

"Mama…don't cry." He said and pats on Luna's back. He's been programmed to be a real person. So does his feeling, which is set on Alex's real emotions.

Seeing how his father and uncle Raymond are about to fight, Lily interrupts, "Daddy…it is my fault. Uncle Jamal is not obligated to protect me, after all. He is Alex butler, remember?"

Brian sighs and walks, passing them but stops in the middle. "You better get Luna out of here before your parents saw how she was embracing my 'son.'"

Hearing that, Raymond turned around and went to both of them, mother and son. "Darling, we need to go. We'll see Alex again later." he also caress on Alex's head, grateful that his son is safe and sound.

"And you..behave, okay? Baby?" Alex nods his head with a smile on his face. A little odds, but Raymond just thought that maybe Alex's a bit obedient lately.

Slowly, Luna let go of Alex and kiss gently on his cheek. "Mama will see you later. Now, behave and listen to uncle Jay, okay? We both love you."

"Yes, Mama. I love you both too." Alex smiled and went back to hold Jamal's hand obediently.
