CHAPTER 453

Liu Xueyi paced restlessly in his luxurious living room, the weight of worry pressing heavily upon him. It was late morning, and he hadn't heard from Andromeda since the previous night.

Just when he chose to let her be and not act like an overbearing boyfriend, things became this way.

At the very least, Liu Xueyi expected that if she was to sleep over at her place, she would send him a text message. He wasn't against that either, but now...

'Is she busy? Did she get lost in her work for the finals? She did say she was going to... ' He shook his head, throwing that thought away.

'No. I asked Jian Xiaofei yesterday, and she informed me they had made considerable progress with the new design Andromeda started with and were going to end it today. If that is the case, did something bad happen to her? Her sabotagers perhaps?'

Liu Xueyi's mind raced with countless possibilities, each one more alarming than the last.

'What could have happened to her? Why hadn't she reached out? What had Rong Bolin found out, and why was he taking time to find her?'

The worst became the fact that each time he called her, her phone stated one funny message: 'switched off'. The hell!

Just as his frustration threatened to consume him, his phone rang, breaking through the deafening silence of the room. With a mix of relief and anticipation, he quickly answered the call, hearing the voice of Rong Bolin on the other end.

"Liu Xueyi, we've found her," Rong Bolin updated him, his voice echoing through the receiver.

At the mention of the news, Liu Xueyi's heart skipped a beat, his breath catching in his throat. "Where is she? Is she okay? Tell me, Rong Bolin, what happened?" he asked, his voice laced with urgency and concern.

A brief pause hung in the air before Rong Bolin responded, his tone slightly cryptic. "Hold your horses, lover boy," Rong Bolin teased.

"Damn it, Bolin. Tell me already. Where is she? How is Andy doing?'"

A short sigh fell from Rong Bolin's lips as he shook his head. Even when Liu Xueyi dated Zheng Ying, his anxiety wasn't like this.

But then again, after going through such hurt and loss, it was understandable if he behaved this way.

"Andromeda is fine, Xueyi. Please calm down."

'I cannot calm down until I am sure she is."

"Fine then! Find out from the culprit herself."

Confusion washed over Liu Xueyi as he struggled to decipher Rong Bolin's words. He was on the verge of scolding Rong Bolin for his incomprehensible response when the front door of the living room swung open, revealing Andromeda standing before him.

"I..."

Sensing the strange purse when he expected Liu Xueyi to go ballistic on him, Rong Bolin scoffed and responded. "I am guessing you now understand. Enjoy your reunion."

With that, he ended the call, leaving Andromeda and her boyfriend to sort things out themselves.

Shock and relief coursed through Liu Xueyi's veins, freezing him in place. He could hardly believe his eyes. With each step she took towards him, the world around him seemed to fade into insignificance. Andromeda, his love, was safe and sound.

Perhaps he had been worrying a little too much, but worrying over a loved one could never be too much.

In an instant, Liu Xueyi's frustration transformed into overwhelming emotion. Unable to contain himself any longer, Liu Xueyi's heart thundered and his steps quickened until he found himself rushing towards Andromeda.

Their eyes locked, a cascade of emotions swirling in the depths of her mesmerising gaze. There, he saw hesitation, longing, and a flicker of surprise mingling together, mirroring his own turmoil.

Without a second thought, he closed the distance between them, his heart pounding in his chest like a battle drum. In one swift motion, he reached out, capturing her delicate form in his strong arms and drawing her closer with a passionate intensity that burned like wildfire.

Andromeda's lips trembled against his touch, a seductive dance of anticipation and surrender. As their mouths collided, the world around them faded into insignificance, drowned out by the consuming whirlwind of raw emotion.

Their lips intertwined, melding in a rhapsody of tender desire and unspoken words, leaving only the electrifying current that pulsed between them, urging them closer and deeper. The taste of longing lingered on their tongues, intertwining with the melody of their shared breaths.

The kiss spoke of their shared longing and their desire to be in each other's arms once more. It was a culmination of the emotions they had bottled up during their time apart. The kiss was a promise that they would never be apart again.

As the kiss deepened, their bodies pressed against each other, their hearts beating in synchrony. It was a moment of pure bliss, of finding solace in each other's embrace. Liu Xueyi's worries and fears dissipated in the face of their reunion.

Reluctantly, they broke the kiss, leaving them breathless and panting, their eyes locked in a gaze filled with love and relief as they smiled at each other. Liu Xueyi pulled Andromeda into a tight embrace, his arms encircling her protectively.

"Never, ever scare me like that again," Liu Xueyi murmured against her hair, his voice filled with a mix of admonishment and unyielding love. He pressed his lips against her forehead, savouring the feel of her warmth against his skin.

Filled with remorse for how worried she had left him, Andromeda whispered, "I'm sorry, Liu Xueyi. I never meant to cause you to worry. I'm here now, and I promise I won't let anything like this happen again."

"Promise?"

"I do. I'm sorry."

"Shhh... Do not speak. It's okay. I am not mad at you. Just scared and worried," Liu Xueyi confessed.

A soft smile spread across Andromeda's lips at his confession. She was selfish in chasing after what she wanted but everything she did was for their own good.

Exhaling calmly, she wrapped her hands around Liu Xueyi, pulling tighter into his embrace. "I love you."

Their hearts beat as one, united against any obstacle that dared to threaten their happiness.

As they stood there, wrapped in each other's arms, time seemed to stand still,? giving them this moment before they were plunged into the reality of this accursed world.
