Chapter 6 - Retreat to Hope!!!!

"I knew Riku wouldn't come!"

I, who was waiting in front of the station's ticket booth, checked the time and sighed.

"Looks like I'll have to go to Ayana's alone..."

I don't know what happened to them. But the point is, I don't want to leave my precious friend just because I don't know. I'll do what I can.

Especially from Riku's reaction, I think something happened that I can't imagine.

When I gave up and started to leave, thinking that Riku wouldn't come.

"Kana! Wait for me!"

"......Riku, you came! Huh?"

I turned around and there was Riku, sweating as if he'd just had a bath.

"You came? But why are you sweating?"

"I ran ....... I mean overslept. Your schedule is late."

"Slept, you say? Ah, whatever."

Riku took a breath and walked over to me.

Somehow ...... I felt a different atmosphere than before.

"Alright, let's go. Kana."

"...... That, have you changed?"

"Ah, you know what? I cut my fringe a little."

"Owh, but that's not what I meant. Previously ...... Riku was a shadow who walked behind others. But now I feel like you can walk on your own two feet."

When I said that, Riku seemed to think about it for a moment and then said something as if he had an idea.

There was no lie in those words. Riku's face looked very clear.

We went through the gate and onto the platform, and a train had just arrived.

Then Riku looked at the train and said

"──── I can't do it anymore, I want to die."

What, he didn't want to jump, did he?

I glared at him slightly, but he remained aloof. Who the hell is this guy?

But when Riku walked towards the train, he looked very determined.

The way he walked was already impressive, and there was no hesitation at all in his mood.

"Kana."

"Hm?"

"Let's go pick up Hoshimiya."

"Oh, oh..."

I was a little nervous when Riku said it clearly with his straight eyes.

I felt such power from him, as if a core had passed through.

He has become a different person than the one I met before.

I don't know what happened to Ayana and Riku.

Or maybe I'm not supposed to know.

But from Riku's current state, I feel like I can trust him and give up everything. ....

I firmly believe that I can trust him with my life.

Then Riku got on the train and the door closed....

"What? Why did you get on, you idiot?! You got the wrong train, it's the other way!"

"............Eh?"

Riku turned around. He and I looked at each other through the door.

"Get off, idiot! Why did you take the wrong train?"

"No, no! I thought it was this one because the atmosphere was good!"

The train left just like that, and Riku was taken to a strange place.
