Chapter 119 - First Date

Li Qin Yao took that bouquet from Zhang Yu Han with her face reddened. "Why did you come over with flowers?" Li Qin Yao whispered, to avoid others from eavesdropping.

"Didn't you say that I'm in probation?" Zhang Yu Han said. "Of course I have to try hard until this probation period ends."

Li Qin Yao laughed at his words. She looked at him with a mischievous look. "But giving me these flowers, are you not worried that I'm allergic?"

Zhang Yu Han's face paled. "Are you?"

"No."

He let out a breath in relief. "Then, do you like them?"

Li Qin Yao nodded. She looked at the bouquet again and smiled. "Zhang Yu Han, thank you."

After a while, she began to notice that her staff has been staring at them and Yin Mei Xuan's curious glance was starting to make her nervous. Fortunately, there were not many customers during this time, or else, Li Qin Yao thought that she would be embarrassed.

Li Qin Yao held tightened her grip on the bouquet and said, "Wait for me for a while. I need to speak to the others first."

Zhang Yu Han nodded and obediently stood at the same spot as he watched Li Qin Yao walked over to the counter where her staff started to gather. He did not have to stand closer with the girls to know that they were going to ask Li Qin Yao about the flowers.

Once Li Qin Yao stepped away, Yin Mei Xuan pulled her aside and eyed the flower in her hand. "I thought you were going to escape. It's good that you still have your conscience. Now spill it. What is going on between the two of you."

Li Qin Yao let out a nervous laugh. "Well, it is just as you thought," she lowered her gaze to look at the beautiful flowers in her hand. "Well, we're seeing each other."

Yin Mei Xuan let out a gasp. She wanted to jump around in excitement, however, since Zhang Yu Han was not far away from them, Yin Mei Xuan held back and instead, her smile grew bigger.

"It's good that you're in a new relationship," Auntie Yu said. "I was worried that you were going to shy away from another relationship after you broke up."

Li Qin Yao turned to Auntie Yu and smiled appreciatively. Li Qin Yao knew that as an elder, Auntie Yu would always worry about her. Auntie Yu was like her mother.

"Anyway, I have to go," Li Qin Yao said as she turned to Yin Mei Xuan. Then she turned to Qing Kong who stood silently beside everyone else. "I'll come again tomorrow to discuss something with you."

"Is there any problem with my work?" Qing Kong asked hesitantly.

"No. Don't worry," Li Qin Yao smiled reassuringly. "I'm going to Capital City for a few days next week. I'll discuss it with you tomorrow."

Li Qin Yao stayed to talk to her staff for a couple more minutes before she walked out with Zhang Yu Han. Zhang Yu Han opened the passenger's door as usual before he went to the driver's side.

"Where are we going?" Li Qin Yao asked.

"Let's grab something to eat first," Zhang Yu Han said. "What do you want to eat?"

Li Qin Yao gave that question a thought before she replied, "I heard that there is a night market not far away from the site. Why don't we go and walk around?"

"Alright," Zhang Yu Han nodded. Though he was a bit disappointed that the two of them won't be having their first date together at a luxurious restaurant together.

Previously, he had browsed a few websites for a first date recommendation and most of them would suggest steak or any western food. Having a candlelight dinner with relaxing music with just the two of them sounded very romantic.

However, since his girlfriend had said that she wanted to grab something to eat at a night market, Zhang Yu Han could only comply.

Zhang Yu Han parked his Cayenne in an area before the two of them walked to the night market area. As the two of them walked further into the night market, Zhang Yu Han began to notice that there were too many people and the crowd continue to build up.

Subconsciously, a deep frown appeared on his face. Zhang Yu Han glanced at the petite woman beside him and began to worry that he might lose sight of her in the crowd.

As he was worrying over things, Zhang Yu Han felt warm around his palm. He looked down and saw that Li Qin Yao had linked her hands with his. Zhang Yu Han stared at their intertwined fingers and then lifted his head to meet her gaze.

"This way we won't lose each other," Li Qin Yao said and smiled.

At this moment, he thought that having their date at a place such a place was not too bad at all.

A few seconds later, Zhang Yu Han found himself being tugged away until they arrived at a less crowded place. The two of them went hopping between the stalls to try a variety of foods and chatting.

Of course, most of the topics discussed were about the tourism city.

After walking for a while, the two of them picked a bench to sit down. Seeing the way Zhang Yu Han was blowing to cool down the food in his hand, Li Qin Yao took out her phone and took a few selfies of herself. In the background was the night market scenery and a side profile of Zhang Yu Han.

After a while, she posted the picture on her moments.

To others who might never see Zhang Yu Han with her together, the picture might appear as if Li Qin Yao was enjoying some street snacks alone and coincidentally, a passerby was in the shot.

However, once Han Yue Xiu saw that picture, she immediately sent a message through a private chat.

"Yao Yao! What am I seeing? Why are you together with Mister Zhang enjoying some snacks?" Han Yue Xiu asked.

"What do you think?"

"Yao Yao! Please don't make my imagination run wild!" Han Yue Xiu waited for a while, but seeing that her friend did not reply, she sent another message. "Don't tell me that Mister Zhang has indeed confessed to you!"

Towards Han Yue Xiu's guess, Li Qin Yao merely replied with a smiley face before she slid her phone into her bag and continued to enjoy a night walk with Zhang Yu Han while her friend was stressing out, waiting for her reply.

Chen Hao was reviewing a few documents on his desk before he decided to retreat to bed early. He grabbed his phone and decided to browsed through the Wechat moments.

He froze once he saw Li Qin Yao's post and stopped to stare at the selfie for a few minutes longer.

His finger traced on her happy smile on the screen.

He always knew that Li Qin Yao was someone who loved eating good food. It's not strange for her to enjoy eating out alone in the night market.

In the past, he would sometimes accompany her to eat out and try various cafes and restaurants.

However, the woman in the picture no longer had any relationship with him.

At that thought, Chen Hao immediately retracted his hands. He took a deep breath to calm down and threw his phone aside before he walked towards his bed.
