Chapter 122 - Han Yue Xiu Entered His Trap

After talking to her grandmother and greeting her grandfather, Li Qin Yao excused herself to return to her room. At the thought that she will need to join the family dinner in a few hours, Li Qin Yao took a nap to preserve her energy.

While chatting with Zhang Yu Han through WeChat, a call from Han Yue Xiu came in.

"Yao Yao, help me," Han Yue Xiu said the moment the phone call was connected. Of course, she did not bother with pleasantries.

"What is it? You're bored to death?"

It was not the first time that Han Yue Xiu would complain that she was bored to death. She had been saying that after two days of staying with her parents in S Country.

"That's not it, but close," Han Yue Xiu said. "It was not me who was bored to death. It's my mom."

"What with your mom?"

"She said she was concerned that I have been staying at home doing nothing ever since I arrived in S Country. Right now, she's arranging blind dates for me," Han Yue Xiu said. "Last night, my parents took me out for dinner, and who would have thought that she would invite her friend and her son."

"Didn't you're the one who said that you don't date without marriage as the future prospect?" Han Yue Xiu laughed. "Yao Yao, I still want to be your bridesmaid!"

Li Qin Yao's face grew warm. "Han Yue Xiu, let's not try to divert the topic. Weren't we discussing your blind dates? Yue Xiu, what are you planning to do about it?"

Han Yue Xiu felt as if she wanted to cry when her friend had turned the topic back towards her blind dates. She did not know how to deal with her parents' arrangement. At this point, she wished to forget about this matter.

"Do you think I should end this vacation and return?" Han Yue Xiu asked. "Maybe if I find another job, my parents would soon forget about this matter."

"Are you sure?"

"I don't know," Han Yue Xiu sighed and pondered over the matter for a while. "But I think that my ex-boss has stopped looking for me. I no longer received his e-mails, and my ex-colleagues have no longer contact me and ask anything about my resignation. Did that person come over to your place again and asked for me?"

"I didn't see him again after he came over last week," Li Qin Yao said.

The two of them chatted for a while longer and hung out after almost an hour.

Once the call ended, Han Yue Xiu reached for the potato chips on her sides and started to binge eating while browsing through the internet and news. She tried to reach for another chip when her eyes caught a piece of news in the business section.

Han Yue Xiu clicked on the news and widened her eyes in surprise.

It seemed that Song Yi's company was in deep trouble. Something went wrong with their server and this problem has been going on for days. Some business journalists caught this matter in and wrote about it, causing the company to go down. If this matter goes down for a while longer, the company might go bankrupt.

Han Yue Xiu's hesitated. She knew that Song Yi was deliberately letting the journalist write something like that about his company to lure her out and return to the company as he had done previously.

It was how Song Yi had persuaded her to end her vacation and returned to work. However, it was during that time that Song Yi had pulled that stupid act on her.

Han Yue Xiu was reluctant.

It took a while until the call connected.

"Hello?" Song Yi spoke. He frowned when the person on the other line did not spoke. He glanced at the man who was standing beside his table and raised a brow. "Hello? Who am I speaking to?"

Han Yue Xiu took another deep breath. "Song Yi, you idiot! Are you really planning to dump everything you work for? I worked hard for it. You worked hard to help to build that system and you're going to let it go just like this?"

Song Yi did not have to guess who was the person on the other line. From the voice and her words, he knew that it was the person he has been waiting for, Han Yue Xiu.

"Why are you doing all this? You do know that others are working under you. They have a family to feed and you're still pulling this nonsense. Whatever you do, I am not planning to go back to the company, alright! Song Yi! I'm very disappointed in you!" Han Yue Xiu said before she hung up the phone.

Song Yi stared at his phone and slowly, his lips curved into a mischievous smile. He knew that Han Yue Xiu will enter his trap.

He lifted his head to look at the man beside him. "Have you found out where she is?"

The man wiped the sweat on his forehead as he tapped his fingers furiously against the keyboard. After a while, he let out a sigh with relief and turned to Song Yi with a big smile on his face. "I got her." He turned the computer screen to face Song Yi and continued, "That person is in S Country."
