Chapter 15 - 15.Magic & Skill

"Now as I said we're basic instructors so we would only teach you guys the basic of things. So most of you guys would have to learn by yourself. Now to answer that rude boy previous questions."

"Although I said that people that have sword or shield mastery can ask Mr. Carlos for instruction it doesn't mean they have advantages over others. There are a lot of ways to interpret sword mastery and although Mr. Carlos is good with sword and shield there is a lot of type of sword and shield. Falchion, Shortsword, Gladius, Claymore, all of this are categorized as sword mastery. Even if he can instruct someone who uses shortsword the same as him there's still a problem of the length of the said sword as everyone has their own preference. So, in the end, every single one of you would still have figure things out by yourself."

"And as Mr. Hubert, said before we're only basic instructor we would not instruct you on how you should develop yourself. I would only help you with basic fighting and how to fight with weapons. The fact that I can instruct some of you it just means that you're lucky. And just for your note, I develop my sword and shield mastery to correspond with each other so if you only have sword mastery I can't help you too much. On the contrary, if you have shield mastery with other weapon mastery like spear, dagger, axes, etc, I maybe can help you a bit as we would have a similar fighting style." Mr. Carlos go into more detail about himself

Mr. Carlos un-summon his sword and shield and step back to stand beside Ms. Layla. Now was Mr. Hubert turns to take the stage; pose a fighting stance and shapeshift his body to be a robust bodybuilder. His arm is shining and has a bit of a bronze luster like copper.

"We would now divide you guys into 3 groups and each of us would teach you basic stuff. I will teach you on mastery and skill. Mr. Carlos will teach basic combat and weapon mastery. While Ms. Layla will teach you magic-related mastery and skill."

Ms. Layla waves her hands and everyone can see water dancing on top of her hand.

"Whooooooooaaaaa!!!" the students exclaim as they see people who can control water and others who can shapeshift his body. Although summoning a weapon is also cool there's a lot of magicians that can hide card and pull them out of nowhere. People who can control water and do real magic, on the other hand, are really out of the norm and pique everyone's 8th-grade syndrome.

"After each lesson, we would rotate the group so others can also learn from other instructors. We would do 2 hours of each lesson today. After that, we would make a scheduled for a class where you can attend if you want to. There would also several more specific lessons later where you can attend so open the school website and check it for any updates. Any other questions?"

"When are we going into a game that the principal talking about?" Asked some nerdy guy on the backline. Imagine his excitement as a person who spent most of his time gaming being told that they are going to play a VRMMO in another world where you can be the main character.

"You can start dive into the tutorial today but I suggest you do that after you have at least some understanding about yourself."

From the back a timid girl who seems awkward raise her hand and stand up like in the military.

"What level are you guys are? And can you tell us how to level up? Do we need to kill monsters or something?"

"Yes we can kill monster and level up that way but no that is not the only way to level up. You would have a better understanding after you dive into that world. You can learn all that information in the library. As for our level let just say it's double-digit"

"I think it's better to divide them first into 4 groups and let one of the group read in the library. Most of their questions would be answered by then so we don't have to babysit them so much."Ms. Layla suggest to Mr. Hubert

"I'm down with that as we can focus more on each individual as we have a smaller group. The downside is we would have to do the lesson 4 times instead of 3. What do you think, Carlos?"

Mr. Hubert agrees as he looks at his college. Mr. Carlos nodded his head and look toward the Principal asking for his acceptance.

"Okay, those who want to do some fighting practice can follow Mr. Carlos, those who want to learn some basic magic can follow Ms. Layla, Mr. Hubert for mastery & skill application, and those who want to read can follow me." The principal said making the auditorium full of rambling and people moving to different groups.

"What are you kids going to do first?" Anna asked her group, breaking Albert train of thought

"I guess I would read in the library first. Without any information, the lesson that they gave would not be optimal."

"Oh, I do not think that way. I guess it makes sense luckily I did not dive headfirst into Ms. Layla's class as that class seems to be the most complicated one." James chip in

"Well, I already learn the basic so I guess it would not make any difference for me. But I think it would be beneficial for Kana plus it would be more fun if we're stick together."

"Hmph" Kana agree with her sister.

It took approximately 5 minutes for 4 uneven groups of students to form in front of the auditorium. To nobody surprise, Ms. Layla's group is the most crowded one. Mr. Carlos's group consists mostly of buff up type guy and some delinquent. Mr. Hubert's group is kinda well balanced in terms of student composition and amount of students and the group that goes to the library has the least amount of people.

"I think we need to split them more evenly as it would take a longer time to teach them if the groups are massive." Mr. Hubert said to the principal

Before everyone can say anything, Ms. Layla stands in front of her group of students and open her mouth.

"I know that all of you are eager to learn magic as this world doesn't possess that. But the concept of magic is really complicated and reading some basic theory of magic in the library helps you a lot. You can read in the library first and ask some questions that you don't understand in my class later.

After Ms. Layla put her argument her group started to shrink as some of them realize their mistake but most of them still stay in and the groups are a bit more reasonable now.

It's still skewed towards the instructor classes but not by much.

Mr. Carlos's group move toward the open football field, Mr. Hubert moves towards the PE building where the awakening process took places days ago and Ms. Layla group stay in the auditorium.

Along the way to the 4th floor, James asked Anna about her experience in the experiment but it does not help much as she is still in the early stages too. She told him most of the stuff that the morning assembly taught but her VR experience in the tutorial world really pique Albert's interest.

As they arrive at the library their comlink got a new notification informing them. That they are connecting straight into their database and they can read anything that they have inside the library.
