Chapter 76 - Challenge

"Jaehyun, I'll be fine," Jinhee replied.

Seeing Jaehyun walk away after a nod, Chaewon followed after him, and Taehee left Jinhee's shoulder. Not wanting to acknowledge Taehee, Jinhee stepped towards the taxi and opened the back door.

As she entered into the taxi and sat down, she noticed that Taehee got into the back seat, sitting beside her. Was Taehee going to be following her the entire time?

The driver started driving when in an irritated mood, Jinhee questioned, "Don't you have somewhere to go to?"

Staring at Jinhee with a pout and pitiful expression, Taehee voiced out, "I don't. So, can you please adopt me?"

Staring at Taehee with a forced smile, Jinhee answered, "Nope, I can't since I'm too poor to. But with that face of yours, I'm sure you would have no problem finding someone appropriate."

'Now, let's see how you reply to that!'

Taehee's eyes widened as if she realised something and turned towards Jinhee. She spoke out, "Ah! Now I see."

Creases appeared between Jinhee eyebrows whilst she stared at Taehee, trying to guess what he was going to spout now.

With a smiling expression, he patted Jinhee's shoulder as if to comfort her and spoke out, "You're just insecure that with my beauty, I'll leave you. But don't worry, I belong to you exactly like how you belong to me."

'Why is she this annoying? No one can beat her in being annoying!'

"It's not proper to address something that most definitely doesn't belong to you as you," Jinhee stated with a sarcastic smile.

"Well, you haven't yet given a reply to Jaehyun's confession, and instead of being excited, you look rather worried about it. In my opinion, you're just searching for a proper occasion to reject him.

Taking you into consideration, I am the only option left for you. Sooner or later, you'll accept me, so in a matter of time, you'll belong to me. Calling you mine in advance doesn't make a difference," Taehee expressed, widening her smile at the end with a mischievous glint present in her eyes.

'How good is this girl with her observations? Moreover, where does she get such confidence from? And how dare she say that there will be no option for me!

I pretty sure I don't look that bad, and my grades are also average too. Maybe it went a bit down for few years but it was improving now!'

"Even if you're the last person left, I won't be choosing you," Jinhee stated, "And I can get anyone I want."

'Why do I feel like I have landed myself in a trap?'

Devilish glint became visible in her eyes as Taehee questioned, "Are you sure?"

Considering that her pride was at stake here, Jinhee could only nod. How much worse can whatever Taehee was planning could get? Most likely Taehee would ask of her to chase after an unapproachable male.

"Chase after me," Taehee voiced out.

Jinhee gaped.

'W-What? Her? Did Taehee take me as someone stupid to go along with that?'

"No," Jinhee replied curtly.

"Is my little squirrel admitting defeat so easily? Now, I know I'm hard to woo, and many are afraid of being rejected. But I didn't take you to be such a coward. I'm disappointed." Taehee shook her head dramatically.

With every single syllables that left Taehee's mouth, Jinhee grew to become more annoyed, and her pride was being stabbed.

"You're such a spineless person, and you're absolutely disappointing for giving up without even trying. All those words you said about being able to get anyone you want was just you bluffing I suppose. You-"

"Fine! Fine! I agree to it! Are you happy now? And I'm not the one who bluffs!" Jinhee exclaimed. There was a limit to how much of attacks she could endure.

"Definitely you're not." Taehee patted Jinhee's head. "You can be difficult and stubborn at times, but by using methods, you can be directed to one's desired path."

Jinhee's eyes darkened, and they glared at Taehee. Most definitely the first person she'd murder would be her.

Turning her head towards the window, Jinhee stared at the scenery outside whilst being determined to ignore Taehee.

"Ignoring me doesn't count as chasing me. Within these four days, you'd have to get me to kiss you. Best of luck with your seduction techniques!" Taehee stated— her tone showing how much of a good mood she was.

Jinhee had no type of attraction towards any girl, and this was going to be extremely tough for her. However, if she lost to Taehee, Taehee's annoying behaviour would only increase. For once, she had to defeat Taehee.

Moreover, the challenge was about getting Taehee to kiss her, but it didn't say anything about both of them kissing each other on lips.
