Chapter 100 - A break

"After that, both of us sneaked out and met a lot of times outside. In the very beginning, Jinkyung was a sweet and innocent girl, and it took me no less than a week to fall for her.

Gradually, when she revealed her true personality, I did not suspect her much. She manipulated and trained me into her loyal dog I suppose by that time.

It is shameful as to how such a man like me was so pathetic. All it took was a cunning teen girl to control me into doing whatever she wanted.

The reason behind Lee Dowon's death and Hyunki's ruin was me. I was the one who protected Jinkyung against all those dirty people in the industry and kept her safe from the rumour.

All those hate towards you online and attacks against you was because of my orders. Under Jinkyung's order, I even killed you at last.

I know, it's absolutely impossible for you to forgive me, but now that I have gotten the chance, I want to change everything. I promise to bring no trouble to those you hold dear and make up for everything I did in my past life."

Everything Taeho voiced out made Jinhee overwhelmed with the emotions, and she did not know how to process her thoughts properly.

"I-I think I need a break."

That's all Jinhee said before running out of the café with various kind of thoughts rising inside of her mind.

°°°

She had been walking for a while now, and her legs started to ache. The sky was getting darker, and the people on the beach was gradually decreasing.

Before going to the hotel room, Jinhee decided to sit by the vast body of water and calm down her thoughts. As Jinhee sat down on the sand, she felt the wave of water hit her leg; The feeling was quite pleasant to her.

Everything Han Taeho told her today was not something she had ever expected. No matter how many times she thought about it, she was confused as to how such a man was manipulated by a girl like Jinkyung.

Jinkyung might be smart when it comes to studies. However, her smartness is not to the extent of being able to control a man like Han Taeho completely.

There must be an unknown factor behind it.

Absorbed in her thoughts, Jinhee was bought back to the world when she heard an unfamiliar voice call her, and as she turned back, she was turned to see a knife directed towards her.

Her eyes widened when she noticed an angry female heading towards her with a knife in her hand, and before Jinhee could respond properly, she felt the knife almost touch her.

Blood dripped on the golden sand, colouring it in a shade of red.

°°°

A ominous feeling within Taehee rose, and searching around the beach, she 1 finally spotted Jinhee. Seeing Jinhee's face filled with distress, Taehee almost reached out to her, and the sudden desire to take it all away bloomed within Taehee.

However, 'she' could not do it, not when Jinhee hated her, and seeing Taehee would only trouble Jinhee further. Watching and protecting Jinhee from further was the only thing she could do.

Taehee's eyes sharpened when noticed an unknown girl, wearing a smirk, was stepping towards Jinhee, who was seated on the sand.

The object in her hand glimmered due to the sun, and Taehee's eyes widened when she noticed that it was a knife. Not wasting a second, Taehee ran towards Jinhee with maximum possible speed, and the fear within her increased by each passing second.

'Please, please let me be fast enough!'

The thought of Jinhee being hurt increased the adrenaline within her, and when the sharp edge of the knife was about to touch Jinhee, without a second thought, Taehee held the tip tightly with her hand.

A look of relief flashed in 'her' eye for a second.

'I have stopped it; I have stopped her from inflicting any harm on my little squirrel.'

'Her' blood dripped down on the sand. However, that wasn't Taehee's concern at this moment. Turning back, Taehee saw the shocked and scared expression on Jinhee's face.

Jinhee stood up from where she was seated at previously, and her eyes were widened due to horror. Her legs shivered due to how afraid she was.

Taehee's eyes darkened, and one look at her at this moment was enough to make one have chills down their spine. 'Her' current expression was enough to imprint fear into many!

Using appropriate force, Taehee pushed the knife away, and the impact caused the girl to fall down. Facing Taehee, the girl seemed to afraid, and her hand was trembling.

"What do you think you are doing!?" Taehee questioned— 'her' tone being octaves lower— as 'her' eyes glared at the female in front of 'her.' Taehee is a boy, but she will be used until Jinhee finds out or she comes out of her disguise
