Chapter 168 - Being unfair

Lee Jinkyung scoffed.

"Jinhee, this is being unfair. Just because he has feelings for you, doesn't mean that you can use them," Jinkyung spoke out as her eyes glowered at Lee Jinhee.

"Is caring for a friend wrong? I don't want my closest friend to end up with a bitch. Is there anything wrong with that?" Lee Jinhee raised one of her eyebrows.

"Yah! Lee Jinhee, whom are you calling a bitch? You're the one who should be called that due to your current behavior. Not only are you threatening me, you're also denying to meet our parents who are worried sick for you," Jinkyung said.

Jinhee leaned back against the couch, and a smirk sat upon her face.

"Alright then, I'll give you two option then. Either I'll tell Kim Jaehyun about true behaviour or…"

Bending her back, Jinhee leaned closer to the table, and staring straight at Jinkyung with an amused look in her eyes, Jinhee continued, "You confess to Jaehyun on how you love him."

After that, Jinhee leaned back again casually, and looking down at her nails, Jinhee added, "After all, for how long are you going to love him in secret like a coward?"

The rage within Lee Jinkyung continued to grow, and if she could, Jinkyung would have beaten Jinhee up to wipe that amused expression out of her face. 

Jinhee was not oblivious to the current expression on Jinkyung's face or what she was feeling. Looking at how much Jinkyung's face reddened, Jinhee wanted to burst out laughing, but she restrained herself from doing that.

At first Jinhee hated the fact that Jinkyung was coming over, but now, she was really enjoying this. If Jinhee could, she would keep Jinkyung over here for days and torture her like this for days. That would probably decrease the grudge Jinhee had against Jinkyung slightly.

"Lee Jinhee! You can't threaten—"

"Let me turn on my recorder and then, you can start yelling. After you're done with that, I'll be sending it to our Jaehyun Oppa so that he can see your true side."

Turning on her phone, Jinhee swiped across the screen and clicked on the recorder. Lee Jinkyung gritted her teeth whilst her eyes glared at Lee Jinhee. She tightly clenched on the materials of her cloth.

"Calm yourself down, Jinkyung. You bought this on to you. I told you to not challenge Jinhee repeatedly! But you went ahead with it. She will be joining school soon and will take care of Jinhee. There was no need for you to meddle into this! I don't even know why you're this stupid," The voice inside of her head scolded.

Jinkyung kept silent and did not reply to the voice inside of her mind. The voice was right, but she couldn't let Jinhee trample on her pride repeatedly. When Jinhee was laughing fullheatedly, she can not be the one suffering. That was not something Jinkyung could accept.

"Because of your impulsiveness, both of us are going to face ruin!" The voice in her head added.

"I don't have all day here. Should I tell Jaehyun about your true character or will you be confessing to him?"

Jinkyung scoffed.

"You can complain to him on how I'm bullying you. Jaehyun Oppa won't be that much of a fool to believe you," Jinkyung voiced out. On her face sat a sneer.

Nonetheless, Jinhee could notice the hint of nervousness; It seemed that Lee Jinkyung was not all confident with her choice. Jinhee's lips curved up to a smirk.

"You won't be confessing to him? Is it because you know he will reject you?" Jinhee sniggered.

"Well, you'll get rejected anyways by him. So, choosing or not choosing the second option is just the same," Jinhee added.

Swiping across the screen, Jinhee found Kim Jaehyun's number and clicked on it in order to make a call to him. As the call was connected, Jinhee turned her phone to show the screen to Jinkyung.

"You Bloody Idiot, you should have chosen the second option! Do you even know how much trust Jaehyun has on Jinhee? Do you like digging your own grave?" The voice in her head yelled at her.

'Jaehyun Oppa doesn't like me, and he will definitely reject me. Getting rejected in front of Jinhee is too humiliating!'

"You Fool, do you even have the luxury to think about your pride at this moment? Even if you get rejected, that's better than him thinking that you're some vicious lady," The voice in her head spoke out.

The voice continued, "Even if he rejects you now, he can love you in the future. However, once he starts to hate and be disgusted with you, there is no chance of him being with you."

Turning on the loud speaker, Jinhee spoke out, "Jaehyun-ah, how is your tour coming along?"

"It's going good so far. How are you now? Due to the schedule, I haven't been able to call you. I'm sorry," Jaehyun voiced out.

Raising her line of sight, Jinhee turned to look at Jinkyung with amusement playing in her eyes and voiced out, "I'm fine currently, and the injuries are almost healed. Are you taking good care of you?"

"Yeah, I'm doing well. What about that Taehee? Is she bothering you?"

Jinhee laughed.

"I can take care of her by myself, Jaehyun. Anyways, I have some important matters to say you. I hope you can trust me regarding it."

"Certainly, Jinhee. You have my trust. Now, what happened?"

"Jaehyun, the thing is that...You know my sister Jinkyung, right? She—"

Before Jinhee could continue, Lee Jinkyung snatched the phone from Jinhee's hand in a moment of panic and confessed, "Jaehyun Oppa, I really love you from a long time."

Hearing Lee Jinkyung's enthusiastic confession, a wide smile formed on Jinhee's face, and amusement played on her eyes. Jinkyung did exactly what Jinhee expected her to do. Considering how easy it was at this moment to annoy Jinkyung, Jinhee really wondered whether or not she was that cunning girl from her last life.
