Chapter 189 - I love you with all my Heart!

Ashley was hungry and can no longer wait for Tiny to arrive. She slowly made her way to the door to peek outside and see if anyone still out there. Sato's office was empty, not a soul inside. 

"Good! They left already." She saunters her way towards the office kitchenette where Tiny was supposed to preparing her lunch. However, before she made it to her destination, Tiny came out bearing a tray full of food. 'Her lunch'

"Ma'am, Ashley! Do you need anything?" Tiny asked as he approaches with a speedy move.

"Nothing, I was on the way to see you. In case you need any help, but it seems that you have it all under control." Her smile was sweet and gentle.

"I told you that you don't need to that for me. I could have done it myself. I'm not helpless, you know!" Said Ashley shyly, while trying to take the tray from Tiny hands.

"I know that ma'am Ashley, It is not like I have anything else to do but sit and wait. It's my pleasure to do this little thing for you. Please, go ahead so you can eat already." He said before continuing to Tanaga's office, still carrying the tray with food.

There was Nothing she could do but to follow him in the office. No sooner than Tiny set the tray down on the coffee table. Her phone that she put on her desk began making a buzzing noise.

She quickly ran to answer the call, knowing it's probably Tanaga. However, when she saw who the caller was, she hesitated whether she should answer it or not? In the long run, she ends up taking the facetime call. It's her father.

She knows her father well. If she doesn't answer once, he will continue calling until she does. Knowing it's her lunchtime and he's not taking time from her work hours.

She didn't want to take the call because she was planning on calling Tanaga while she's eating her lunch. And knowing her father, he would use all her lunchtime and not a minute less.

" Hi, dad! How are you?" Ashley greeted her father with a beautiful and sweet smile plastered on her face.

When Tiny heard her say, dad, he excused himself without bothering her and quickly stepped out of the room before slowly closing the door. He then stood guard outside the door to make sure that no one disturbs her.

Jessie was over the moon when he heard his daughter's voice. "My youngest! How are you? I'm sorry if I'm bothering you during your lunch hour, I was just checking if you have eaten lunch yet? I had made the right decision cause I'm speaking with you now. Hahaha!"

To hear the sound of her father's laughter made her heart grow fonder. She misses them more and more each day.

"I understand, dad. I'm sorry too that it's always the wrong timing when I called you guys. As you know, this kid of yours is now employed and a hard worker at that!. Hahaha!" She banters to make her father feel at ease.

"By the way, dad, do you mind if I call you back. I just need to call my boss first to make a report. After I finish making my report, and I still have time left, I will call you right back." She didn't wait for him to reply, she quickly bid him goodbye and blow a kiss on the screen of her phone, before hanging up.

She kind of feel sad that she had to hang up on her father, but she missed her husband so much that her heart is aching. "Sorry, Dad, I promise- I'll make it up to you." 

Just as she was about to dial her husband's number, her phone lit-up, she quickly slid her fingers with excitement. Tanaga's haggard looking face pop up on the screen. 

Her heart sank, and tears began to form in her eyes. He must have been working so hard for his appearance to be in that predicament. Only if she could, she wanted to give him a tight embrace and tell him how much she loves him. 

Instead, she put on the sweetest smile she could conjure before, "Hi!" She greeted him while waving her hands like a small child.

"Hi! You too!" Tanaga yawned, and she could tell he's tired and sleepy. His eyes were drooping.

"Why did you bother calling? You should have gone to bed first, then call me when you wake up. Look, you can hardly open your eyes!" Ashley's voice mixed with concern and anger while the tears in her eyes were about to fall any minutes from what she's seeing.

"I'm fine! Don't worry, and your husband is strong! Hahaha!" Tanaga bragged as he leaned his head against the headboard of the bed, looking so tired.

Ashley noticed that Tanaga seemed to had just arrived since he has not yet changed his clothes. He was still wearing his blue polo shirt, while his tie was loose and hanging around his neck.

She couldn't help herself from praying that her visa would get approved soon so that she could join him and take care of her husband. He looks so pitiful, and it's breaking her heart.

"Tan, where is Sato? Isn't he taking care of you?"

"Ah, I gave him a day off. He has a family here, and he mentioned it a couple of times while we were on the plane. Since I don't need him today, I let him visit them even if it's only for a day." Tanaga explains to Ashley, who's listening while her face is solemn.

"I see, I wish my visa get approved already, this way I could fly there and be with you." Tears began to fall, for she could no longer hold it in. 

"Me too, how I wish you were here. I couldn't sleep at night because you weren't by my side," Tanaga said softly as he stared at his phone screen filled with love.

"I missed you so much! And I love you with all my heart! Don't you forget that!" Said Tanaga while still staring at her face full of tears.

She was overwhelmed with happiness thas she didn't know how to react after hearing what he just told her. She suddenly thought about her current status and contemplated if she should inform him that he's going to be a father soon.
