Chapter 190 - Cross My Heart And Hope to Die!

Ashley suddenly remembers what Grandma Hanada said about him cutting short his business and run home the minute he finds out. She changed her mind and changed the subject.

"Tan, is there nothing you can do to speed up my visa? Aren't you a friend of the President of the United States of America? Maybe you can talk to him, so I could already join you." It was apparent she missed her husband too much.

After hearing what she said, Tanaga suddenly got into thinking. 'Hmm, it wouldn't be so bad if I asked for a favor, so my wife could join me.' He thought as his eyes slowly but surely closing.

"Alright, first thing tomorrow, I will make an appointment with the President and see if he can help us. Anyway, love ... I'm sleepy -let's talk again when I wake up. I'll call you as soon as I get up. I love you! Bye! Tsup Tsup Tsup!" 

There was nothing she could do but to respond to his declaration of love. "I love you too! Bye, tsup-tsup-tsup!" She swiftly slides her finger to turn off the cellphone.

Ashley loses her appetite after talking to Tanaga. She looked at the time and when she saw that she didn't have time to eat yet ... She gladly called for Tiny to pick up a meal she had never tasted ...

A few minutes later, the door opened, and Tiny entered. When he saw that the meal was still in the same state as when he delivered it, his eyebrows rose, and he glared at Ashley.

"Ma'am! You can't do this to me; you know that sir Hanada specifically ordered me to take care of you. What would happen to me if you get sick for not eating? Please, ma'am, eat at least a bite or two. The baby needs nutrients." Tiny said sternly.

Ashley's eyes widened because she didn't know that Tiny knew that she was pregnant. 

"How do you know? You weren't with me when I went to the hospital. Also, you weren't present when my tongue slipped and mentioned it to everyone at home? So' how? " Ashley asked as she wondered who could have told him?

"Ma'am, Ashley! Do you think I'll let you go out of this building without me knowing? Hahaha! That will not do, or I would be dead if sir Jones finds out. Sir Jones's strict order was unless this building is on fire or Chairwoman needed my help -I can't be far away from you.

"Furthermore, even if he didn't give me such an order, - I promised to protect you, and that's what I will do!" Said Tiny proudly as he stood there still glaring at her for not eating her lunch.

After hearing the declaration from Tiny, she misses her husband more. As much as she wanted to be with him right now, there's nothing she could do but wait. 

She was praying that Tanaga would have luck with the President of the United States of America and help them. She could only pray and hope for the best. 

Unknown to Ashley that her prayer would be heard sooner than she thought. Before she knows it, she would be on the way to the United States of America to join her husband.

"Brother Tiny, I small favor to ask. Please, don't tell my husband yet that we are going to have a baby. I want to be the one to tell him as a surprise when I get there. Do you mind?" Sadly she pleaded with her two hands together.

He nodded with a lingering mischievous smile. "I promise not to say anything to sir Jones. Only if you promise me that you will at least take a couple of bite of that food." His puckered lips were pointing at the tray of food still on the top of the coffee table.

Unbeknownst to them that someone is outside the door and heard the whole conversation, including the part of Ashley being pregnant with Tanaga's child.

*Knock, knock! knock!*

Both of them suddenly jumped and looked at each other with a question written on their faces. 

"Ma'am, Ashley! Sir Tiny, it's Fumika!" She shouted from the other side of the door. 

She did hear part of the conversation -the part when Ashley asked Tiny not to divulge to their CEO that's they are going to have a baby.

She couldn't believe what she heard at first. She was about to knock when she listened to what Tiny said to Ashley. She didn't mean to eavesdrop, but she was so stunned that she hesitated for a moment if she should continue knocking or turned around. 

However, someone came to see her personally, and it seems to be urgent. Therefore, she found her courage and continued to knock so she could inform the lady boss. Now it is too late to back down.

"Enter!" Shouted Ashley from the inside.

Fumika slowly opened the door and poked her head first, before slowly making her way inside. She immediately bowed to pay respect before speaking while looking at the ground beneath her.

"Ma'am, I'm sorry to bother you! But, the head secretary from the legal department is on hold right now and wants to speak with you." She said while visibly nervous. It's cleary showing from the way she's fidgeting and couldn't standstill.

"Fumika, did you hear my conversation with brother Tiny?" Ashley asked as she looked directly at the hesitant junior secretary. Beads of sweat began visibly forming on her forehead. Her hands twisted as her palms started sweating. She answered Ashley's question without looking. 

"Ma'am ... I didn't mean to. I just happened to be about to knock. As I'm at the door. Yes! I heard your good news." She's smiling but obviously nervous.

"But don't worry, ma'am, my lips are sealed. I Promise! Cross my heart and hope to die!" She swiftly followed by placing her left hand on her right chest. While her right hand was raised and it looked likes she's pledging to the legion.

Tiny and Ashley looked at each other before both began laughing out loud. "Hahaha! Hahaha!"

"Why do you look like that your about to cry? I was merely asking if you heard our conversation, that's all! It's fine, because now that you know about it. -I could ask your sir Jones if I can bring you with me to America. That's if it's possible, no certainty yet that he would allow it. Alright!"

"Really, ma'am? Wow! If that happens, ma'am Ashley. My older brother would be glad beyond your imagination. My older brother was sent there by his company, and he really missed us." Fumika excitedly exclaims while still unable to look at Tiny.

Suddenly Fumika recalled the call from the head secretary of the legal department that's currently on hold. She remembers the reason why she was there the begin with.

"Ma'am, Ashley! The legal department head secretary is on the line. Maybe it's about your visa." 

"Really! It could be!" She excitedly got up and went towards her deck to take the call.

"Yes, ma'am! I put the call on hold, and it should be flashing red right now." Fumika explained while still standing by the door.

However, when Ashley reaches her desk, they were no red light blinking on her desk phone. She looked at Fumika's direction with a fazed look on her face.

"Fumika, I thought you said you put the call on hold? I don't see any red blinking light? What happened?"

Fumika scratches her head in confusion. She was sure that she put the call on hold, and it has not been long since she went inside. So what happened then? 

"I'm sorry ma'am Ashley! I really don't know what happened?" She quickly ran out of the room and went back to her desk to check. What she saw when she arrived, had made my eyes widened...
