Chapter 371 - Something's Wrong...

Naomi was angry because no matter what she said to Harumi, she never listened or obeyed. Whether it was to talk to the head nurse and allow her to speak with her mother or anything else in general. That's why her true colors showed, making her curse and insult Harumi multiple times.

When Ashley heard what her mother-in-law said, she could no longer keep calm, as this was the absolute last straw, so she walked over to where they were to protect Harumi.

"I'm sorry, but we can't grant your request. First of all, it's late, and visiting hours are over. Secondly, you are not on the list of people grandma Hanada wants to talk to. We are simply obeying her orders. If possible, please return to the resort first and rest. If you must see and speak with her urgently, come back tomorrow morning, and I will talk to grandma Hanada and ask her politely if she wants to talk to you. We would appreciate it if you do us this favor and stop making a scene. This is a hospital. It's best if you set a good example for others." Ashley spoke, looking directly at her mother-in-law.

Tanaka discreetly smiled, hearing what his sister-in-law had said to his mother. He didn't know she was still so patient, but he also knew that she was probably going to be the only one that was able to shut his mother's mouth. But to avoid any further trouble, Tanaka decided to intervene before his mother could reply.

"Mother, please! Listen to what Ashley is saying. She does have a point. Come on, let's just return tomorrow. Visiting time is over, so it's pointless trying to talk to grandma. You don't own this hospital. So you can't do whatever you want here. So let's just go!" Tanaka reasoned with his mother before pulling her out of the ICU and apologizing to both Ashley and Harumi.

"Ashley, Ms. Harumi, I'm so very sorry if we disturbed you. Thank you for being so patient, but it's best if we just return to the hospital tomorrow," said Tanaka while dragging his mother out of the ICU, and apologizing on behalf for her mistakes, again.

Naomi decided not to fight with him. She knew that Ashley felt hostile towards her, and she was quite afraid of what Ashley was also capable of doing. 

The pain of Fely's slap returned, and she was worried that Ashley would do the same to her if she continued to act like this, she was also scared if Ashley tried to bring Tanaga away from her and ruin her chances of getting the money she so very much desired.

No sooner after they were out of the door, she slapped Tanaka's wrist.

"Let me go! I only gave in to you because we were in front of your sister-in-law. Don't you ever dare do that again, or you'll have a taste of my wrath?" Naomi angrily threatened her son.

Tanaka let go of his hold on his mother's arms and walked towards the elevator without looking back if his mother was following or not. He had enough of his mother's shenanigans. Why was it always him that needed to apologize for whatever his mother did wrong? To him, it simply felt unfair.

The next day, Ashley talked to grandma Hanada's doctor and found out that she could be transferred out of the ICU since her condition was vastly improving. 

However, instead of transferring her to a standard room. They decided to move her to the private facility where Tanaga stayed before to give her some much-needed privacy, while also allowing the whole family to return back to Houston.

Since Tanaga was feeling well, he had a word with his grandmother about it. They had agreed to leave as early as they could, and Tanaga asked Harumi to prepare everything and accompany grandma Hanada to the private facility, and only an hour later, grandma Hanada and Harumi were already on their way to the private facility.

After Harumi and grandma Hanada left by plane, Tanaga was also discharged from the hospital while his doctor flew to Europe to talk to the specialist about the risky cure.

Ashley, on the other hand, was busy talking to the whole family about the arrangements. She had already prepared arrangements to return back to Houston, even though Arnold and Arnel decided to stay in Orlando. 

On the other hand, Ashley allowed them to because Sato and Fumika would also be left behind to help Celia at the convention center.

While everyone was planning and preparing to return to Houston, Naomi, on the other hand, was sound asleep and had no idea what was going on. Only Tanaka knew that the elderly, the couple Ashley and Tanaga, and the twins were leaving for Houston.

Tanaka decided not to let his mother know what the whole family was up to. He knew it would only get worse if they went on the same plane together. While everyone was preparing, Tanaka thought about spending time with the twins. He was not sure if he would see them again when they left and returned to Houston. 

He slowly knocked on the door of the twin's room.

He knew that Inday and Juanita were awake, but he did not want his mother to wake up, so he knocked quietly.

When no one answered and opened the door... He knocked slowly again. 

There was no answer.

He thought they might be in the living room, but no one was there.

He quickly went out to see if they were outside, but nothing either. Tanaka scratched his head as he went back inside the Villa.

At the same time that he was about to go inside the Villa from the back door. It's when Ashley and Tanaga entered at the front door. They had just arrived from the hospital. Suddenly the twins stopped at each other's end of the Villa and had a staring competition.

"Ahem! What? Are you two just going to look at each other?" It was Ashley who interrupted their staring competition.

It was as if someone had poured a bucket of cold water to them as soon as they heard Ashley's voice.

"All right, you two talk first, and I will go to my twins that are as handsome as you two," Ashley said jokingly before quickly kissing her husband first and quickly leaving.

Tanaga and Tanaka were having a serious conversation when Ashley suddenly came back in the living room with a frown on her face. 

"Did you see if Inday took the children out? I just came from their room, but no one was there." Ashley told them as they could see that she was worried.

Just in time for Fely and Jessie to arrive who had just come back from walking outside. They heard Ashley's question, and Jessie answered in return.

"When we left earlier, Inday was preparing milk in the kitchen, and Juanita was with the children in the room. When I asked if Inday wanted them to come with the children, she said they were still preparing to be ready when you arrived so that we could leave immediately. So they should be in the room," Jessie stated, also starting to worry. Something is wrong with the picture...
