“…And that’s pretty much it. I wouldn’t blame you if you didn’t believe me.”
“No, I believe it. I see, so you went through such dangers to save Taula.”
Apparently Taula also told her the gist of what happened with Zwei, but she looks surprised as I tell her the story in more detail.
But that reaction is understandable. I don’t know what it actually is, but Zwei could very well be a being on par with a god. The power of that repulsive field was so incredible, that even I’m surprised that I made it out pretty much unscathed. Although the same can’t be said about Rose.
She believes my story without question. I figured it would be a hard story to swallow for someone from a church, but I’m relieved to see I was wrong.
“Then I can tell you two things.”
“Hn?”
Kahelone holds up two fingers near her face, and continues after I make a somewhat quizzical sound.
“First, Ghan and the others who were resurrected may have used a part of Zwei’s power.”
“Yes, I guess it could be.”
I was so concerned with Zwei’s warning and the possibility of having to fight it directly if I ignore it, that I missed that possibility. My first impression of Kahelone was correct, she really is a very sharp woman.
She seems to stumble and fall a lot, but I guess that has no influence on how great her mind is.
Kahelone folds one finger.
“The other, is that I know where we might find a clue.”
“Ah. The nursery rhyme and points?”
“Yes, Rust.”
Kahelone smiles and nods. Apparently we both deduced the same thing. Maybe that Zwei is after points.
Maybe it’s because we both thought the same thing, but I smile back at her.
“I think it would be best if we had the original source of that nursery rhyme, and I may know where it is. But rather than tell you where Ghan and the others went, it could help you learn their objective.
A better clue regarding their whereabouts would be where to find those points, but unfortunately I have no idea…”
“About that… I do have somewhere in mind.”
I say, as Princess Lily’s face from back when she was the ‘Third Seat of Immorality’ pops into my mind.
