"Is it possible for us (Chen Lihua, Madam Liu, and the Old Lady) to sit at the back seat of the car without getting cramped?" Chen Lihua asked.
She was worried about the space in the car. The car she has been sitting on was a two sitter car, so how could three grown-up women possibly sit in there?
"Mistress, that won't be a problem," K2 replied and stepped away.
"Lihua dear, is there a problem?" Madam Liu inquired. She and the Old Lady have been waiting for her for a while now.
"There is no problem, mother. Longwei asked us to go to the party in the Rolls Royce," Chen Lihua said as she came to stand beside them.
"But there's nothing wrong with the limousine since it can accommodate all three of us. Is there a special reason for that?" Madam Liu inquired.
Just like Chen Lihua, she doubted if the Rolls Royce could accommodate the three of them.
"He said it would be safer to ride in the Rolls Royce than the Limousine," Chen Lihua answered.
"What is wrong with my grandson and his protocols?" Old Lady Liu complained as Madam Liu stared intently at Chen Lihua.
Chen Lihua stared at her, as well.
Having gotten the hidden message in her eyes, Madam Liu held Old Lady Liu's hand as she gently urged her, "Mother, let's just listen to your grandson, and we are already running late for the party."
Just in time, K2 signalled Chen Lihua that the car was ready.
So Chen Lihua and the other two Mistresses of the Liu Family entered the Rolls Royce, which somehow been adjusted to accommodate the three of them.
With the Old Lady sitting in the middle and with Chen Lihua and Madam Liu, sitting on each of her sides, they left for the party with four extra cars following them.
J5 and three bodyguards were in the car leading the entourage, a car from the Liu Villa followed, the Rolls Royce, Q4 and three bodyguards next, and lastly, the second car from the Liu Villa.
K2 and a driver were in the Rolls Royce with Chen Lihua, Madam Liu, and Old Lady Liu.
"It's just my friend's birthday, is all these necessary?" Old Lady Liu asked, a bit annoyed. She wasn't so happy with the whole fussing around.
"Mother, please be happy. There is nothing wrong with that. Our position allows us to do this," Madam Liu tried placating the Old Lady.
Old Lady Liu still wasn't pleased, but she didn't make a fuss again.
At Chen Lihua and Liu Longwei's villa
Thirty minutes after Liu Longwei terminated the call, his phone rang, and he answered the call immediately.
"Speak!"
The person on the other end sighed, "Michael, you know I am your friend, right?"
But it looks like Liu Longwei wasn't interested in listening to that. So he asked instead of replying to that question, "What did you find?"
Seeing that Liu Longwei was serious, the person on the other end of the phone decided to get right into business.
"You are right! Something is wrong with the atmosphere. There is a planned kidnapping on your side, but I don't know the perpetrators," X replied.
"Who are they planning to kidnap, and what is their motive?" Liu Longwei questioned, in a heavy tone.
"I don't know their motive, but it seems like the target is your wife," X replied in a carefree manner.
Liu Longwei breathed heavily, "Is there no way you can find out who they are?"
"I'm sorry," X replied.
Liu Longwei understood his reason for apologizing; he is not able to track them.
"But I can assure you that they are not your personal enemies, and that's if you didn't make a new one after two years," X said
"I haven't made a new one since then," Liu Longwei replied.
"That's good. With this, I can assure you that it's not from your side. I think you have to let your wife stay in-doors today because it's dangerous outside," X advised.
"It's too late. She went out with my mother and grandmother for a birthday party," Liu Longwei replied as a frown appeared on his face.
X was silent for a few seconds before he spoke up, "If the three of them are together, then their lives might be in danger. But since they just want your life, then I am sure they wouldn't attack till she is on her way back to your house."
"It seems like I have to go and get her myself," Liu Longwei said, a little pissed off.
"That's the right thing to do. I found something, and I will be sending it to your security team now. I wish you the best of luck," X said and terminated the call.
Liu Longwei opened one of the drawers in his table and took out something that looked like a car key. He stood up and walked out with his phone and the item in hand.
Liu Longwei walked into the security building and was immediately informed that X sent something by the head of his security team, AD.
"AD, I need you to figure out what that thing is immediately," Liu Longwei commanded in an authoritative tone.
AD signalled his underlings, and they began to work. They had to break the code before they would be able to access the link.
In thirty seconds, the code was cracked, and the link started to load. When it was done loading, several things that looked like moving pictures started to play.
"Boss, I don't see anything here," the underling that was controlling the screen said in confusion.
All he was seeing were random CCTV footage from different locations. He couldn't see any relevant detail.
"Did you say you can't see anything?" AD asked the underling in a serious tone.
How could X send them something useless?
Liu Longwei and AD moved close to the screen to have a look.
In less than twenty seconds, Liu Longwei gave the underling a look as he asked in a dangerous tone that was hard to detect, "Are you sure you really can't see anything?"
