Chapter 54 - The one she underestimated

Lisa had no idea that her cunning father-in-law had long seen through her acts and already started to spy on her.

Unknowingly,  she began to dance around the minefield that her father-in-law had prepared for her.

Lisa thought that Mr. Ahmed didn't pay any attention to her. She thought that a person at his level wouldn't know anything about an unimportant girl like her.

The worst mistake a person can make is- underestimating his enemy.

But Lisa didn't underestimate her enemy. She underestimated herself!!! She always did.

She had no idea that she had always been a focused figure in her circle.

When LiCorp was at its glory, she was known as the willful,  stubborn girl, pampered girl. But still many people admired her tough character.

She was a troublemaker. But she had never gone aboveboard.

She was mischievous...but she wasn't spoilt.

She was outspoken..but at the same time she knew how to respect the elders.

That was why...despite having some negative traits, many families wanted to marry her into their families.

After LiCorp began to struggle and Lisa stepped in to manage the company,  she was known to everyone as a capable, talented and tough girl.

Lisa also had no idea that Mr. Ahmed had once wanted to arrange marriage between Ruhan and her but her parents rejected it.

She was very careful and detailed in her plan. But she genuinely didn't think that Mr. Ahmed knew her very well. So when she told Mr. Ahmed that she fell for Ruhan and eloped with him, he immediately felt that something was fishy.

He loved his son but he also knew that Lisa was way out of his league.  If Lisa really fell for his petty tricks then he would be very disappointed.

Although he suspected that Lisa was lying,  he decided to play along with her to see how far she could go. When she brought out the marriage certificate and even got Ruhan acknowledge the marriage,  he was really surprised. Just how did she pull through the act!!!! Marriage registration was not an easy thing.  She must have bribed lots of people in order to fake Ruhan's signature as well as the witnesses.

Most importantly,  the paper was not fake. It was a real one!!!

Everyone knew that LiCorp had already bankrupted. From where did Lisa get enough money to bribe all these people and stage this act?

That was the time Mr. Ahmed suspected that someone must have helped Lisa from behind the scene. He tried to find out about those people but in vain.  They were really cunning.

So, in order to flush out the enemy, Mr. Ahmed decided to play along with Lisa. He wanted to bring Lisa into his territory to monitor her closely and to find out the exact plan of his enemies.

"Baki" Mr. Ahmed called his secretary.

"Sir?" Baki replied respectfully.

"Are you done with the preparations?"

"Yes sir...Lisa madam's phone is already bugged..so is her office room. As soon as anyone contacts her we will be able to hear them as well as get their caller id." Baki was really expert at spying on people.

"Good. From now on pay close attention to her. I want to know about each and every details of her life....no matter how small. She might use code language in order to hide her backer. So...we need to be careful." Mr. Ahmed instructed him seriously.

'Really? She is just a girl. Do you have to take her this seriously?? ' Baki complained in his heart. But he didn't have the courage to say anything out loud.

Mr. Ahmed sighed. He had already set the traps. Now all he had to do was wait. It was not a big deal for him. He had always been a very patient person.

'Lisa...if your enmity is with my son only, I might overlook your petty tricks. But if you are indeed a spy, do not blame me for being merciless.'
